Reflective astrology is a healing practice in which we examine the chart of a challenging moment or period to gain spiritual perspective.
In this reading, we looked at a pivotal moment in Kearstin's life – from late 2022 to early 2023 – that, turns out, was part of a textbook Saturn return!
Within this short time, Kearstin graduated with her M. Div, moved across the country, and experienced her first queer love. And we can see it all in the chart!

Happiness can feel fleeting and elusive. We spend most of our time attempting to achieve happiness, only for it to be short-lived or not live up to the hype. We can be left feeling jaded and even depressed.
I'm *happy* to report that happiness itself is not the problem. It's our approach to happiness.
This is where the concept of eudaimonia, an ancient philosophical term, comes into play. Eudaimonia means good spirit, and gets at what it takes to live well.
In this episode, I break down the key differences between eudaimonia and what we typically think of when we think of happiness. In doing so, you'll see how to embrace eudaimonia in your own life to access true, fulfilling happiness every single day (yes, EVERY single day).

There's so many things that get in the way of knowing and receiving that which we truly desire – whether it's people pleasing, believing having desires is bad, or just being afraid that we really can't have what we want, avoiding our desire altogether.
But we need desire. Desire is not an add-on or a bonus; it's an integral part to living a fulfilling, meaningful life. I'd go so far to say desire is the compass pointing us in the direction of our spirit's purpose. It helps us know if we're on the right track.
Venus is the planet of desire, and her transits bring us experiences that reinforce or clarify that which we desire. While Venus is in Leo, the sign of the Sun, we can expect experiences that reconnect us with what lights us up – and, with Venus retrograde, experiences that help us recognize what we thought we wanted, but no longer do.

When it comes to destructive habits and dispositions, I would argue people pleasing is at the top of the list. 🙅🏻♀️ By definition, people pleasing is making choices based on what you perceive other people's values, needs, and desires are rather than your own – so it directly interferes with having a happy, fulfilling life.🙅🏻♀️People pleasing also undermines your ability to have real relationships with people, because it predicates that relationship on false pretenses. In other words, the person you’re presenting yourself as? Not really you.🙅🏻♀️ Maybe the most insidious thing about people pleasing is that a lot of people who are actually people pleasing don't even know it. Pleasing often looks like “just being nice”. It might even look and feel like empathy.But what it actually is, is a negation of yourself with a capital S: your needs, your values, your desires.When we sacrifice ourselves for external approval, we will end up resentful, angry, frustrated and unclear in every regard in our lives.The good news? There are solutions – of the simple, accessible, and astrological sort. 😊
