In what was dubbed as the battle for 2nd place, the Toon Army were gunned down by Arsenal. A good performance saw Newcastle United leave the Emirates knowing they still need a win to secure UCL qualification. A game of 2 halves with missed opportunities without our star talisman means it's all to play for with one game remaining. Let the battle commence!

What a gripping performance that was! The Mags came away from this huge 6-pointer with the Win! Having started the match as the superior side, however the second half was anything but - with a lack of cutting edge in the final third....Queue our captain's heroics to send SJP into frolics! A huge 3 points gained in the sunshine with 2 games left to play. Champions League Football is very much in our hands and Chelsea now cling on to faint hopes of qualification after losing to NUFC. Newcastle United hosted Ipswich Town and secured a convincing win. In what is now fondly recognised as the "Sir Bobby Robson Derby," the Magpies ran out 3-0 winners against the 10 men Tractor Boys. The highlight of the afternoon was a first Premier League goal from our very own Will Osula in what was an eventful match. Victory sees the Toon Army back on track for the UCL hunt, with bigger tests to follow in the coming weeks.

Newcastle United were handed a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa, in what was a harsh reminder that the race for for a top 5 finish may not be as smooth as some first thought. Was this just simply one of those days? Or is there more cause for concern? Did the absence of Howe play a factor or were Villa simply THAT good? Either way the coaching staff and players will need to do all they can to ensure days like this are not repeated.

The Toon Army strolled to a comfortable 4-1 victory against Manchester United. Another Man of The Match performance from our Italian Maestro, Sandro Tonali, also saw Harvey Barnes score a lovely brace. On a day slightly overshadowed by the absence of Eddie Howe due to sickness, the win moved Newcastle United up to 4th place with a game in hand on 3rd place Nottingham Forest. Up next is another home game this time against Crystal Palace. Can the Toon Army continue the great form and move even higher up the league table? We will soon find out!

On a cold night in East London, the Toon Army came away with a crucial win against West Ham. With one eye on the cup final, victory was more important than the performance. Eddie Howes men ground out the posture result to take some confidence into the big game and the remainder of the season. With injuries and suspensions throughout the squad this was a time for squad players to stake their claim. Newcastle are still in the hunt for Champions League qualification and this victory will help towards achieving that.

Arguably the biggest fixture of the season is when Newcastle face Liverpool, historically it serves as an epic thrilling game, whether if you're a neutral or a fan of either sides. Both sides are finalists for the Carabao Cup Final which will take place in a few weeks - so what we have here is a good opportunity to see how both of these teams face each other. In the reverse fixture back in December, the game ended in a 3-3 draw - which featured wonder goals from Gordon, Isak and Salah. A tough game to predict - but how will these teams set up against each other? Will both coaches be coy about their tactics and save them for the Carabao Cup Final? Or will both teams go all out for a win? Join the 90s Mags lads as they review and discuss this epic game!

As we continue to strive for European competition places, Newcastle United welcome Nottingham Forest to St James' Park. To start, we have to address how well Nottingham Forest are doing this season as they continue to hold onto 3rd place in the Premier League. Esprito Santo's team have surprised many oppositions this season and is a team that shouldn't be taken lightly. However, the last time these two team faced each other in the Premier League back in November - Newcastle won the game 3-1 with Isak, Joelinton and Barnes on the score sheet. With the reverse fixture set at St James' Park, we can ensure we're in for a very entertaining game. How will Eddie Howe set the team up against Nottingham Forest? Can we secure another win and do the double on Nottingham Forest? Join the 90s Mags lad as they discuss and review this very highly anticipated game!

Old habits die hard...NUFC threw away a great opportunity to establish themselves in 4th place and put a gap to those in the chasing pack, but instead lost to the cottagers at home. Certainly feels like snakes and ladders at the moment. Will this result be the wake up call that we need, or is it a sign of more shaky form to come? One thing for sure is Fulham doing the double on us this season was not foreseen. Make sure you join us as we break it all down.

The Mags recovered from their indifferent performance last week with a professional and comprehensive 3-1 defeat of Southampton at St. Mary's. Was it convincing enough to show the previous result was a blip? 3 points keeps NUFC in the hunt for top 4 and they did so at a canter without getting out of 2nd gear. With tough fixtures to come, where does this leave us? Join the lads as they break it all down.

So the winning run is over, the magpies were defeated 4-1 at home by the Cherries...and at a wimper! Bournemouth came to SJP and stifled NUFC. A disappointing way to end a good run for the team. Was it just a bad day at the office or is this a significant step backwards. Make sure you join us as the lads break it all down.

After a magnificent win (our 9TH in a row if you weren't keeping count) in what was an exhilarating, energetic and impressive performance against Wolves, NUFC have catapulted themselves into the conversation for top 4 (and perhaps even higher). The Toon Army are on the charge and we are continuing to build some great momentum. Is it time to Believe? Join the lads as the provide analysis and break it all down.
