After a year, the show is BACK! This time, in-person to do away with all the hassles of Zoom calls! My guest is world-renowned dance artist, choreographer, host and one of my all-time favorite dancers, Jesse Gotangco. We talked about having dance as a career here in the Philippines, what he's looking forward to for this weekend's HHI PH World Championships, where he's judging and I'm hosting.

First episode of the year is with Dani Marcos, proud mother of Lucas.
We talked about her experience getting pregnant at 20, raising a kid with all the challenges and blessings in between. I was a bit nervous opening this discussion up given that this is sort of a taboo topic in our society…but thank God I did it anyway coz I learned a lot from this conversation!!

Happy almost New Year! This episode is a little more personal, I share how the end of the year has been like for me, specifically with my recent career updates, the LIFE I finally experienced these last months and some of the many realizations I had as I turned another year older. This is the last episode of the year and my last for a while. Thank you for the support all throughout this year, can’t wait to have and share more brain-tickling conversations with all you quarter-life crisis facers!

Here’s another interesting story about someone who moved from Manila to La Union! I had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Carms during my brief trip to LU. We talked about the challenges of being a freelancer, figuring life out in this stage of our lives and more. What struck me was that she chose to leave college, a path foreign to many Filipinos that grew up in the traditional household where a college degree was a non-negotiable. She is the creative director of Munimuni, a model, an occasional tattoo artist…and prefers the sunrise over the sunset?!
I got on a zoom call with her and despite the brownout in LU at that time, we luckily got to record this enlightening conversation.

Entrepreneur and Bassist of She’s Only Sixteen, Anjo Silvoza joins the show…IN PERSON! I was able to meet up with Sabong’s very own Renaissance Man during my trip to La Union to talk about his story. How is it like uprooting yourself, leaving Manila and moving to La Union…all while figuring out how to run a food stall? We got into detail with all the random opportunities and coincidences that ultimately led him to where he is today.
Here’s the story that’s as juicy and captivating as his chicken.

How has living and studying abroad been? What is her relationship with her mother like? My goodness I have never been Popoy & BASHED this much in my life! Hahaha today I share my experiences making and dealing with my recent episode which guested a Martial Law Detainee. What happened during the Martial Law era now seems to be a debate rather than a depiction of actual facts. I learned most of my Martial Law knowledge from my parents’ stories. It wasn’t really discussed in school and our nation seems to have forgotten its greatest tragedy in the past 50 years. This episode enters unchartered territories as I’ve often shied away from talks about politics but even if I’m scared, I believe this conversation needs to be heard by this generation.
For this episode, my guest, whose name and face will remain hidden for security reasons (I know, I’m also shocked that we even have to do this) was detained back in 1972 and he joins me for a conversation between generations to talk about his experiences. Listen intently, LEARN, and let’s not repeat the same mistakes.
I would like to thank the Ateneo Martial Law Museum for making this episode possible.

I enjoyed my morning car rides going to school because of my guest, Chico Garcia, who is a radio LEGEND. He is the host of The Morning Rush, one of the longest running radio shows by Monster RX 93.1. After numerous awards, countless laughs and smiles shared under his belt, Chico delivers another light and meaningful conversation packed with insights. We talk about how he got started in radio, where it’s led him and figuring out your career path in general.

For the Medical Series Recap, I invited one of my favorite brains to join the show, who happens to be the President of Epimetrics Inc., a Public Health Research Firm and a Part-Time Professor at ADMU. We talk about some of the insights and moments from the past two episodes with Gio Ilagan (4th Year Med Student) and Dr. Gary Lorenzo (Oncologist) as well as her career story. Ekay is one person who has THE RANGE and is a great example of someone who knows when to have fun and when to get serious. From partying in college to taking a certificate course in Stanford, she understands and lives the BALANCE.

I am blessed and honored to have one of the top oncologists in the Philippines, Dr. Conrado C. Lorenzo III as my next guest. What’s it like dealing with dying people on a regular basis? What lessons has he picked up from his decades in the profession, dealing with real people and learning real stories. I have to admit this conversation was a little heavy at times because of the topic, but the insights about how death is a beautiful thing really added to my outlook on life.
Just so you know how legit he is, here are his credentials:
He is affiliated with Makati Medical Center, Asian Hospital & Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center, Global City. Director of the Makati Medical Cancer Center. He is the Head of Patient Services at the Makati Medical Cancer Center. He obtained his MBA degree from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, completing an MBA in Health and completed a year of advanced education at the Harvard Medical School’s Southeast Asia Healthcare Leadership Program.
This man has a very interesting story but hands down has the best VOICE I’ve had on this podcast!

Starting off the Medical Series is 4th Year ASMPH Medical Student and Vlogger, Gio Ilagan. He’s in a very interesting position, being part of the “Google Docs” (what do you call a doctor na natuto virtually?) generation or the guinea pig generation that had to adjust and adapt to the pandemic.
