  • In this episode, we continue discussing behavior change and how it should be approached differently when living by faith. We begin to direct our attention to the concept of habit development. We start with a reminder and explanation of God’s warning that the Body of Christ, is exercising naked. Then, we connect the dots to understand how attempting to change our behavior through our strength is stripping us of who we are clothed in Christ. As we learn more about behaviors and habits, we will discover that it is only our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who can change our behaviors, enabling us to become who we were created to be.

  • In this episode we continue our discussion on what it means to focus on our Savior instead of our behaviors. We follow up our last episode by looking more into the significance of our desires. Scripture states that our desires come from our hearts, but what exactly does that mean? To understand this, we explore what God says to be true about our hearts and how that truth influences our behavior. We also take time to understand who it is we are becoming and what this has to do with our desires. Join us in our discussion that sheds light on the truth, that when our eyes are focused on our Savior, He will change our behaviors.

  • In past episodes we have discussed what it means to be fit, now it's time to discuss what it means to be unfit. When we feel unfit, we can experience feelings of insecurity and unworthiness. This often creates a desire to avoid being unfit, which results in a drive to become fit. Is this the way we were created to function? This episode looks through the lens of faith, to see how a change in perspective can restore feelings of security and worthiness. We discuss the importance of a renewed understanding of this term and what it means that in Christ we are fit to be unfit.

  • It is imperative that, as God’s people, we seek the Lord to transform our minds so they become set on Him for our sufficiency. In this episode, we explore that concept and continue discussing work and how it looks different when pursued by faith. The Lord has revealed that as we begin to integrate living by faith, we will experience a strong urge to return to our strength. But if instead you do not waiver in your journey, you will be overcome with peace and stability that can only be found in the Lord. Join us as we discuss this and more.

  • My good friend Amber Stephens joins the show today to discuss an array of different topics. We talk about being ok with who God created you to be, to learning that our expectations are most often not the Lord’s expectations. To explore these topics we relive a weekend shared together in the presence of God, where He used our friendship to bring about healing and restoration for both of us. Within each of our circumstances He allowed for vulnerability and grace that could only exist in a friendship built around the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • In this episode we go deeper into exploring our mission as God's people. We believe through a proper understanding of our mission we can better center our lives around Christ and the work of the kingdom. We end the episode with a call to action by asking the Body of Christ to join us in prayer that we may together be built up in Christ, by letting go of the strength we have in ourselves in order to become strong in the Lord (610Fit).

  • With an interesting turn of events, this episode becomes a lesson from the Lord in action. In our minds the I Am Fit Principles had been wrapped up, but the Lord had different plans. Therefore, one more principle was added, and it is from trying to trusting. Amanda and I talk about the real-world circumstances the Lord used to emphasize learning to trust in Him rather than trying to trust in ourselves. We explore further how our everyday experiences, when placed at the feet of Jesus become the tools He uses to teach us how to live with our trust placed in Him.

  • We begin this episode with a reminder that it is Christ who wills and works in us and because of that we can place our trust and hope in Him. With that in mind we continue through the I Am Fit Principles. This episode’s principle is of special importance because it places the emphasis on becoming ready for battle. We spend time talking through what it means to shift our minds from being a civilian to becoming a soldier. The process of renewing our minds will allow the Lord to transform us and prepare us for battle while also instilling hope in our hearts that the victory is the Lords. As we begin to grasp what it means to be a soldier for Christ, our everyday life will change, as well as the mission we live for. Join as we learn how to prepare to live as soldiers for Jesus Christ and stand in faith for the kingdom.

  • As we continue through our series discussing the I Am Fit Principles we begin to look at what it means to go from victim to victor. When these terms are defined through an earthly perspective they often lead to feelings of defeat and hopelessness. But when redefined through the Biblical perspective the terms become reversed and lead to hope. Join us as we explore the truth of who we are in Christ and learn how to walk in victory.

  • In this world we are on a constant journey to becoming fit. The good news is that as a believer in Jesus Christ, we can take our eyes off of that journey because Christ is fit for us. Instead, we are to keep our eyes on Christ and rely on His strength in order to become 610Fit, strong in the Lord. Today we look at our first I Am Fit Principle, Owner to Steward. We’ll spend time discussing the origins of the ownership mentality while also distinguishing between the roles of being an owner and a steward. In the process, we will redefine the role of stewardship so we can view it from a Biblical perspective. Join us as we desire to grow in Christ, learning to better define and walk out our role as stewards of God’s grace.
