Today I am joined by my friend Tanin Matin who is a spiritual teacher, multi-dimensional trauma healer, speaker and shamanic medicine ceremonialist. In this episode Tanin explains how she got into the world of exorcism work through having her own experience with an entity attachment and she also shares some stories of the experiences she’s had throughout this journey.
We talk about the nature of demonic entities and the different levels of dark entities that exist in the field. Tanin also gives some great tips on how to know if you are experiencing an entity attachment and how to protect yourself from these low vibrational spirits. Tanin shares the importance of learning about parts work and how knowing about Internal Family Systems can greatly assist us in tracking our systems and differentiating between what is trauma and what is an entity attachment.
Throughout this discussion we ponder what is the purpose of lower vibrational entities and how we can shift our perspective from fearing them to recognizing that they also have a role to play in the grand multi-dimensional design of the Universe. Tanin also dispels some of the misconceptions about demons and dark entities and helps us to come into a more well rounded understanding of what these beings are and how they operate.
We also talk about the dark nature of Hollywood and explore the concept of what it means for someone to “sell their soul”. We dive into the dark nature of the music industry and we share our thoughts that maybe “selling your soul to the devil” doesn’t always happen in the way that people think.
This is such a potent and powerful episode and if you are curious or have fear around demons or dark entities, this episode can really help you to expand your perspective and also potentially shift from fear to awareness and find a deeper trust in yourself.

Today's vulnerable solo episode is a life update and a deeply important conversation about the lessons I've received through experiencing death and grief. I start off the episode by sharing the experiences I've had dealing with the loss of my parents and the way that has shaped my relationship with death. I continue on to give you all the story of my beautiful cat Gypsy who recently made her transition to the spirit world. For those of you who have experienced the loss of a pet, you know how difficult it is to lose such an important member of your family.
I also share a bit about my journey to Costa Rica to assist at an Ayahuasca retreat, which coincided with the death of my cat. I share about an experience of rebirth that I had in my Ayahuasca journey and how this death of an old way of being was directly connected to Gypsy's passing.
I also talk about the many lessons I've received through grief and loss. I share some perspective on the ways that our society deals with death and the way that most people don't fully know how to deal with death. I also talk about how I believe we've been deprived of the full integration of death as a part of life.
This was such a deeply painful process that has cracked my heart open in so many ways that I'm still integrating. Thank you so much for receiving my tender heart <3

In today’s episode I am joined by my dear friend Akasha Kimeya to discuss the very important topic of the abuse that can happen in ceremonial shamanic spaces when the leaders in theses spaces are out of integrity. Akasha details some of the experiences she had in what some people would call a plant medicine cult. She describes her traumatic first experience sitting with Ayahuasca and the time she spent living in this community. Akasha shares the conflicting feelings of having beautiful experiences of connection with others in the community while also navigating the darkness and the narcissism of the head facilitator that lingered just under the surface.
Akasha gives some tips on how to spot red flags in plant medicine facilitators and how to find a ceremonial space that is safe and held in the highest integrity. We also discuss the dangers that can happen when you put someone on a pedestal that makes you unable to see abuse while it’s happening. We talk about the importance of self awareness in positions of leadership and the ways that the ego can take control when someone is lacking that self awareness.
We also talk about people being attracted to these cult-like spaces due to the lack of connection and community that so many people experience. When you add plant medicine to the mix, these situations can easily get out of hand and being new to the medicine can amplify the potential of abuse when you don’t know what a safe container is supposed to feel like. We also detail the ways that people who have already experienced narcissistic abuse or other traumas are more susceptible to these kinds of situations because there is an aspect that feels familiar.
This is such an important episode and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you all. While the topic today is rather serious and heavy, Akasha and I still find a way to make it fun and even share some laughs throughout the episode.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this episode and if you do it would mean so much if you could leave a review on whatever podcast platform you are listening on.

In today’s episode I am joined by Michelle Elizabeth, who is a Magdalene Priestess unlocking remembrance of lost healing & temple arts. She helps women heal from toxic relationships and come home to self by activating inner union. Michelle works closely with Rose to heal and transform the heart space. She also handcrafts artisan candles & hosts in person creative workshops and healing ceremonies throughout the Washington DC area.
In this episode Michelle and I discuss the energy of the priestess archetype and the different kinds of priestesses that once existed all over the world. We discuss the ways that these priestess lineages were nearly completely erased and the remembrance of this ancient wisdom that many women are feeling called to cultivate at this time. We also talk about the manipulation and distortion of Christianity and the true origins of Christian mysticism.
Michelle tells us the story of a past life regression she experienced where she remembered being a priestess in ancient times and how this regression began her journey of embodying her inner priestess. She also gives some tips and modalities to help women activate the priestess energy within them, and the many initiations that priestesses go through to ignite their inner wisdom. It’s not always an easy path, but it is incedibly rewarding. We also discuss the power of Rose medicine and how Rose is deeply connected to the priestess energy, particularly the Magdalene Rose priestess lineage. This lineage is deeply connected with Mary Magdalene and has ties all the way back to ancient Egypt, Atlantis and Lemuria.
We also get into a very important conversation about channeling and how to do so safely. Within this discussion we talk about entities and how to protect yourself and use discernment in cultivating your psychic channel.
This is such a juicy episode and I really hope you all enjoy it!

