At our Fashion Talks conference in Antwerp in November 2019 Jasmien Wynants talked about sustainability in the fashion industry. She illustrated this topic with real and tangible local efforts, leaving the audience inspired and ready to take action. Jasmien Wynants used to work for Flanders DC and was the driving force behind Close The Loop, the platform that stimulates the fashion industry towards more sustainability. Today Jasmien is working as Sustainability Manager for Xandres and as a freelance expert in sustainable fashion.

Dries Van Noten really needs no introduction. As a member of the legendary Antwerp Six, he helped to put Belgian fashion on the global fashion agenda in the eighties. Today, Dries Van Noten is still one of the most important designers worldwide. In this first episode of the Flanders DC Talks podcast, we go back to 2017, a tipping point for Dries: he was turning 60, had 100 fashion shows behind him and was looking back on his career with a documentary, and a book.
