After taking a week off I was joined by Pride of Wyoming on Sunday evening. We discuss what the first year of college has been for him.
Then we dive into the action at not just Darlington. We first talk about the racing at Dover a week ago. His thoughts on his favorite driver Kyle Busch who looked strong at Dover. Thoughts on the racing itself over the weekend. With Dover producing one of the better races at that track in recent years. Josh Berry was able to take advantage of a pit road mistake from Justin Allgaier to win the Xfinity race. Which helped Berry get the win, but he as well as his JRM teammates were clearly the class of the field.
Switch to Darlington and talk about what was a more tamed Truck race than a year prior. With John Hunter Nemecheck taking the win. Allgaier was able to get his redemption from Dover to win on Saturday. His teammate Noah Gragson was strong in the opening stages of the race. Talk about throwback schemes and which ones me and Wyoming liked. Also talk about the schemes in the Cup Series and should NASCAR allow teams to put the number in the middle of the car for them. Plus, did Theresa Earnhardt call Trackhouse to make a change to the #1 car? Which was running a throwback to celebrate the #1 car that was driven at Japan in 1998 for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated.Cup race certainly had some drama and then some. Joey Logano started on pole and would win Stage 1. Kyle Larson spun and then retired later on due to a mechanical issue. Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch were involved in a crash. Ross Chastain would win Stage 2. Then proceed to lose it off turn 2 and crash out. Martin Truex Jr checked up and caused a stack up on a restart. Which caused several cars to be involved. Then, well what did we think of the finish with Logano moving William Byron and then some to get the win. We also touch on William Byron getting a contract extension with Hendrick Motorsports as well.
Briefly go over IndyCar and the recent news that pertains to Alexander Rossi and Rinus Veekay at McLaren. Plus Wyoming’s thoughts of what Jimmie Johnson could do in the Indy 500.
Wyoming for the first time watched a F1 race. Which was in Miami for the first time. Thoughts on what he saw during the race. Thoughts of the sport as well being that he’s new to watching it. Then go to asking Wyoming some questions around Kyle Busch regarding his future. What NASCAR drivers would you like to see have a go in the Indy 500. What his thoughts about the Green Bay Packers when it came to the NFL draft.
We close with a general discussion of our thoughts of the NASCAR season so far. Who looks strong and who is struggling. Also talk about some silly season stuff for 2023. Then we start a new part of the show with answering a question from a previous guest. Then leaving one for the next guest for the podcast. -
We’re a day late from our usual publishing time. I was joined with EnteredCaesar late Sunday evening. As we discussed our opening 3 races in Tier 4 of the Breakout Racing League. Plus a finish that involved both of us at Dover a few years ago. Then we dive into the busy racing action that we saw over the weekend.
Thoughts on what we saw with Formula 1 at Imola. Thoughts on the first Sprint race of the season. The solid weekend that Red Bull had, while the pain at Mercedes gets even worse. Is Red Bull back into the championship fight against Ferrari.
Jump into the finish at Talladega and what we saw in the Cup race. The Joey Logano crash and who was more at fault in that. An interesting take on perhaps the struggles Denny Hamlin has faced this season. The Xfinity race was at Talledaga as well. Ty Gibbs causes a multi car wreck on the backstretch with his hand out the window. How did Noah not get black flagged for jumping the final start. Also touch on Bristol Dirt from the previous weekend. Thoughts on the finish between Briscoe and Reddick. Cody Ware going after Chase Elliott under caution.
IndyCar had a 2 day test for teams to prepare for the Indianapolis 500 in a months time. Thoughts on the spins from Castroneves, Rossi, and Power leaving pit road. Power being the more scary one as he almost got hit by Colton Herta in turn 1. Close with thoughts of who looked good as a whole after the two day test.
I ask Caesar some questions that pertained to him being a Chase Briscoe fan. Him joining iRacing recently and his thoughts on racing on that compared to anything else prior. Thoughts on the racing he saw in person at Kentucky Speedway and will it return. Also some controversial finishes that we’ve seen in the past.
