She focuses specifically on the initiation into motherhood, discussing the changes that occur in pregnancy and how these help women integrate important lessons that will serve them in motherhood.

Although our culture tends to demonize the physical changes that come with pregnancy and puts pressure on women to prove that they haven’t changed, Jessica explains that there really is no “going back” nor is that desirable because of the immense growth that occurs in motherhood.

What you’ll learn in the episode:

The basics of an initiation and what happens in the psyche during an initiatory process

Why the physical and non-physical changes experienced during pregnancy are opportunities for personal growth

How motherhood softens us to the feminine and helps us strengthen qualities like creativity, acceptance, and intuition
