Eryn is a lifelong student of nature, starting her Druid path as a child peering into the Yucca flowers, climbing the mimosa and spruce trees, hiding within the viburnum with books about magic. She studied witchcraft most of her life, and found her way to Druidry as a formal path in 2021 when she joined the AODA and OBOD. Eryn is now an Apprentice in the AODA and a committed monk within the Gnostic Celtic Church. She operates the Sacred Grove Druid Home Study Circle at her family's home in South Central Pennsylvania and serves as a mentor to other Druids in the AODA. Eryn's work as an herbalist and spiritual director at The Rebel Herbalist and her podcast, The Plant Witch Podcast, are all deeply embedded in her devotion as a Druid-Witch and are central forms of expression of her monastic vocation.

Jack Campbell joined AODA in 2017, finding his spiritual home in Druidry. He earned the degree of Druid Apprentice in 2018, Druid Companion in 2020, and Druid Adept in 2022. His Druid Adept project combined herbalism with sigil creation to form practical magic workings within the AODA grove ritual. In 2021, Jack was named Grand Almoner and then later consecrated as a Bishop within the Gnostic Celtic Church. That year, he also took on the role of Curriculum Coordinator, assisting AODA Candidates with their self-study plans. In 2022, Jack was named Archdruid of Air and Preceptor of the Gnostic Celtic Church. He works with Novitiates and Deacons as they progress as GCC clergy and also oversees the service-oriented priesthood. In 2023, Jack was named Archdruid of Fire. Jack is also a writer of dark fiction and poetry and has earned masters degrees in both literature and creative writing.

Kathleen has been a member of AODA since early 2015. Her personal spiritual journey began in Catholicism; traveled through the mysticism of Eastern religions; wound through the earthy wonder of Nature Based Religions; eventually arriving at her spiritual home in contemplative Druidry, the AODA and the GCC. As a Druid Apprentice Kathleen became an AODA Mentor. After advancing to the Companion Degree Kathleen developed and coordinated the AODA Member Outreach program and earned the title of Grand Almoner. A deep desire to serve the spiritual needs of the Druid community-led Kathleen to the Gnostic Celtic Church, where she became a Deacon in 2017, an ordained Priestess in 2019, and Preceptor of the GCC and Archdruid of Fire in 2020. As Preceptor Kathleen developed the concept of the “service” path for GCC priests/priestesses and became a consecrated Bishop in 2021. After proposing and developing a monastic path within the GCC, Kathleen became the Abbess of the Gnostic Celtic Church Monastery, which opened its online doors at the Spring Equinox in 2022.
A Contemplative Druid deeply interested in spirituality, Kathleen earned certification as an Interreligious/Interspiritual Guide in early 2020, so she is uniquely qualified to provide Spiritual Guidance services to members of the GCC clergy, as well as to others who walk non-traditional spiritual paths. Kathleen has also completed the Dolmen Arch course, for which she is now a qualified instructor.
Kathleen is an active member of Spiritual Directors International, The Theosophical Society of America, The Parliament of World Religions and is a Bard in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, where she is currently studying the Ovate grade. She lives in Homer Glen, Illinois with her husband, their two sons and two cats.

Valdeir is an AODA Candidate that resides in Half Moon Bay, Ca. With a rich spiritual background that includes Spiritism, Freemasonry and OBOD, he values the connections that exist around us that are reflected in the Earth. His passion for history gives a solid foundation to his spiritual journey. In Valdeir’s commitment to the community by forming the Humanist Lodge of Freemasons, we unpack the similarities of Freemasonry and Druidry in our conversation.
AODA’s podcast focuses on exploring the many aspects of modern druidry through interviewing druids from many walks of life. By hearing each other’s stories and sharing about our paths, we are able to understand and document how diverse modern druid practices are. By sharing the stories of various AODA druids, we can all come to a deeper understanding of our living tradition, build our tradition in new ways, and explore how our values and practices allow for meaningful connection with nature.

We talk with Claire Schosser who became a Companion in May 2018 and joined the Grand Grove as Grand Almoner in late 2018. In September 2019 she became the Archdruid of Fire, advancing to Archdruid of Water in March 2020. Claire Schosser has followed winding physical, vocational, and spiritual paths during her 60+ years of life. Her blog, Living Low in the Lou, documents her efforts to apply the scientific method and ecological concepts to vegetable gardening and her and her husband Mike’s work to reduce their negative impact on the earth. Her Druid path combines the ecological with the spiritual through her gardening practice, her Stream Team work with the local creek, and the Dolmen Arch practices she learned from taking the course. Having completed the Dolmen Arch course in summer 2019, she is qualified to teach it to others.

We talk with Dana O'Driscoll who currently serves as the Grand Archdruid of the AODA and is an Ollave Adept. Her Druid Adept project explored connections between permaculture and druidry and we discuss using natural materials for a variety of projects. Complimentary OBOD studies, family traditions and land healing are also touched on in our conversation with Dana.

Dana O’Driscoll spent most of her childhood in the wooded hills of the Laurel Highlands region of Pennsylvania, making mud pies, building brush cabins, and eating berries. Thankfully, little has changed, and she can still be found practicing permaculture, wildcrafting, and natural arts and is often covered with paint, dirt, or both. She is a certified permaculture designer and teacher. Dana currently serves as the Grand Archdruid of the AODA and is an Ollave Adept. She is also a Druid-grade graduate of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids and served as the 2018 OBOD Mount Haemus scholar. Her Druid Adept project explored connections between permaculture and druidry, the end result of which was published as Sacred Actions: Living the Wheel of the Year Through Earth-Centered Sustainable Practices in 2021. She is also the author and illustrator of the Tarot of Trees, Plant Spirit Oracle, and TreeLore Oracle. Her writings on druidry and permaculture can be found at The Druid’s Garden. In our very first episode Keara and Dave talk about the Ancient Order of Druids in America's highly adaptable curriculum that allows members to "wildcraft" their own individual druid path of nature spirituality and inner transformation through personal experience rather than dogmatic belief.
We discuss our mentoring program and the independent sacramental church of nature spirituality; The Gnostic Celtic Church, the center of the religious dimension of our tradition.
We explore through the AODA values which include the seven core principles that honor the past, respond to the present, and, through nature-based spiritual practice, offer tools to shape the future.
The AODA podcast focuses on exploring the many aspects of modern druidry through interviewing druids from many walks of life. In this episode Laura has graciously joined us to discuss her Druidry.
Laura (she/her) is a Candidate in the AODA, having formally taken up Druidry in summer 2021 after many years of identifying as a pantheist Pagan with a nature-based practice. Her Candidate explorations focus on ogham divination (Druid), tree learning + identification (Ovate), and pyrography (Bard). She lives in Ontario, where the Canadian Shield meets the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands, and builds and celebrates her connection with her environment through hiking, camping, and canoeing the rivers and lakes in the region. She works in post-secondary education and labour organizing and, in her spare time, enjoys reading, music, crafts, and cat cuddles.
