Join us as we pay tribute to Coach Kelly's remarkable career, spanning decades of dedication, leadership, and unparalleled success on the football field and track.
Throughout his tenure at MUHS, Coach Kelly left an indelible mark as a coach, mentor, and leader. With a coaching career that included football, track, and serving as Assistant Athletic Director, Coach Kelly's impact resonated far beyond the scoreboard. He coached alongside the esteemed Dick Basham for 31 years, contributing to eight state championship teams and earning prestigious accolades such as induction into the Wisconsin High School Football Coaches (WHSFCA) Hall of Fame in 2007.
In addition to his accomplishments on the football field, Coach Kelly's prowess extended to track, where he led his teams to victory as head coach in 1995 and 1996, including a state championship win in 1995. His dedication to his athletes and his craft was evident in the success of his teams, both on and off the track.
Despite his illustrious coaching career, Coach Kelly's impact transcends sports. As a teacher in the English Department and Senior Shared Life director at MUHS, he continues to inspire and shape the lives of students beyond the playing field.
