For the first time in years the Glory are in the final 32 of the Australia Cup, a new coach, a new team with a whole new attitude, things are looking up. We banter with Dave about the Cup run, The Unite round, and the Tour of duty. We ask the big question "do we have a chant that rhymes with Zdrillic?".

    Steve Nelkovski, President Olympic Kingsway. It is definitely an Olympic year! Top of the league, and in the last 32 of the Australia Cup the Green Machine are looking good! Olympic have a home tie against Northern NSW outfit Edgeworth Eagles. With three WA based sides still in the competition will Olympic use the home ground advantage to march into the final 16?

    Gareth Morgan, Media Manager, Perth Glory. How are Glory faring in the local NPL competition, is the A League squad finalised, Glory’s first hit out with their new look squad v Armadale was a success. Glory play Brisbane next week in the upcoming Australia Cup round in Darwin.

    What’s happening in the Glory women’s space regards coach and player appointments?

    Neil Bennett, Sportswriter. Women’s NPL. Where is it currently sitting in the scheme of the Australian NPL landscape and is it growing in stature, is the community getting on board, is it a good space for fostering and producing state representatives and national level players and bringing the best out of a healthy growth in junior football post WWC? What are the indicators it is a healthy development league sitting at a good semi-professional level. Why is there such huge player movement each year between teams and out of WA?

    Erin Clout, PFA Head of Player Relations - Women. The role the PFA plays in management and growth of A-League W and the Matildas.

    Morgan Aquino. The Perth Glory goalkeeper has recently secured a contract at DC Power in the USA and tells us how that came about, why she chose the USA as the next step in her career, where the league sits in the football landscape, what learnings she takes with her from Perth Glory.

    Jae Pettitt. One of our very own Western Australian Matildas from the 1970’s. Jae tells us about some of the early tournaments and characters in those pioneering days as a Matilda. You may have seen this highly decorated West Australian on the TV promoting the Matildas pre WWC and again in the midst of the 1975 debate. The Olympics is nigh, and we talk up Australia’s chances against group opponents Germany (FIFA rank 4), Zambia and the USA (FIFA rank 5), the lead up to the Tournament and the player movements in and out of the squad that will impact on Australia’s chances. Should we be making our mark by now?     Stan Lazaridis, Perth Glory Football Director. Both of the club’s head coaches, Alen Stajcic and Alex Epakis, have left Glory and David Zdrilichas just been appointed. Stan shares with us where the club wants to go now with its coaching philosophy. How close is the club to making an appointment for the women? Tell us about the existing Glory system and if that will change to align with a new club philosophy and new coaches. Will player signings be held until new coaches are appointed? Who are the new faces of Glory, men and women, signed so far in this off season for the A-Leagues. Tell us about working with fan groups and the community and what impact that has on the club’s new direction.

    Blayne Treadgold, from FSAA and The Far Post’s, chats to us about football sustainability and our football profile in the community.
