What are the quick notes?!
1) You need to let your subconscious mind know that a positive experience is possible for you. You've heard so many negative stories - think about how the word postpartum has shifted it's meaning over time (when you ask most people what it means). We need to swing the pendulum back to positive, and anchor in healthy beliefs about the newborn stage that will translate into a better experience in your reality.
Journal on these 3 questions:
1. what have you heard about the postpartum stage?
2. what negative stories or limiting beliefs have you heard about the first few months with a baby?
3. If you were really honest with yourself, how would you love the newborn stage to feel?
Then, 2) Show yourself evidence of moms who share authentically AND have a positive perception of it. Learn from them. Listen to their stories, their beliefs, their mindset, their response to stress. 3) DECIDE what you want and take ownership over your journey. make choices, and actively prepare yourself and others in your life for a positive, dreamy postpartum. Sometimes poor mental health postpartum can feel blindsiding. Especially if you're someone who typically isn't prone to anxiety or depression.
What is so critical to know and hold on to is that it DOES GET BETTER.
The vision you had for being a present Mom, who also takes care of herself and lives out her purpose and ambitions? It's all possible and within your reach. It might just take some extra work to get there.

Wondering what hypnobirthing births are all about and what those births actually can feel like?
You're about to hear TWO hypnobirthing stories that have so many similarities, despite happening in different parts of the world to two different Mamas.
Hypnobirthing has sooo many benefits. You're able to work with and trust your body, you're able to stay calm during labour and often feel less pain, and you're even able to process birth in a grounded and empowered way (whether it goes according to plan - or not!!).

Today, we'll delve into the importance of trust, breathing techniques, and effective preparation to create a calmer and more easeful birth.

Here are the main tips I expand upon in the episode:
1. Trust Your Body: Labor is a unique time where your body takes the lead. Develop a deep connection with your body during pregnancy. Embrace the uniqueness of this journey and allow your body to guide you.
2. Breathe: Practice extended inhale and exhale early in your pregnancy. Focus on the exhale during the pushing stage. Visualization exercises can be incorporated – a mini-course to guide you through.
3. Preparation IS KEY. You're not going to want to skip OR underestimate the potential of this step: Mental Preparation:
Program your subconscious mind for a positive experience.Reduce fear through mindful practices.Create a flexible birth plan aligned with your vision.Work towards a positive and calm mindset.Physical Preparation:
Engage in fitness routines tailored for pregnancy.Explore various birthing positions for comfort and effectiveness.Support and Environment:
Surround yourself with a supportive network.Create a conducive and calming birthing environment.Be Discerning:
Mental preparation goes a long way in swinging the pendulum back from all the negative birth stories you've probably heard to the positive ones.
Selectively choose information that aligns with your vision. Personalize your preparation based on your desired birthing experience.
Example: For instance, in my own journey, the fear of pain was a significant motivator for preparation. I sought positive, holistic, and empowering birth stories that resonated with my vision. Being discerning in the resources I chose allowed me to curate a positive and calm experience.

This episode is specifically for the second+ time Mama who had a difficult postpartum experience.
