EP59 - The Butterfly Effect - How We Create What We Fear
In this thought-provoking episode, we explore the paradox of avoidance - the phenomenon of inadvertently creating the very thing we seek to avoid. We examine how our actions, no matter how small, can lead to unintended consequences, and how the fear of a negative outcome can actually bring that outcome to fruition. -
Okay, if you have been following the podcast for a while, you must have noticed that we've had a lot of breaks in between our episodes. we try our best to be consistent but over the past year, the breaks have increased :)
This is due to sheyaf and Kareem getting busy or tied with work and life. (its mainly sheyaf) :D but no matter the break we always try and get started again.
today's episode is all about starting again, well not the podcast but life in general. -

There are a lot of great ideas, projects, or artists that haven't seen the light of day.
Procrastination is one of the reasons for this. procrastination doesn't only happen due to laziness, many procrastinate due to perfectionism. They wait for the time when they can dedicate or reach 100% . And mostly this never happens.
In this episode, we discuss the 80% rule. we talk about why it's better to focus on getting 80% good at something, and then eventually getting to 100%, more like its better to be 80% good at something than 0% at nothing.
This concept is inspired by Dan Sullivan's 80% approach.
You can also check EP25 as well where we talk about the myth of perfection. -
Many of us plan and set goals for our lives, once these goals are set we work hard day and night to achieve them. While we are working towards these goals, what happens if something life-changing or catastrophic happens?
We can either use this event as an excuse, which is very much justified or we can use this to create a new narrative. Today's episode is about creating these narratives and we talk about some examples of people who have done it.

Listen to sheyaf and Kareem discuss how they are learning about this with some personal experiences. -
