t is impossible to explain who Anna Tur is without talking about her music, or better
said, her relationship with music. To know when it came into her life is a difficult task
and not because it requires deep investigation but because it feels like it was always
there. Two inseparable realities that coexist in perfect symbiosis. Three in fact,
because if there is something that defines Anna Tur as much or more than music, it
is her beloved island, Ibiza.
Honest, positive, spiritual, perfectionist, passionate, elegant and fun are all
adjectives that best describe Anna Tur and her style. Her balanced combination
between house and techno has taken her to play at the biggest international clubs
and festivals. Maybe that's the secret to why the DJ and producer from Ibiza
manages to connect with the public in such a characteristic and unique way. An
ability that has allowed her to develop a very close bond with her fans who loyally
accompany her in each of her projects. A support that is also shared by the
electronic industry, from her colleagues to critics and specialized media.
In addition to her music, her work on the airwaves has contributed to this recognition,
respect and international projection. For almost two decades, Anna Tur was the
General Manager of Ibiza Global Radio TV, one of the most important radio stations
dedicated to advanced music in the world. Without her work, it would be impossible
to understand the success of the station. After her departure, without leaving behind
the radio spirit that characterizes her so much, the Ibizan created On Air with Anna
Tur. A radio program in podcast format, in which Anna presents her favorite music,
new releases and invites special guests, from the most influential figures in the
scene to upcoming talent that she supports.
And her ventures don’t stop here. To her music, performances, live broadcasts and
radio show we must add her most recent project: LOWLITA Records. A label that
Anna Tur has created together with Gonçalo Miranda and Hosse, with an identity
based on the groove of house music fused with techno and industrial forcefulness.
With hundreds of performances on five continents, successful releases, several radio
shows and so many more projects behind her in just a couple of decades, one can
only wonder, where will Anna Tur take us next?

Starting in the electronic music scene as an ambassador of rave culture in Maracaibo (Venezuela), Carlos Siu, previously known as DJ Cuyi,
has always found his interest extremely close to the dancefloor. After being at the forefront of the Hard Techno scene in his home country
for more than a decade, and after completing multiple tours in LATAM and EU, he is now based in Bogota, Colombia. Here, Carlos found comfort
in a new sound, a new aesthetic, and a new alias that references the core of his influences as a young raver. Confidential Recipe is the outcome
of a lifetime of explorations in the raw sounds of Techno, Jacking, House, and Electro. His DJ'ing style is something that characterizes his
approach when it comes to making tunes. Having created and promoted several events throughout his entire career, Confidential Recipe knows
how to engage with the energy of the crowd. Delivering hard pounding kick drums, neck-snapping percussions, and hypnotic melodies that will
ensure a unique experience for every booth he plays.

"Filterheadz are best known for their smash techno hits Sunshine & Yimanya as well as
their highly energetic DJ performances.
It all started when Bert & Maarten picked up guitar and drums and took the first steps on
the way to Rock ‘n Roll stardom.
After hammering away in rehearsal rooms and local stages their dream to become rock
stars took a surprising twist. Almost by accident they discovered the House Music and
started experimenting with loops and disco samples.
Their remix of Minimalistix 'Struggle for Pleasure' became an instant progressive house
classic.
Together with DJ Tomaz they embarked on a Techno journey that would lead them to Carl
Cox’ Intec where they released their all time classic “Sunshine”. Taking their signature
sound even further Filterheadz released “Yimanya”, another festival classic.
Extensive tours took Filterheadz to every corner of the globe and placed them high on the
bill of events like I love Techno, Dance Valley & Tomorrowland and headlining clubs like
Zouk, Ageha, Womb, Fabrik Madrid & Egg London.
2012 marked the 10th anniversary of Sunshine and a release of a smashing remix
package on 1605. They also put themselves back on the Techno map with a string of new
releases on Intec, MB Elektronics, 1605, Bedrock and Bitten.
2015, Filterheadz join forces with Toolroom: With 5 charting singles, including Flying
Colours and Curve plus a Toolroom Live mix album.
After a string of consistent, quality EP’s, Filterheadz make their return to Toolroom Trax in
2017 with their debut artist album ‘Magnetic’.
‘Magnetic’ encapsulates that signature Filterheadz sound providing plenty of Techno
grooves, atmospheric synths, locomotive drum sequencing and hooky vocals. Offering 18
club ready weapons and a full-length DJ mix to complete the package, ‘Magnetic’
ventures into the darker side of Tech House and Techno. Highlights include ‘Ricochet’
with it’s pumping b-line, the instantly catchy ‘Kaleidoscope’ with it’s atmospheric builds,
chunky Techno roller ’Paper City’ and ‘Raised By Wolves’ with those progressive techno
vibes. Also included are past hits ‘Clockwise’, ‘Curve’, ‘In The Box’ and ‘Flying Colours’.
2019: Techno veterans Filterheadz keep pushing forward with a string of releases on
Tronic, Unity Records and Transmit Records. More inspired and productive than ever, the
unique Filterheadz sound that blends techno beats and melody keeps rocking dance
floors all over the world."

