Il mio sogno americano - La vera storia di Raffaele Trequarti.
La vicenda di questo podcast ci porta a cavallo tra l'Italia e l'America, tra le asperità della povertà e il potere della crescita sociale, un intreccio di nostalgia e nuove opportunità. È la vera storia di Raffaele Trequarti, giovane abruzzese di Avezzano, che all'inizio del Novecento lascia la sua terra e la vita modesta che lo lega ad essa, per inseguire il tanto ambito sogno americano.
Dopo un avvio segnato dalle difficoltà di Ellis Island e dall’abbandono di uno zio inaffidabile, Raffaele si trasferisce a Detroit, dove diventa un collaboratore fidato di Henry Ford, conoscendo così il successo e il benessere economico promesso dall’America di quegli anni. Tuttavia, il violento terremoto che nel 1915 devasta la Marsica e la malinconia per Margherita, la ragazza lasciata in patria, lo costringono a riconsiderare l’intera avventura oltreoceano.
Raffaele, sconvolto dalle notizie sul proprio paese in rovina, decide di “restituire l’America agli americani” e di tornare a casa. In Abruzzo riscopre l’autentico significato dei valori familiari, dell’amore e del senso di comunità, ben più preziosi del denaro e dell’ambizione. Sposa Margherita e, forte delle competenze acquisite negli Stati Uniti, investe nella ricostruzione di Avezzano, lavorando alla rinascita del luogo in cui è cresciuto. Nonostante il fascino irresistibile del Nuovo Mondo, Raffaele trova nella quiete delle montagne abruzzesi la pienezza e l’armonia da sempre cercate.

In deze originele audiofilm praat de trouwe Sovjetwetenschapper Tatjana (Victoria Koblenko) in 1957 via een radioverbinding tegen Laika, de hond die zojuist met een raket in een baan rond de aarde is geschoten. Terwijl ze probeert de hond te kalmeren, vreest ze dat de dagen met haar man Jevgeni ook geteld zullen zijn als Laika sterft. Bovendien plant het lot van de hond een zaadje van verzet tegen het regime van Chroetsjov. Hoe kan het dat Laika zoveel voor haar is gaan betekenen?
