In this episode I explore how to move towards personal growth by looking at the areas of life where you may be attaching yourself to who you WERE, instead of choosing who you ARE.
I’m sharing a personal story about my own experience letting go of something old and welcoming in something new.
And, offering some questions to ask yourself to do the same, with patience and grace, to move you closer to feeling more like - you.

When it comes to simple, foundational style, accessorizing with jewelry can easily become an afterthought. In fact, I would say that jewelry is an underdeveloped part of my style. Though I love to wear it, I often just forget to put it on. Can you relate?
Fortunately my guest today, Kat McCoy, is here to help. Kat is the owner of Best Kept Jewelry Concierge where she works with clients to source or design the perfect personalized piece of jewelry.
In this episode Kat shares how to choose jewelry that aligns with your personal style, how to shop for jewelry - or design your own, jewelry styling tips from an industry pro, and her top picks for foundational jewelry pieces for jewelry minimalists like me.
We also discuss ethics in the diamond industry and how you can be sure that, if you’re buying diamonds, they’ve been honestly and ethically sourced.

My guest today is Valerie Metz. Valerie is a photographer, podcaster, mama of two - and proud Latina - based in Costa Mesa, California.
Born in California to a Brazilian mother raised in Peru and a Mexican father, Valerie spent her early youth in a mostly white community, influencing the way she approached friendships, fashion and even her own name. That is, until becoming a mom changed everything for her.
In this episode Valerie talks about how she learned to embrace her true self and her Latina roots, and how this influenced her style - looking to Chicano culture, vintage trends from Latin America and old photos of her mom for inspiration - to get to where she is today: wearing clothes that make her feel like herself, regardless of what everyone else is wearing.
We also discuss times of transition, thrifting, the psychology of color and Valerie’s creative project Moms on Film, celebrating raw motherhood and mothers of color.
Plus, Valerie shares her advice for fearlessly embracing your own culture, even when you’re afraid of not fitting in or being judged by doing so.

Did you know that you can be stylish without the pressure, cost, and consumption of keeping up with the latest trends?
Exit trendy, and enter - current.
Current is when you give a small nod to the broader fashion trends without being beholden to them. When your wardrobe is current you feel comfortable, stylish and confident.
Join me as I explore this idea, and walk away feeling less bound by the ever-changing and highly demanding trend cycle.
Plus, I come to grips with a gnawing question: Is my style Coastal Grandmother?

Would you wear the same dress for 100 days straight? My guest today did just that, and learned so much about her style - and herself - in the process.
Before starting the Wool& 100 Day Dress challenge, Liesje Sandler felt limited in her clothing options as a plus size woman. Though she had always loved fashion, she felt that fashion didn’t love her back. Fast forward to 100 days later, Liesje went from a wardrobe she described as “sad” to finding joy and confidence in her clothes - and having fun getting dressed.
In this episode we talk all about Liesje’s journey and, ultimately, the transformative power of experimentation, being creative and getting uncomfortable. We explore how she became inspired by a diverse community challenging the traditional media ideals of what a body should look like. And we discuss choosing sustainable clothing over fast fashion, how having a few *right* pieces in your wardrobe can make up for having lots of *wrong* pieces and dressing with bright, bold statement colors.
Plus, hear Liesje’s top tip if you’re looking to try the 100 Day Dress Challenge for yourself.

In this episode, I sit down with my first guest ever, my husband and partner Christopher Sandler, to discuss just this - and hopefully share some perspective on how this process has really looked for me and for our family. It’s a fun, honest conversation about evolving as people and parents, and how we have supported each other’s growth over the last decade together to get to where we are today.
