What happens when an award-winning, classically trained soprano decides to move to Nashville with the dream modernizing opera and classical music with the more artistic and gritty artists like Freddy Mercury, David Bowie, and Pat Benatar?
Today’s friend of the podcast truly has the most wild journey we’ve been able to highlight to date. Her story is one of grit, perseverance, and unbridled creativity - as jaw-dropping and heart wrenching as it is inspiring.
She started classical piano training at just 5 years old, opera training at 9, and went on to win number one soprano in the state of Texas for Allstate Choir. At just 16 years old she left high school and moved to Nashville to begin writing music and developing herself as an artist. I’m talking the full gamut as well. Not only is she a brilliant vocalist and songwriter, she’s a truly multi-faceted creator - directing music videos for other bands, knitting, designing clothes, painting, and more.
So without further ado, please welcome - fresh off the release of her debut album La Petite Mort - the epitome of tenacity and artistry, founder of The Purple Cult, and survivor of the Southwest flight 345 crash, Anastasia Elliot.
