This is the final installment in the Apartment 4D Saga, and I hope that you have enjoyed the ride. I urge you not to judge these characters too harshly. It could never be you, until it is you.

This story is told from Ranyi's perspective, and here we can see that Apartment 4D is for some, the birth place of eternal love, and for others, it is a place of constant heartbreak.

Dear You,
You might no longer be in my life but if you ever hear this, I want to say that I am sorry, for spending all that time trying to make you into something you weren't. I had this idea of what we were supposed to be and so I cast you in a role and tried to force-feed you the lines which only led to disappointment and hurt for me. I'm sorry if I wasn't fair to you.
For what it's worth, you were a great friend to me for a while and I was really sad to lose you, even though it was for the best. I'll always miss you, and I'll continue to root for you, just like I promised all those years ago.

Love isn't always what we think it's going to be, this storyteller is witness to the fact. Sometimes, the person we believe is our soulmate, the one we desperately hope would be the one ends up just being another one, and sometimes, even the one gets away.
What do you do then, when the love you held so close to you vanishes into a memory? What do you do when your body has moved on but your heart remains stuck in a place, a tiny windowless room in a rundown apartment with more roaches than Wi-fi signals, and the haunting echoes of their laugh? There are so many different kinds of obsessions that we as humans exhibit. Our obsession with designer brands and the celebrities that adorn them, foods and places that we cannot afford, and our obsession with emotionally unavailable people. This Storyteller is of the opinion that Love is also an obsession, perhaps… the maddest obsession.
The maddest obsession is a story of love, well, the darker parts of, and how quickly things can take a turn for the tragic.
