Spiritual practice, like everything else in life, is evolving. What does this mean? By ‘Spiritual Practice’ I mean any activity that expands your sense of identity, for example meditation, contemplative philosophy, prayer, yoga, martial arts, psychedelics, transpersonal psychotherapy, fasting, visualisation, lucid dreaming, conscious parenting, forgiveness and much more. By ‘Evolving’ I mean that everything develops and adapts over time. Most of the spiritual traditions that have spawned these transformational practices emerged hundreds and often thousands of years ago in the pre-modern era. Modernity (rationality and science) and post-modernity (cultural diversity and the information age) are hugely influential historical periods that have happened since then, and I believe that contemporary spiritual practice needs to integrate the insights of these two worldviews as well as the premodern in order to keep being relevant and adaptive in a changing world.

Have you longed to learn the Bible verse-by-verse in a practical way that can be applied to your life? Do you desire to have someone willing to walk with you as you have questions and need counsel in different areas of your life? Are you ready to go deeper in your walk in the Word? Do you desire to be accountable in you can continue to mature in Christ?
I am blessed to have you here with me!
This podcast will equip you with God’s word so you can start your healing journey. With my guidance, you will grow deeper into God’s Word for transformation. As a Bible Teacher and Grief Recovery Specialist; you will obtain tools to heal your broken heart from loss and grief and learn to start living past the pain again.
As a wife of almost 26 years, a stay-at-home mom who also ran a successful business I was always seeking that Christian community to connect with. My childhood was full of trauma and loss, which left me full of fear, anxiety, and depression, had me feeling helpless, not experiencing absolute freedom in my adult life. I looked to the church for help but seemed to come up empty. After many years of struggling, learning God’s Word for myself and uncovering the pain from my childhood made me finally free to be who God created me to be. I desire to now help other women walk in the same freedom God has so graciously given to me. Take my hand and let’s do this together.

"I am unlocking the doors to my inner peace by having the courage to ask why.
Every question is a step closer to understanding and harmony within myself." ~Jerry
I've recently crossed the milestone of 70, and the reflection that comes with it has made me realize that I haven't always been the best steward of my time, especially in the past decade and a half. In my pursuit of proving how bright, inventive and resourceful I could be, I often found myself running too fast, burning the candle from both ends, and in the process, losing sight of the joy of the moment or any joy for that matter.
I've come to understand a very fundamental truth – it's not about hoarding time, stretching it thin, or being miserly with it. It's about living and fully appreciating every moment for what it is. Living each moment free from yesterday’s pain and regret, and devoid of tomorrow’s worries and anticipation has become my passion and mission.
Mindfulness has been instrumental in this journey. It's allowed me to remain present in the moment, to find tranquility in the chaos, and most importantly, to appreciate 'now'. And from a practical viewpoint I also find I get more done, its better work and I more at peace with the results and myself.
Now, while I'm no poet, I find a peculiar peace in paring down my thoughts to their bare essence and expressing them rather raw and unadorned. It helps me shed the unnecessary, getting to the core of what I truly am thinking. Sometimes these bits make sense to others and sometimes not. You may see bits in a smattering of my poetry during our visits.
Through this podcast, I, and I hope you, will embark on a journey of self-improvement and understanding, aiming to savor each day, and find peace each hour, and hopefully, each singular moment in its purest form. We will delve into the world of mindfulness, explore its nuances, and I will invite you to join me in meditation during each episode.
So, I invite you, dear listener, to join me on this journey. Expect reflections, shared experiences, moments of silence, laughter, tears, and hopefully, the occasional bit wisdom. Here's to the joy of now. No yesterdays, no tomorrows, only now. Only now.

Hello, I am a marital therapist, communications trainer and author. I have thirty-five years helping couples and individuals make better relationships. I have written twenty-plus self-help books which include the international best-sellers ‘I love you but I’m not in love with you’ and ‘How can I ever trust you again?’ My books have been translated into twenty languages. I trained with RELATE the UK’s largest counselling charity.
Perhaps it has been turning sixty but I have become interested in spiritual as well as psychological questions. Who am I? What are my values – as opposed to my parents, my teachers and the wider society? What makes my life meaningful? What do I believe about life, the universe and everything? Although my clients might come to me because of destructive arguments, falling out of love and infidelity, they are also interested in having more meaningful relationships and a more meaningful life.
So what is the meaningful life? Why do we so easily lose our way and get lost in depression, anxiety, doubt, addictions and obsessions: the swamplands of the soul? One thing I know for sure is that there is not one answer. Each of us has to find out for ourselves what makes our life meaningful. But we can learn from each other, share our experiences of how to navigate the journey, how to endure and learn from the swamp, and finally how to find solid ground.
I have decided to use my original training in radio and journalism to interview witnesses for what makes life meaningful. Each week, I invite someone who is a therapist, academic, self-help coach or who has an enlightening personal story to share their knowledge or experiences. I hope our discussions will help you discover what makes your life meaningful and find more purpose and contentment. -
