    Welcome to this 15-minute yoga nidra meditation to help you create a regulated nervous system by training your brain to seek out moments of joy. You may have heard this as learning how to find glimmers in your day.

    Glimmers are small moments of joy or peace that can help regulate the nervous system and promote feelings of safety and calm. They can be anything from a place you've been to, a place you've only seen in pictures, or a place you've only imagined.

    Social worker Deb Dana first introduced the concept of glimmers in her 2018 book The Polyvagal Theory in Therapy. Glimmers are the opposite of triggers, which are people, places, things, or situations that can create a sense of danger and activate the nervous system's fight, flight, or freeze response. Noticing and appreciating glimmers can help build emotional resilience and develop a less reactive nervous system. Over time, the brain can be trained to seek out moments of joy in every situation, leading to a more peaceful way of being.

    This meditation makes it easier for you to train your brain to seek these moments out, because of the deep state of peace and rest you enter into during the yoga nidra practice. During yoga nidra your brain slowly enters slower brainwave states giving you access to the parts of your brain that help you make lasting change.

    Welcome to this 3 Minute Yoga Nidra practice. This quick practice is guided without background sound.

    This guided yogic sleep meditation has been created with the intention of bringing you a NSDR yoga nidra practice that you can do anywhere, any time of the day.

    As long as you can take a moment to slow down, this practice is designed to be done in a traditional or nontraditional way. Such as when you have a few spare moments in your car (parked of course) at lunchtime or between appointments. Or maybe you just need a second to reset your day but are very short on time.

    Three minutes is enough to help you calm down, activate your parasympathetic nervous system and reboot your mind. Leaving the practice refreshed, and rejuvenated.

    Yoga nidra is an effortless guided meditation that takes you quickly into a state of deep relaxation. You will find in these deep states of relaxation the mind is subtly aware and the body has moved into a deep healing state of sleep.

    Your brain waves slow down as you enter the states of rest and deep healing from dropping into your nervous system, allowing you to replenish and restore your mind, body, and soul. This practice can even rewire unhelpful habits and beliefs if desired.
