Put on your abstinence ring and head over to the local swimming hole because we're discussing Mitchell Lichtenstein's 2007 horror comedy Teeth!
Join us as we go all in on this seemingly forgotten relic of the aughts, praising its handling of some admittedly difficult subject matter while masterfully balancing the tone without sacrificing sincerity.
Plus: digging into Teeth's mishandled release, its 2024 off-Broadway musical adaptation and wondering why lead actress Jess Weixler never became the Parker Posey of her generation.
C/W: Sexual assault

Apply the darkest shade of red lipstick you own because we're discussing Tom Ford's sophomore feature Nocturnal Animals (2016)! Tagging in for the conversation is Trace's better half Ari Drew!
Join us as we discuss the revenge of it all in this somewhat polarizing film. From Amy Adams' unlikable protagonist who often stares off into space to Aaron Taylor-Johnson's poo-on-the-porch sequence, there's a lot to unpack here!
Plus: sassy elevator operators, Laura Linney's bouffant, one incredibly effective jump scare and a controversial opening sequence involving nude, fat dancers.

Tabitha! We're taking Carrie White to the prom with a look at Stephen King's first feature film adaptation: Brian De Palma's 1976 classic, Carrie.
Up for discussion: debate over Carrie as Monster, a satire of religion, our love of Miss Collins, Pino Donaggio's score, and why Trace implores everyone to watch Chris' death scene in the 2013 remake.

In anticipation of our Carrie (1976) episode, we chatted with Jawbreaker writer/director Darren Stein about how De Palma's film influenced his pitch black 1999 high school horror comedy.
Speaking of Jawbreaker, we've got the scoop on what that E! TV series would have looked like! Or maybe you wanna hear about Stein's plans for a film version of the Jawbreaker musical? Or a possible requel in the vein of Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2?! Listen for the tea!

Look for wooden magpies and beware of barbed wired because we're talking Jeremy Drummond's We Kill Them All (2025). C/W: brief attempted sexual assault
We're not sold on this indie queer thriller which pits girlfriends against a trio of rapey criminals at a deserted resort. The dialogue is particularly off-putting, some set pieces are ok but it's often quite repetitive and the messaging about queer identity & agency is...messy.
Proceed with caution!

Get ready to beg for our juice because we are FINALLY discussing Frank Henenlotter's Brain Damage (1988).
After years of requests, we're ready to tackle Aylmer, the film's gay and/or drug allegory, and why Barbara should have just fucked the brother.
Plus: incest, bathhouse towels, sub/dom, and who could direct a remake of this exploitation classic?

Rent a whole ass new apartment and purchase a 3 ft. telescope because we are spying on Gordon Willis' controversial queer thriller, Windows (1980) for its 45th anniversary. C/W: sexual assault and the cat does die.
Up for discussion: the creative team's pedigree, disabled women in jeopardy films, an unnecessary romance, Razzie nominations, comparisons to Carpenter's Someone's Watching Me! and Elizabeth Ashley's iconic queer villain performance.

Grab your belts and hop on the roof of that car because we're discussing our very first Quentin Tarantino film in 2007's pseudo-slasher/exploitation film Death Proof. Join us as we conclude the Grindhouse double feature that we started last year with Planet Terror.
From the debates about the film's feminist messaging to Tarantino's own disillusionment with the film, we have a lot to say! Plus: dialogue, dialogue and more dialogue, discussing the rest of the fake trailers, why Arlene/Butterfly (Vanessa Ferlito) is Joe's favorite character and one Hell of a final shot.

We're #manifesting a happy New Year's with our best influencer friend courtesy of Sophia Takal and Adam Gaines' "New Year, New You" (2018).
The all-female entry of Into The Dark is all about toxic (female) friendships and anticipates a ton of 2022 "Influencer" horror titles, particularly Sissy.
Plus: praise for Carly Chaikin, questions about Suki Waterhouse's career, debates about social media advertising and complaints of "wokeness", and sly commentary (maybe?) by Takal and Gaines about the importance of Black, queer and fat people in white women's stories.
