A lone gunman caused panic in Carlow on Sunday evening. 22-year-old Evan Fitzgerald entered the Fairgreen Shopping Centre and fired multiple shots into the air, causing people to flee for their safety.
No civilians were killed, but one young girl was injured while fleeing.
Fitzgerald died by a self-inflicted gun wound at the scene.

What started off as a career as a prominent spiritual advisor to Hollywood stars, Marianne decided to switch it up completely in 2020. Marianne was one of the many democratic candidates running in 2020 and she ran again in 2024. While her bid for the white house was cut short, Marianne remains a vocal voice in the democratic party.
