DJ Sanza, also known as Sandile Mabaso, originates from Pretoria, Mamelodi, and possesses a profound love for house music. His journey commenced at the age of 15 when he commenced collecting Soulful House, Deep House, and Broken Beat Vinyls, eventually transitioning into the realm of DJing. By the age of 16, he was already demonstrating his skills at local venues in Mamelodi and Soweto.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of the late Slim Jan, Paouls, and Simon, DJ Sanza garnered recognition in Pretoria and Gauteng for his exceptional mixing abilities and adept track selections during live sets. He inked a deal with Deep n' Soul Touch, a prominent local DJ collective in Mamelodi under the management of Tebogo "Katz" Katz, and embarked on tours across the country alongside Thabang "TekniQ" Ntuli. The release of his debut single "HEY" resonated positively within the industry, earning acclaim from luminaries such as Osunlade and Black Motion. His contributions to TekniQ's album "Abstract Mood" were notable, leading to the establishment of Abstract Mood Music alongside TekniQ subsequent to his departure from Deep n' Soul Touch.
Having graced stages alongside esteemed DJs like Vinny Da Vinci, Ralf Gum, Christos, and QB Smith, DJ Sanza has solidified his reputation as one of South Africa's premier DJs and promising producers.