Today I am joined by my amazing friend Raquel Moragues who is a reiki master, trauma informed life mentor who is incredibly passionate about holistic healing. We begin our conversation discussing the shifts that are occurring for us since the recent eclipse, and the ways that meditation can help us to regulate our nervous systems. Our discussion evolves into a very important conversation about meeting your own needs and setting boundaries in motherhood and beyond.
We talk about the resentment that many mothers feel when they fall into patterns of neglecting their own needs and putting everyone else before themselves. This can cause so much stress for mothers when they become the martyrs for their families and completely sacrifice their needs and desires. We talk about the ways that mothers will sometimes project this resentment onto their children and partners and the ways that this causes children to carry shame and feelings of being a burden. Raquel expresses the challenges she faces as a single mother and her evolution into conscious parenting. I truly believe there is nothing more important than parents in this time of human evolution, and as parents become more conscious this gives us the opportunity to rewrite the toxic patterns of our family’s lineage and to give our children the space to grow and evolve into who they are meant to be. Through healing our own trauma, we can prevent it from being passed down to our children and I believe that this is truly what will bring the most radical change in the world. I also share my experiences of coming in contact with my spirit babies who are not yet in form and the ways I have been preparing myself for motherhood before that time comes.
Raquel and I also discuss how our children are our greatest teachers and can be such a catalyst in our evolution. Such an important part of conscious parenting is being able to hold space for children’s emotions by creating a safe space for us to also process our own emotions. This conversation really illuminates the ways that parents in our society need community around them and the need for creating a more mother-centered structure in families. A nourished mother creates a nourished family, and a neglected mother creates a neglected family.
This was such a beautiful conversation and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

In today's solo episode I am discussing my experience of integrating from plant medicine journeys. I talk about the ways in which integrating from plant medicine experiences as a westerner can be incredibly challenging due to the structure of our society and the ways that many of us are isolated and disconnected from nature. I also give some practical tips on how we can make our integration more smooth and harmonious.
We're getting raw and vulnerable in this episode as I discuss my journey of healing my inner critic and releasing the fear of judgment. I also discuss some realizations I've had recently regarding the ways that we carry and identify with stories that do not belong to us. I talk about my recent journey with Ayahuasca and how she showed me the stories of suffering and hardship that I've been carrying from my maternal lineage and the ways that has played out in my life. I also discuss the ways that microdosing has supported me in my integration of plant medicine experiences.
I really hope you enjoy this episode and if you do it would mean so much to me if you would leave a review! This helps the podcast to grow and allow more people to receive the medicine of these conversations.

In today’s episode I am joined by my dear sister Lauren Eliz Love. Lauren is an entrepreneur, spiritual mentor and earth medicine facilitator who helps women to heal chronic health issues, rewrite their past traumas and build the legacy of their dreams. She has transmuted her own deep spiritual initiations into medicine for the collective and she has an abundance of wisdom that she shares through her digital courses and programs.
In this episode Lauren tells us about the journey that led her to the plant medicine path. She explains how she went through a period of time where she was taking a variety of pharmaceutical medications to deal with her mental health issues, which led her to her first experience with sacred mushrooms. She also tells us how she was at the height of her business while behind the scenes dealing with debilitating chronic health issues that hindered her ability to complete simple daily tasks. Lauren details how she made the decision to take a spiritual sabbatical and move to Sedona, AZ for an entire year to study deeply with plant medicine and heal her body. Through her plant medicine study, she came to the realization that her physical and mental health issues were rooted in the trauma that she had experienced as a child. Lauren tells us how she found the deepest healing of her life through ceremonial work with Ayahuasca, Kamba and Bufo.
We also get into a really important conversation on the topic of cultural appropriation and the ethics of white people sitting with and serving plant medicines. We examine how we can do our best to remain in integrity and right relationship with indigenous medicines and how to support and uplift indigenous people. Lauren discusses the surprising and unexpected circumstances that led her to facilitating some of the same medicines that helped her heal her life, and the backlash she has received for sharing these aspects of herself online. We also talk about what to look for in a plant medicine facilitator and what to do if you are feeling called to facilitate plant medicine experiences yourself. The path to becoming a facilitator of earth medicine is a deep initiatory path that is not for everyone. Lauren discusses some of the lessons and initiations that she has experienced that have deepened her awareness and ability to hold safe space for others. This is one of my favorite episodes to date and I hope that you all enjoy it as much as I did!

