To many, OJ Simpson had it all. Wealth, success and fame. In the 1980s and early 1990s he had the world at his feet. But as the public learned of the former NFL player’s death on Thursday evening, only one thing came to mind. The 1994 murder of Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The subsequent murder “trial of the century” became so mammoth that it changed how entertainment and news have been consumed ever since.

With 50 convictions to his name at the time of his death, Cyril 'Dublin Jimmy' McGuinness was the puppet master of one of the most sadistic and shocking crimes in Ireland’s recent history: The 2019 kidnapping and torture of businessman Kevin Lunney. Despite his death five years ago, Dublin Jimmy continues to make headlines - the latest in a series of court cases linked to him.
