Did you know there are hotels around the Disney resorts? I sure hope you listened to the last few episodes.
We moved on to the next level. It's time for Moderate resorts, or as Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels would consider themselves, Deluxe.
Strap in, everybody. We're offering some prime travel tips for the next few weeks. And as the song says, someday we'll talk about rides again. We swear.

In this, the final episode of the value resort saga, we explore the history or herstory of the 8 remaining value resorts in the Disneyland resort area 1/2 mile or more away from the resort.
We explore in more detail than you would care to know the Stovall inn family of brands and their history. Is there a coco's at the southwest corner of Katella and Disneyland drive? This is the kind of riveting history and detail we explore.
Come on, you listen to this show, you know what to expect by now.

There are a lot of value resorts. We had no intention of making this a 3 part series, but here we are. The first episode covered the 9 Disneyland good neighbor hotels within half mile from the transportation hub. This episode covers the 5 WDW value resorts, the history and detail therein.
Also, Jimmy just returned from a trip to Disneyland Paris and he drones on about that for a while, hence the title of this episode.
We suggest you open google maps and explore the value resorts there while Erik describes it all, it makes for an even more enjoyable listening experience.
Enjoy!

OK folks! this is the last thing we needed to cover before we officially determine which Hollywood themed land is Supreme and before they change to something else which is inevitable.
3 middle aged white men discuss these two shows made for children. What could go wrong?

Everyone is covering D23 from August of 2024. It's been done. We are above such low hanging fruit.
Who are we kidding? Low hanging fruit is the easiest to pick, that's where that phrase comes from. Being the show we are, we discuss the D23 expo and all the domestic parks announcements but we decide which resort won D23 and all the announcements.

OK people. We are almost complete with our comparison of the Hollywood themed lands. We just have to cover the Disney Jr live on stage without violating certain hosts "restraining orders" We'll get there..
In the meantime, here is an episode about the shops in each of these lands.
Jimmy and Erik argue with Dan as to which is the supreme shopping experience. Dan is a Disneyland homer, you'll never guess which wins!!

We are close to finishing up our comparison of the Supreme Hollywood themed lands at either Disney California Adventure or Disney Hollywood Studios (MGM). They are none of them great, but which is the worst? The best? You decide. No, wait, we decide. Enjoy! The episode, not the food, cause....gross!

We begin this episode as a sequel of sorts from a recent episode of The Hub Crawl Podcast. Jimmy and his sons Alex and Paxton discuss their recent trip to Disneyland and overcoming fears of new attractions.
We finish by covering the Frontierland shootin' arcades and other similar attractions in the parks past.
Because the Magic Kingdom version is about to become a DVC lounge, will it reign supreme? Or is it better as a arcade game?

What does VIP mean to you? It means Very Interesting Podcast as far as we are concerned. We had some incredible opportunities over the last few months. Dan, Erik, and Jimmy enjoyed the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour last week. Within the past few months, Dan and Erik have both taken the Walt's Main Street Story guided tour and Erik alone (with nine other people) spent a whole day with a VIP tour guide.
We delve into these experiences in our latest episode. We hope you enjoy our antics. We will revisit the Walt Disney World tours at a later date when we have had more time to explore!
Oh, and we got silhouettes cut on Main Street.

We're back! Again, for the first time, for the last time.
As The Supreme Resort Podcast evolves, we expand our discussion to the differences between Disneyland and Walt Disney World beyond the major rides, shows and attractions. In this episode, we also speculate on Disneyland Forward and share more about our personal lives than you never knew and never really cared about.
Thank you listener for sticking with us through our continued evolution. To paraphrase Walt Disney: The Supreme resort will never be complete. It will always be in a state of becoming. It will change and grow and evolve as long as there is imagination left in the hosts scattered brains.
Enjoy this departure from our norm. More Vs episodes to come

By no means the final words on the subject, we delve into the impressions of Producer David following his first-ever visit to Walt Disney World! You met David on our recent runDisney episodes and it's time to hear the dish on which resort is better.
According to David, that is.
We have some great discussion on the experience of visiting the Eastern parks for the first time in terms of prep, cost, and scale. Then we all argue over how wrong David is about which attractions are best. Come on, David. Who has a show about which thing is best? Us.

This episode, Erik continues his interview with Mike and David following their 10-Mile race! Having established the history of these events in the last episode, we move on to why in the world anybody would bother to run long distances in Disney Parks.
We had a great time commiserating over the events of the past few days. We discuss swag, routes, themes, and our own experiences in the recent race. It may be a bit before we heal up, but you better believe these three will reconvene in the future for more magical running days!

This episode, Erik interviews long-time runner Mike and brand-new runner David about runDisney events. They walk through the origins of these relatively recent events in order to determine why somebody would wake up at 3am to run through a Disney park.
We conclude this episode with some interviews before and immediately after the Hakuna Matata 10-Miler 2024. There's more to come folks! Start out with this episode to learn about runDisney events and return next episode to hear how Mike, David, and Erik did on their respective races.

The time has come! TSR All-Star Tage Bushman joins us once again to help us solve the riddle we largely made up for ourselves: which is the supreme single rider line in the Disney Resorts?
Which will win? A slot car racing attraction? A fancy video game? Some sort of Yeti-focused experience? Most importantly, how angry will Dan get at Tage's final decision?
Come along with us as we explore these extremely vital issues.

It's that time of year again! Because we can't say March Madness because we will get sued...wait....'
Anyway, it is the time of year where we create the brackets and decide the best thing in all the 4 parks or some variation of that theme.
This year, what is the best single rider line in the domestic parks? The intent of this episode was to break down all the single rider lines and get to a top 16 so we could debate for the final episode in March with a special guest host from DL Weekly Podcast, Tage. However, upon further investigation, Disney did it for us because while there are officially 9 at Disneyland, there are only 4 at Walt Disney word.
So, while we also discuss other items I.e. price of the parks, general hot takes etc, we land on the elite 8 and determine the brackets for this year's challenge.
I swear we are not becoming haters on the parks, Jimmy just posed the "is it too expensive" question and like the rest of the arguments of this show, it just depends.

Magic Happens returns to Disneyland and Festival of Fantasy never really left the Magic Kingdom. Join as we litigate the two parades you can experience on a daily basis at each Kingdom park.
Which will win? The seasoned veteran with classic music and characters seen by millions? The upstart with new music written by an internet star? You'll have to tune in for all the song excerpts, all the analysis, all the ambivalence. Also, I think Dan has a new obsession.

It's fancy restaurant versus also fancy restaurant! As we descend further toward deciding which Hollywood tribute land is the best, we have to talk about signature restaurants.
Which is better? The Hollywood Brown Derby has a neon sign and is a replica of a real place. The Carthay Circle Restaurant is a food place crammed into what should be a replica of a theater. It's going to be closer than you think.
Check in with your pals who labored extensively (one of them) over this decision. We apologize just a but, but the real show doesn't start until 30 minutes in. So skip there if you don't want to listen to mail.
I am not sure if anybody reads these because I know I rarely do.
Have a swell February, folks.
