12 RULES FOR LIFE is a self-help book written by Canadian clinical psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson. The book is based on mythology, psychology, ethical principles and obviously, Peterson's personal insights. The foundational idea of this book is that life is suffering but it is your choice to live in its denial and suffer passively or you can actively face the suffering and even transcend it. This summary is just an introduction to the ideas presented in the book and to properly understand the depth of the message, reading the entire book should be obvious.
