Major James Corrigan (born 1924) joined the Durham Light Infantry at the age of 17. He took part in the Sicily landing and the D-Day landing. He was mentioned in dispatches and was awarded the Legion d’Honneur and the Croix de Guerre. Here he recounts some of his memories to Paul Sloane. He died on November 10 2021 aged 97.
