  • This week I'm sharing one of our most downloaded Solo Episodes. I hope you enjoy! 

    Next week we are back to regular programming!

    Have you ever wondered if the stress you were experiencing was just a little too much? 

    I know I had this pivotal moment in my life when I was in my late 30’s. I was newly divorced, raising 3 kids by myself, I was isolated from my family, and I was working a high stress sales job that I hated. 

    Also, leading up to my divorce, my partner was absent, not really participating and sometimes away for 3 weeks out of a month. The only participation was a paycheck. 

    So, the stress was there for a while and got significantly worse after the divorce just because it’s impossible to raise 3 kids by yourself. Now I had some really good friends that were very helpful, but it wasn’t enough.

    There was a 6 year difference between my oldest and my younger two because of two miscarriages I experienced in between that were devastating but the age difference was tough.

    My oldest played almost every sport and so I spent a lot of time in the car and on the field watching and waiting. I remember packing a six pack of bottles, snacks, and a crazy amount of stuff just to keep busy. I remember the little ones falling asleep on the bleachers. 

    I did all of this while selling real estate. I hated the job, but what was great about it is it allowed me to be with my kids. They did not have to go to daycare. I did have a few amazing sitters. But for the most part, I was around and I’m so grateful I was able to do this. 

    So, I was under an enormous amount of stress. 

    My thought that always came up in my head though was, I’m young, I’m very fit, I eat pretty good, all true. But that's all that was true and you think it would be enough, but it wasn’t. 

    I did have signs I ignored though and I want to share some of them with you because they were subtle and I was healthy, but I did not take care of my stress levels, at all.

  • This week I'll be sharing another one of the favorites solo episodes of the Soul Aligned Self Care Community, this is a good one, I hope you enjoy!

    Most of us have this negative reaction when we hear about failure. 

    It’s viewed as this bad thing that we need to avoid. The dreaded F Word!

    What a lot of us don’t realize or ignore is that failure is just a part of the process as your work your way to success. 

    Most successful people will tell you. In order to succeed or reach a goal or dream you will have to fail forward. 

    The more we can define this F-word as FEEDBACK instead of FAILURE the faster we can reach our goals. 

    Think about it. We set a goal, or we have a dream. We then take the next step and that is we decide how we will move forward to reach this goal. (The first step) 

    We then take the step. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. Most of the time it's a little of both. 

    What happens next is the most important part of being successful. 

    Do you say to yourself, well that didn’t work, guess I’m not cut out for this and then go back to whatever you’ve been doing before this goal. 

    OR

    You say to yourself, well that didn’t work out as planned. What do I need to do differently or better? How do I need to shift my actions to move forward?  

     

    You look at the FEEDBACK that you got from your action and then you keep moving forward with this new valuable knowledge. 

    This is why it’s so important to redefine failure as just a part of the process to success and accept it as the feedback that you actually need. 

    Move through any fear we might have and keep your eye on the goal or dream and just keep failing as many times as possible. 

    I mean, you do want to use the feedback you get and move forward accordingly. You don’t want to blow off the feedback. 

    Another thing you might need to do is ask for help. You might not know what the feedback means, or you might not know how to use it. You might need guidance from someone who has experience with what you're trying to do. 

    Most likely this will happen. Most of us, including the most successful people in the world, need help at some point. 

    Also, I would say that some of the most successful people won’t wait until they need help. They already have guidance, a coach, or someone with experience in the field they are working in so that they can move forward as fast as possible and handle all the feedback quickly.

    So, as we move forward in this year. As you set new goals and have some big audacious dreams.

    I want you to make the decision to fail as much as possible and treat the feedback you receive as the valuable key to all your success and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

  • Hello Soul Aligned Self Care Community!

    Back when I first started my healing journey my main focus was on my nutrition and health and that's why I started out as a holistic health coach and culinary nutrition educator. 

    I quickly learned that you need to go inside to heal and was told over and over again about how I needed to work on my mindset. Mindset was the key and so my focus shifted and now today I use this when coaching my clients. 

    Today I have the honor of talking with fellow Mindset and transformational Coach, Shirley Buck. 

    Shirley is a dedicated mindset transformation coach, specializing in trauma and abuse recovery, drawing from her own remarkable journey of overcoming years of severe abuse and trauma. 

    In addition to her coaching expertise, she is also an energy healer, helping individuals find healing and empowerment.

    Her life's mission is to inspire and guide others on their path to recovery, resilience, and personal transformation.

    Her 90-day transformation course is amazing and helped many individuals learn how to transform their mindset to create the life they desire.
