"We spend our lives fearing, avoiding, and running from death, but in reality, death is a gift of promise, wonder, and delight that's just out of sight."
In this episode of the Kundalini Chronicles, I share a poem, Death: The Flower of Eternal Blooming. The poem focuses on the conundrum of death. Regardless of the circumstances around passing, whether it's a peaceful passing or a difficult passing, there is beauty. Death is a part of life. It's this flower of eternal blooming. It's all within us, so there's no reason to fear death.

"A lot of people think an awakening should be 100% bliss. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would love to be blissed out all the time, but that ain't happening. Or at least that ain't happening yet. Maybe when I go live in a cave somewhere."
The poem for this episode is all about the resilience of the heart. We all experience loneliness, sadness, hurt, and, yes, plenty of bliss. But the goal of awakening is not necessarily to be blissed out 100% of the time. Most important is tapping into your resilience, harnessing the ability to weather storms and move forward with love and grace. And that is my wish for you. Acknowledge the pain but embrace your resilient heart. It will serve you well!

In this episode of the Kundalini Chronicles, I share a poem that resonates with the secret to embracing my spiritual awakening - the ability to surrender completely. Surrendering is not doing something or finding something. It's surrendering to what already is and to what's already inside you. Surrendering is like cleansing. The awakening experience is bliss, pain, challenge, sadness, regret, and more. Surrendering to the universal one allows you to let go of the pain, enjoy the bliss, but most important - find a state of oneness that is neither too high nor too low.
Surrender to this episode, and enjoy!

In this episode of the Kundalini Chronicles, I share a poem that channels my spiritual awakening journey, from flicker to flame, which is more accurately described as an ongoing struggle of staying in the old self or fully committing to the awakened state. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey!

In this episode, Scott shares his latest poem, The Shadow Man. The backstory of the poem is about his encounter with a demon, which he calls the shadow man. The demon visited Scott in the middle of the night, a week before his father passed. He showed up for five nights in a row, and after Scott's father passed, he never saw the shadow man again. The poem chronicles how Scott made peace with the demon, allowing the demon to be set free.

In this episode, Scott delves into the concept of the waves of knowing, like being in the ocean and being part of the waves, feeling the rhythmic tug and flow of being at one, and then not being at one and wondering if you still can be at one, symbolizing our ongoing quest for knowing and the dance that happens–The dance of settling in and being at one with yourself and letting everything flow and go. And then the other part of the dance where you tend to get pulled out and go into doubt, fear, questioning, and other negative thoughts that often get in your way from being at one with yourself.

I Don't Know
by Scott Bryant-Comstock
I am luxuriating in not knowing
Who am I?
I do not know
How am I?
I do not know
What am I?
I do not know
I am!
Of that, I know

Tom is a teacher of Conscious Living. Conscious Living is an all-inclusive way of life that is is based on the Enlightenment Pathways of the East and the Human Potential teachings of the West. It includes the possibility of radical awakening along with the integration of body, emotions, mind, and spirit; living skillfully and effectively in this world; and being in loving, empowering relationships.
At the age of fifteen, Tom became a student of human psychology and a practitioner of the yogic pathways and enlightenment traditions. He has had the great fortune of training in-depth with several exceptional teachers in both the enlightenment traditions and Western psychology.
Tom has extensive training and experience in several different therapeutic modalities including hypnotherapy, transactional analysis, energy psychology, breathwork, and HeartMath®. He has been a guest on radio and TV shows. His writings have been published in newspapers, magazines, books, and his website blog. He has taught throughout the United States at ashrams, universities, hospices, spiritual centers, hospitals, and other places.
In 1982 Tom co-founded The Woodbury Yoga Center in Connecticut where he created and taught in-depth courses on Meditation, Kundalini, The Yoga of Death and Dying, The Supreme Doctrine, The Hara Training, and other subjects.
In 1990 he co-founded The Awakened Heart Center for Conscious Living in North Carolina where he continues to offer various courses and Intensives focusing on The Direct Path to Spiritual Awakening. And, in 2017 Tom began offering Satsang and Hamsa Meditation at The Yoga Garden in Pittsboro, North Carolina.

In this episode, Scott explores the concept of longing. We have these longing in the depths of our being for material objects, people, relationships, etc. But beyond those things, what we really long for is to be at peace with ourselves, to love ourselves, and have a sense of contentment that we are at one with ourselves.
