Currently running Off-Broadway, Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty-Sided Tavern is one of my favorite shows to open this year. Going into it, I knew nothing about the game, yet the show opens newcomers and veterans with open arms to play in this zany and interactive theatrical experience. I sat down with DAGL, the show's co-creator, story writer, producer, and original Dungeon Master to chat about bringing an iconic game to the stage, audience hijinks, and creating community through the show.

I fell in love with Poster House when I first visited in spring 2021 for my "Jane Visits Every Museum in New York City" series. Through its incredible exhibitions, programming, and accessibility efforts, it exemplifies what a great art institution can be. For this episode, I had a conversation with Angelina Lippert, the Chief Curator and Director of Content at Poster House. We discuss breaking into the curatorial world, what goes into creating a museum, and her new exhibition "The Anatomy of a Movie Poster: The Work of Dawn Baillie

Join us on Radio GAG for The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round. A bus load of gun violence prevention activists were in NYC for Guacathon 2024. On the bus, we met up with Scout Cardillo from March for Our Lives and Bulletproof Pride. We discuss how this national GVP, youth lead organization is working to address the intersectional issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community at an upcoming advocacy day in DC.
Beep! Beep! Out on the street... New York City Council Member and one of GAG's "Fierce Queenz", Eric Bottcher introduced legislation requiring gun stores to display graphic imagery, in addition to warning signage, that conveys the health dangers of firearm ownership. GAG President, Jay W. Walker delivers inspiring words at the event. For show and tell, Change the Ref and March for Our Lives have collaborated on theshotline.org...a new way to contact your representative about gun violence. AI technology has re-created the voices of those shot and killed by guns so they can call our representatives in hopes of changing gun laws. Our in Memoriam is for the Apalachee High School shooting victims in Winder, GA.

The award season is off and running and the 76th Emmy Awards just passed and as usual the show is filled with cheers, some jeers, a few WTF moments, and healthy does of problematic sh*t. In the case of the Emmy's, a major problem seems to be in the television comedy categories. For context, go back and listen to our episode Examining Th eGap. We are going to do a deep dive into the "dramedy problem" at the Emmy Awards and how it affects the nominees. We are going to review the who and tell who we think should have won...in the words of the divine Issa Rae "I'm rooting for everybody Black!"

We Need To Talk About Tyler
Tyler Perry is a movie & tv, global icon & black billionaire.. For over 20 years, Tyler has been writing, directing, producing his own work, specifically to the Black Community with varying degrees of success. However, the success has come at a price: many of his products are often harshly, yet understandably criticized, and many of his narratives have sparked debate in the community he says he loves so much. Hosts, Alexus Bertrand and Roger Turner believe that we critique the things we love. So, we love Tyler Perry but there is trouble in paradise.
