  • The guests for this episode are the Toronto-based rock duo Dearly Beloved - Rob Higgins (vocalist/bassist) and Niva Chow (vocalist/percussionist/Theremin abuser), who recently released their new album Times Square Discount via Future Shock Records. On Times Square Discount, the two tackle their own shared experiences dealing with the immigrant struggles dating back to working in their first-generation immigrant grandparents’ small businesses as teenagers. The album really maximizing their sound with high energy doses of snark. No sad droning here as they definitely make their voices heard on each song.

Rob and Niva share their process in making Times Square Discount and what their hope to get out of it, along with detailing how they met and their connection by the way of shared passions to do more with their art. As anyone knows, I love Toronto, so we get into their favorite parts of Toronto along with their recent European tour.
