Our ability to connect has been challenged over the last 2 years but even before that we were living in an era of disconnect. Technology was meant to improve connection but in so many ways it has replaced it. This episode discusses why and how we need to re-prioritize connection and how it's essential to our happiness.

Listening to our body is easier when we feel pain, but learning to listen to what our bodies need by checking in with our energy and emotions is key in both preventing burnout and enjoying our days more. In this episode I share a recent Tea with Trace from my reset membership.

In the summer it really felt like there was a light at the end of the tunnel with the pandemic. Hitting another dip in one of what is usually peoples most favourite months of the year...well it's thrown alot of people for a loop.. Myself included.
The calls to action in this episode- give yourself some grace, move your body however you are able, lean on your village.

After a couple big emotional family reunions this past couple of weeks, I have been really taking in how big this past year and a half has been on our hearts. Moving forward there will be things I will work to never take for granted again. Hugs being one of them.
A flip of the switch over to the Olympics and the extra inspiration it has given me this year.

In this episode I talk with Dr. Ashley Margeson, ND and Burnout Support specialist about guilt, how it can contribute to burnout and how not listening to those cues from our body can affect our hormones. What I loved most about this conversation was how Dr. Ashley combines her love of science, facts and data and meshes them with natural healing approaches. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed this conversation.

When you know that exercise is good for you. When you know it makes you feel better. When you know it will help but you still can't make it happen....Start.Small. When you are fighting burnout adding something in to your day is overwhelming. That is why I shared the #10for10 challenge for my reset community.

First I want to be clear that I'm not a psychologist and I'm not a mental health professional but I am a mom of 4 kids all of who are completely different from each other with completely unique needs.
In this episode I talk about the importance of letting our kids learn how to do hard things and the extra mental load women carry as we try and care for others in our life.

I listened to two really great podcast episodes recently on burnout and anxiety which I will share below. In listening to the 4 women speak in these two shows, what stuck out with me most is how differently we are all wired. We worry differently, we sleep differently, we exercise differently, we engage with others differently YET we are still all trying to carry the same load as everyone else. It's time we stop looking at our productivity lists to feel good and instead listen to our bodies and our hearts.

As much as kindness is incredibly important, there can be a grey area as to when should we stand up and use our voice and when is it best to stay quiet? Today I'm talking about how we keep our integrity intact but still be kind in a time when voices are needed.
We also jump into a totally different topic- how to uplevel your energy with water!!

Allowing time for rest is an internal struggle for so many people. There is a stigma we place around rest that implies we are lazy, not doing enough or not being enough. I have heard so many women say, I just feel guilty when I stop or I can't turn my mind off. This episode explores how we can implement moments of rest gradually into our lives and how that can impact what we do and how we show up in the world.

A few years ago I really knew absolutely nothing about energy work. I knew my kids had a lot of energy. I knew that I had more energy after I moved my body but beyond that, I didn't know or think much about our mental energy. About how much that plays a role in how we think, how we feel and how we live.
In this episode I chat with the owner of Heart Centered Healing- Sarah Carpenter. We chat about what energy work means to her, how she uses it in her practice and what it can do to help you transform how you feel and ultimately how you live.

From someone who has never been a "morning person," I can tell you that the routine I have been working on evolving over the past 3.5 years has completely changed my life. It took time, it took trial and error and it took my kids starting to sleep a little better. It took not comparing myself to others, it took figuring out what works best for me, it took patience. This is my recipe and it's important we structure our life to find the best one for ourselves. We are all different but we are all the same in that we thrive bigger when we take time for ourselves.