Istanbul born and based Ferhat Albayrak is one of the true pioneers of techno in his territory. Istanbul, a city of chaos and diversity, reflects and forms the basics of Ferhat’s Sound in terms of dynamism: distinctive, seductive, innovative and Technologic with soul. He has been is a passionate Techno-Head since the beginning and Techno is the best genre for him to express himself in the object of the beat.
He is spinning Techno since 1996, his impressive and endless gig portfolio includes Space Ibiza, Global Gathering UK, Sonar Festival, Love Parade and many others, inc. almost every clubs & festivals in the region.
His discography since 2007 includes respected labels like Tronic, Intec, Second State, Elevate, KD Raw to name a few.
“Evolving Wisdom” released on Jeton Records reached No:3 Spot on Beatport Techno Chart and this success let him to be known from different territories.
He has been heavily supported by Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer who play and release his music consistently, share the same stage several times.
Ferhat also runs his own label, Jeton Records est. in 2009, became the first and the biggest international imprint coming out from the region, also managed to be the biggest Techno promoter in his own country.

One of the most innovative artists in the realm of techno, Canada -based DJ/producer Kuvoka unleashed his debut production “Kargi” in 2018, following his 3-year DJing career playing at several prominent venues and festivals. Having collaborated with legendary pioneering artist Richie Hawtin and taken part in the
2019 A/V album “Close Combined” with this project, Kuvoka quickly made a name for himself through collaborative projects with the Jeton Records founder Ferhat Albayrak such as “Dematerialize”, “Tube Alloys” and “Aksak” as well as with solo works the likes of “Green”, “Randomize” and “Silent Storm” on outstanding record labels Second State, Tronic, KD RAW and Jeton Records to name a few.
He racked up over 2 million streams on Spotify from collaborative tracks with Spanish duo Dok & Martin and Canadian artist Norman Rocheleau. His sound caught the attention of various figures like Julian Jeweil, ANNA, Wehbba, Pan-Pot, Christian Smith and Alan Fitzpatrick, along with Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and his music has been featured
in some of the biggest editorial playlists on Spotify such as Techno Bunker, Techno State, Night Rider and New Music Friday Cratediggers. Kuvoka looks nowhere else but ahead for 2022 with another scintillating collaboration with Kenan Doğulu, one of Turkey’s most acclaimed pop stars. They joined forces with each other to serve up a wonderfully wistful reinterpretation of Doğulu’s 1994 song “Sımsıkı Sıkı Sıkı”.
Spinning his unique take on techno music across numerous venues such as Zorlu PAC, Klein Phönix, Kite, 2020, IF Performance Hall, Gorgomish, Tabu, Vantek, Suma Han and Roots, Kuvoka has added a new dimension to his performance practice in 2021 through a show-specific alter ego, Kuvoka+, which reflects the artist’s stance on always promising experiences beyond the standards. As the Kuvoka project continues at full steam via the creative dynamism and energy in the artist's productions that we are accustomed to, Kuvoka+ keeps on strengthening its position that always offers more to the audience on the dance floor both in Turkey and around the world day by day.

