I already wrote this summary once but the browser crashed and I'm really grumpy about having to write it again. Tonight's main feature is our first-time watch of The Haunting of the Tower of London by Dark Temple Films. We also do spoiler-free reviews of two shorts: The Thing That Ate the Birds and The Beckoning. Other topics include the Uncanny podcast on BBC Sounds, Doctor Sleep, and the now-legendary FUNNY QUIZ!
-
In our overdue Easter special, we watch a seasonal horror-comedy called Critters 2. We also do a funny quiz, lovingly prepared for us by Adam. Thanks Adam!
-
Tonight we watch a stone cold classic and emerge somewhat bewildered, with some very strong opinions on how to stack boxes. We also recommend some British indies: Homebound by Sebastian Godwin, and the work of George Popov and Jonathan Russell, aka Rubicon Films.
-
Hannah and Ellis watch a low budget (but very interesting) British horror called The Fallow Field. You probably haven't seen it, so, for one night only, we revive the spoiler-free bit that we stopped doing several episodes ago. That's followed by spoilers between 22:00 and 36:50. We also mention Fear Street, another British indie called Followers, and a bit of news about an audiobook from Bafflegab Productions. AND there's a funny quiz. Ambassador, with this hour of content you are really spoiling us.
-
Tonight we watch Malignant and do a funny quiz. One heck of a film - one heck of a quiz.
-
Afraid we've got some minor sound issues this week! If you can hear us, we'll be watching a recent release called The Night House. Spare pants on standby...
-
Lep in the Hood - is the movie good? Hannah finally gets to witness the straight-to-video horror legend. We also cover the 2021 Ghost Story for Christmas, Jack in the Box Awakening, and our fond memories of the Millennium Bug.
-
We're back! Join us for our review of Jordan Peele's Candyman, with brief digressions about The Stylist, Wolf Creek, The Ring, and the whole Leprechaun franchise. No funny quiz sadly, but I promise to rustle one up for next time.
-
A jam-packed episode, and our longest to date! We start off by interviewing Ricky Glore about his imminent Kickstarter, which is going to fund a film called All Your Friends Are Dead. Then we watch and review The Plague of the Zombies by Hammer Horror. THEN we do a funny quiz with puns aplenty. We had a lot of fun on this one - hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
-
Reunited after ten days of self-isolation, Hannah and Ellis struggle to remember Midsommar, which they saw before Ellis got pinged. Hearty thanks to Eloise for the recommendation!
-
Tonight we watch Happy Death Day for the first time and make Hannah do a funny quiz. We recorded the episode together in person, with the exception of the quiz, which was done remotely a few days later. Hope you like it!
-
We're back!! Apologies for the interruption - it turns out we don't like watching films separately, so lockdown turned into a brief hiatus. We're now back in business and couldn't be more delighted. In this reunion show, we talk about toilets, buses and Galaxy Minstrels before sitting down to watch a 1957 film called Night of the Demon. Don't know it? Neither did we. Tune in to find out if we liked it.
-
Join us - or should that be "you're nuts"? - as we discuss Sam Raimi's confusingly-named remake of his own film. Other topics include bad subtitles, chocolate cereal, American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and an exclusive interruption from the Amazon delivery guy.
-
To kick off 2021, we watch Saint Maud in our separate bubbles and then come together for a glowing review. Includes a spoiler-free section at the start.
