Pesticides can have a huge impact on the health of your baby!
During the development of a baby inside the uterus, numerous nutrients and minerals are needed to ensure all the baby’s structures grow as they should. Specifically, vitamins like folic acid and chemicals such as manganese are needed for the neurological development of your baby.
However, pesticides such as RoundUp kill the bacteria involved in the production of folic acid inside your body. Plus, the glyphosate that’s part of RoundUp also stops plants from absorbing beneficial minerals containing manganese, which is also important for neurological development.
In this episode, Dr. Gundi Rhoades talks with her nurses Maddy and Min about the terrible harm pesticides like RoundUp have in fetal development. Gundi also touches on the relationship between chemical agriculture and autism. This condition is rising at an alarming level and it is mostly due to changes in gut microbiome caused by antibiotics and pesticides.
Plus, they also expand on the rising cases of infertility and how difficult it has become for young women to conceive, something that was not seen as frequently in past decades. Maddie and Min also share the changes they’ve seen in their health and their lives after following Gundi’s advice and going fully organic.

Gut bacteria is key to your happiness!
It sounds like a weird concept, doesn’t it? However, studies have shown that gut bacteria have an extremely important role in your happiness and your physical and mental health.
In this episode, Gundi reunites with nature researcher Ria Jago to talk about the important role of the gut microbiome and how essential it is to our lives. They discuss the role of bacteria in the production of serotonin, the happiness hormone. Plus, they also reveal the importance of gut bacteria in gut health as well as the type of food you should eat to ensure there is balance in your gut!
Gut bacteria can also be damaged, and the widespread use of antibiotics such as Roundup has become a serious problem. Roundup stays in the food you eat and it kills the bacteria in your gut. This also happens when you use certain antibiotics to treat infections. When bacteria starts to regenerate, the harmful ones tend to appear first, causing additional diseases.
Plus, when you don’t have the right amount of gut bacteria producing serotonin and aiding in the health of your gut, diseases such as depression and irritable bowel syndrome can appear. And the effects don’t stop there! Deficient gut bacteria has also been linked to other mood disorders as well as insomnia.
But not everything is lost! Gundi goes over some of the things you can do to ensure your gut bacteria is protected and to preserve your health.

Much has been said about gluten and the adverse effects of consuming wheat, yet, it continues to be one of the main staples around the world. But do you know why gluten is so bad for you? Ria and Gundi also explain the mechanism through which gluten causes harm in the body and why whole wheat doesn’t have this same effect.
Ria is full of questions and Gundi is full of knowledge! They discuss how Roundup, a herbicide and antibiotic, has a similar effect to the one caused by gluten. Alarmingly, this herbicide is in most of your food, and it has long-term effects that are not common knowledge.
Gundi also goes over other benefits of changing refined wheat with whole wheat and describes some of the processes you can perform to make your favorite recipes. From birthday cakes to pancakes, you don’t have to eliminate these delicious dishes! It’s all about making adjustments and going organic.

She has deep-dived into what is happening in the agriculture industry and how food is being grown as well as the health effects associated with chemical farming. Plus, she has seen the power of organic food and how people can take ownership of their health by making the choice of going organic.
