C-Lo's final update included Adam Schein's anger at optimism following the Knicks' loss to the Celtics, Jason Day's correction of a reporter's phrase, and the disappointment of Sam Rosen missing playoff games in his final season. Thibs could be on the hotseat if things don’t go well in the playoffs, with recently fired Nuggets head coach Michael Malone available. If they don’t get out of the first round or get swept in the second round Thibs could be gone. The Rangers will no doubt have a new head coach next season. NHL head coaches get fired all the time and get rehired again. It’s a retread coach league. Some people think Torts will be back. Why do we keep firing coaches we know are good? Shouldn’t we get rid of the players instead?
-
I mean, considering how much free content is out there all the time.

Justin Fields met the media and was asked about the Jets potentially drafting a quarterback. He said he doesn’t answer rhetorical questions, but he is willing to teach others. Jerry thinks someone should still be teaching Fields at this point. The Steelers still don’t have a quarterback and Aaron Rodgers did not appear with Pat McAfee at his live Pittsburgh show last night. We talked about our upcoming Kickoff to Summer show down the Jersey shore.
-
Chris Russo couldn’t believe Cody Bellinger ordered chicken wings from a hotel. Keith McPherson never heard the term, ‘scuttlebutt’. We imagined serial killer Rex Heuermann listening to Tony Paige while doing his thing. Zach Gelb had Ian Eagle on to talk about him and his son being up for the same Emmy.
-
A caller heading to the Masters details the price of tickets and how you have to pick up your secondary ticket. Jerry thinks he would shoot a 150 at Augusta.
-
C-Lo is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Yankees winning in Detroit, although Devin Williams made it interesting. Cody Bellinger has sworn off chicken wings for five years after his bout with food poisoning. Gio and Jerry both told stories of when they bought scalped tickets that ended up being fake.
-
Jerry thinks they can compete against Boston in the playoffs. Jerry expects a 6 or 7 games series between them. Gio thinks they are going to lose to Boston in the second round, even if it’s a 6 or 7 games series.

Hour 1
The Knicks lost to the Celtics due to poor "token" defense in crunch time, particularly defending the 3-point shot, though it wasn't a blowout. Jerry's update covered the Knicks loss (featuring Kristaps Porzingis), Luka Doncic's ejection for trash talk (claiming it was directed at a fan), the Nuggets firing their coach and GM, Pete Alonso's bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk ("the Juan Soto effect"), the Yankees getting shut out, and a 44-year-old trying out for the NY Dragons arena football team (where Peter Schwartz is GM and hired his son).
Hour 2
Boomer analyzed QB film, noting concerns about Shedeur Sanders' ‘patting balls’, while Darius Slayton wants him on the Giants, and experts predict he'll drop to the Saints. The Giants need a QB and DT if drafting by need. Jerry's update included the Knicks' loss to the Celtics (Porzingis scored 34), NBA news, the Nuggets' coach/GM firing, the Mets beating the Marlins (Lindor's HR, Alonso's bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk), and the Yankees' shutout loss. The show discussed modern equivalents of caveman-era dangers, Pat Shurmur on Sanders, and a dentist warning about deadly tooth infections. Boomer shared a story about losing weight from eating raw clams.
Hour 3
The Mets are on a six-game winning streak, with Pete Alonso hitting a bases-clearing double after Soto's intentional walk. The Knicks lost to the Celtics again (Porzingis scored 34), but there were encouraging signs. Jerry's update covered the Knicks loss. The show also discussed a Colts lineman's OCD struggles (with a religious aspect), the tragic roof collapse in the Dominican Republic that killed former Met/Yankee Octavio Dotel, Viktor Hovland talking about UFOs, and a preview of the Masters.
Hour 4
Liz Garbus, director of the Netflix documentary 'Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer', discussed the film and the case against Rex Heuermann. Jerry's final update included Pete Alonso on capitalizing after Soto's intentional walk, sports Emmy nominees for play-by-play, Porzingis' 34 points against the Knicks, the Nuggets firing their coach/GM, and Doncic's ejection (claiming he argued with a fan). The "Moment of the Day" asked about potentially fatal caveman-era scenarios. The show ended with Tom Brady's involvement in bringing back the Dire Wolf, prompting Boomer to joke about resurrecting Abe Lincoln. -
