Matt Taylor MSc is a highly successful football coach.
Matt is a former professional footballer, who represented numerous clubs during his career including more than 150 appearances for Exeter City.
Matt is a student of the game with both undergraduate and masters level coaching degrees, who completed his UEFA Pro Licence in 2020.
Matt made the transition into coaching towards the end of his playing career, initially with Hartpury College, before moving to Exeter City as defensive coach and then as an extremely successful under 23 coach, prior to being promoted to Manager in 2018.

Rob Baxter spent 14 years as a player at Exeter, with 10 years as Captain, before taking over as lead coach in 2009. Rob’s discusses his journey as a coach and coaching ethos with Exeter, who he coached to promotion from the Championship in his first season, and to winning the English Premiership title in 2016/17 and 2019/20 and the prestigious European Rugby Champions Cup in 2019/20.
