HAPPY NEW YEAR!
After a series of technical issues, I decided that regardless of if an episode has the perfect editing or catchy song, there's information and there are stories that need to be shared and talked about. So coming through with the iPhone mic, we are back and as grass roots as ever, and I'm cool with that.
In this episode I share a tough encounter with an instructor, and how they unfortunately received and reacted to feedback about a class. With this I share thoughts that have proceeded encounters like this and ask questions to the listener and invite reflection on how we react to tough news and sometimes painful feedback.
My hope is always to encourage communication skills, self reflection and extend an invitation to try to remember humanity when we speak to a boss, or upset class member etc.

Inspired but the amazing "Awesome with Alison" podcast, I felt a strong pull to share moments in my career that formed me as an instructor and human, when I felt like a loser, or failure.
Dedicating this episode to my wonderful friends who have held me, pushed me, supported me and walked this journey with me. I wouldn't be here without you.