In today's solo episode we are discussing the concept of power. We'll talk about what it means to be empowered, the ways that we give our power away and how we can reclaim that power from external forces.
We'll also discuss the ways that humanity has become disempowered and allowed institutions to have control over the way we live our lives. We uncover the ways in which humanity has relinquished its power to external influences and societal norms. From the subtle dynamics of everyday life to the broader structures of authority and control, we examine how these forces shape our perceptions and limit our potential.
Join me as we embark on an empowerment revolution, challenging the status quo and embracing the limitless possibilities that come with reclaiming our power. It's time to break free from the chains of authoritarian control and embrace the true power that lies within all of us.

Is it possible that the Christmas myth of Santa Claus and his flying reindeer originated from mystical experiences with psychedelic mushrooms?
In today’s special holiday episode I am joined by Ryan Griffith, a man who has dedicated himself to the exploration of consciousness and the pursuit of spiritual wisdom. He is a plant medicine student and just a magical wizard filled with knowledge of many different plants and fungi, including the one we are highlighting here today: The Amanita Muscaria mushroom.
There is a lot of correlation between our modern day Christmas celebration and the Amanita Muscaria mushroom (also known as the fly agaric mushroom), much of which comes from ancient Siberian shamanic traditions and similar traditions in neighboring parts of Europe. Many of the holidays we celebrate today have history in pagan traditions and it’s apparent to me that Christmas is definitely one of them. Christmas also aligns with the holiday of Yule, which is a winter festival historically observed by Germanic and Scandinavian people from centuries long past. This is just a piece of what we get into in today’s podcast.
In this episode Ryan explains the compounds within the Amanita Muscaria mushrooms and the benefits of working with them. He also describes how to process them in order to work with them safely AND he tells us the difference between Amanitas and Psilocybin. We also talk about empowering ourselves to reclaim our birthright to work with sacred plants and the importance of keeping plant medicines out of the hands of government and pharmaceutical gatekeepers.
We even get into a fascinating conversation about the future of AI and the potential of AI to help solve a myriad of problems in our society. We discuss the fears that many of us have in regards to the negative potential of AI and how we can shift our perspective to hopefully steer these technological advancements in the right direction.
I had so much fun recording this episode and I really hope you all enjoy as well!
Happy Holidays to everyone and thank you for listening and supporting this podcast.

She explains how she had to release her expectations of the medicine experience in order to receive the healing that she needed.
We also discuss both of our struggles with cannabis dependency and the ways that we can shift our perspective to see cannabis as a psychedelic medicine and give her the respect she deserves.

In today's episode I am joined by Ivette Avalos who is a spiritual mentor, reiki and light language healer assisting women in reconnecting with their feminine energy and helping people to find the light within. In this episode we discuss masculine and feminine polarity in relationships and how we as women can reclaim our feminine energy to heal our lives and become MAGNETIC!
So many women today are burnt out and exhausted from operating primarily in their masculine energy. This causes us as women to become stiff and and rigid, disconnecting us from the ease and softness of our feminine flow. Many of us have had to take on these masculine roles because we have learned that it's not safe to trust the men in our lives, or maybe we never had strong and healthy masculine role models to look up to. Regardless, so many issues can arise when women are disconnected from their feminine flow. This is something I've personally experienced in my own life and am still working to heal.
We also talk about the difference between toxic masculinity and healthy masculinity, and dive into some of the pitfalls that happen in our relationships when the polarity is imbalanced. We also share some personal stories and give some practical tips on how to reconnect with your feminine energy as a woman.

In today's episode we are diving into my second Ayahuasca journey. In this journey I went deep into some inner child healing and releasing a lot of blockages that I had around the fear of being judged by others. The medicine really helped me to go deep into emotions that were blocking me from expressing myself authentically and aligning with my purpose.
I also talk about an experience I had where I felt the intense pain of sacred plants like tobacco and the coca plant, and the ways in which they have been mutilated and vilified by our modern society.

Welcome to the very first episode of the We Are the Medicine Podcast!
In this episode we discuss my first ever Ayahuasca experience which took place in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. During this psychedelic journey I learned a lot about letting go of control and how to surrender. Once I finally let go and surrendered to the medicine, I was able to allow Ayahuasca to truly begin her healing on me and I discovered parts of myself that I always knew were there but hadn't allowed myself to embrace.