Hey guys,i am really proud to present a very new episode of the Global Grooves Radioshow. For this show i invited a really special artist. I just love what she is doing! Here some facts out of her BIO she is telling you:"I dreamed of making music back in the 70s. At that time I was an absolute Hard Rock fan and I loved thesound of Status Quo and AC/DC later on. I always wanted to play electric guitar and I kept bugging myparents about it until they finally bought me a cheap Strat copy and a small amp in a departement store.I was then the guitarist in our school band. We played the songs of our idols and partly our own. No onenew notes, everything by ear. We were well known in our town and had a great time.Then in the 80s funk and soul music made me sit up and take notice. This driving groovy sound had done itto me. I was by chance (in the early 80s) Djane in a small disco in our town and played the popular disco,soul and funk hits of the 70s and 80s.That was also the time when i first got in touch with sythesizers. We still had our band and one day we hada keyboard player. He had a Yamaha synth that caught my attention. And then came the time of synth popwith Depeche Mode, Human League, Duran Duran, just to name a few.I don't remember exactly when I first came aware of techno music. Artists like Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, SteveStoll, Richie Hawtin, K.Hand etc. flashed me with their minimalist sound. The sound of the drummachinesthat was so incredibly on point and those blubbing basslines and never heard before sounds andrhythms...outstanding! That's what I wanted to do.But I always torn between Techno (Detroit, Minimal, Acid) and House music (Acid house, Chicage, New York,Vocal, Minimal).I put together a small setup with Atari computer, Steinberg Cubase, Roland D20, Juno 106, TR-707, AkaiS700 and various outboard, mixer and speakers. That's how it started with electronic music and ended in1999. I sold everything, did nothing for 10 years. This was for family reasons.In 2009 it started again, but only in the box. Propellerhead Reason, Ableton Live and so on.That was fun, but I was always dissatisfied with the results.I can't do arrangements, that's horror for me. I love to jam and with software and controllers I didn't enjoythat.So I bought hardware again. Elektrons, Volcas, Roland Airas and some more. But I wasn't happy with all thegreat gear.I knew that modular synths and eurorack existed, but never believed that this would be something for me.And then it happened: I watched a YT video in which someone was doing techno music with his euroracksystem. I was blown away and immediately excited, but I didnt know how it worked.I had no idea about the individual modules and their functions, because I didn't know how a synth is built,not to mention synthesis.So I first bought a case. This stood unused in the room for one year, because I didn't know with whichmodules I shoul start.After watching a lot of YT vids and tutorials, I've started with the construction of the system. And of course i have invited another guest artist to the show! Please give a warm welcome to the Global Grooves Family for Hans Bouffmyhre!
I am a big fan of his music since many years. Here a short info from his bio:
"The name Hans Bouffmyhre was born in the summer of 2006, when a group of friends decided to start their own techno night in a dark basement in Paisley, Scotland. The first night was a massive success and the rest is now history. 15 years later Hans Bouffmyhre is an established artist within the worldwide techno scene. Having released music on some of the worlds most esteemed techno labels like Soma Records, Electric Deluxe, Perc Trax, Suara and others. Meanwhile his own label Sleaze Records goes from strength to strength, firmly stapled as one of the best techno labels in the UK.
Hans has been lucky enough to play regular DJ sets at some of the biggest and most well known clubs in the world, from the infamous Berghain in Berlin, to Melkweg in Amsterdam, Rex Club in Paris, Sub Club in Glasgow amongst many others. He is known for bringing a raw, hypnotic and energetic style. Still only in his mid 30’s and with already so much experience as a DJ, producer, label manager and party organiser, the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre."