Closing it with just a Rolodex of topics. What we hope to achieve in the remainder of BRL. Some tracks that we would like to go in person if we had the choice. Then close with it nearly being 19 years to the day of Mario Andretti’s dramatic crash at Indianapolis. Tune in and hope you enjoy it. -
I was joined over Easter Weekend by Jake Phillips who on the xbox side of things is DeerHunter. Who races in esports for the Breakout Racing League. He's been in that league racing in F1 since the beginning. He also has been racing in karting for over a decade in real life. Which was a really treat to hear Jake's story and road. Which we really get into that in the second part of the show.
The first part we discuss what we've seen in the first 3 races in Formula 1. What we might see at Imola next weekend. Including the first sprint race of the season. Surprises and disappointments so far in the season. Plus one bold prediction for the remainder of the Formula 1 season. One on the track, while another had one off the track.
NASCAR is racing at Bristol on the dirt on Easter Weekend. We discuss if NASCAR should've had Easter off and be with their families instead of racing. Thoughts on the news of Old Wilkensboro having races both on pavement and even on dirt for the remainder of this year. With having a full repave for next year. We talk about that and Jake also talks about his thoughts about NASCAR.
IndyCar is off this weekend and is off until the beginning of next month. Jake talks about what he likes about IndyCar and what the series has to offer. Who's the drivers he likes to follow. He mentioned of being a fan of the late Dan Wheldon. Of which brought back great memories and some painful ones as well. Plus what tracks that we might want to see in the future from in the USA and from outside of USA.
The rest of the show is me asking Jake about him in Breakout Racing League. Racing on F1 2021 in esports. Some of his best moments and seasons while being part of the league. As well as racing in the Rolex 24 for BRL in iRacing. He was one of the 4 drivers that shared the car. He also talks about what it was like to be the driver to take the car home.
We then dive into Jake's karting career. Where it all started for him and the ups and downs he's faced through the years. The help and support he's received from family to having sponsors and people help as well. What was really special was Jake being open to the challenges that a driver faces. Not just on the track and getting results. Away from the track and the financial part of racing. What things cost when it comes to cars, engines, and tires. Entry fee's and expenses one has to pay just to be in the race. Where he's at now for this year and what is his aim going forward.
Jake was very open and honest about what is all involved. More than I was anticipating and learned more of what is all required to go karting. I appreciate Jake for that. We close with briefly talking about the Indianapolis 500. A bucket list item for Jake. I tell him some things being that I've been to that race. Give a listen and I hope you all enjoy this episode. If you're someone looking to get yourself or someone into actual racing. You'll learn something from this. -
Well we’re back after a busy weekend of racing. Both in real life with Formula 1, NASCAR, and IndyCar. Also with esports with racing in the opening race of Season 8 of the Breakout Racing League. We talk about Formula 1 racing at Australia for the first time since 2019. How does the championship look 3 races in between Ferrari and Red Bull. The weekend to forget for Aston Martin and Alex Albon scoring a point for Williams. NASCAR was at Martinsville and the Cup race was lets just say wanting more. The Xfinity race though was very much a talking point with Ty Gibbs and Sam Mayer. Also a bit of the truck series as well. Answer some questions from the server about the new F1 regulations and one being a fan of Scott Dixon. HeyCatra asks me questions about me racing in F1 esports for the first time. Thoughts on that. Plus we close with asking what drivers would we want in NASCAR if we rebooted NASCAR Drivers 360. A show similar to what F1 Drive to Survive is that was on tv in the middle 00’s. Tune in, subscribe, and hope you like what you hear.

We’re joined this weekend with WOA Florida. Who I’ve raced with in what is currently The Reaper Crew on NASCAR HEAT 5. We talk about the handful of battles we’ve had over the last couple of years. Also the racing that we had in the league during the past week. NASCAR was at Richmond Raceway for the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. Talk about the battle in the closing laps in the Cup race. Which had Denny Hamlin get into the lead late by having fresher tires. Ty Gibbs wins another Xfinity Race. However at the expense of racing his teammate John Hunter Nemechek by making contact. Did Gibbs overstep the line by what he did. I ask Florida some questions about his experience being at Atlanta Motor Speedway a few weeks ago. What it was like to see the new reconfigured track in a suite. Him being a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Of which both won the championship in their leagues this past year. Also Florida being a Joey Logano fan and a Ben Rhodes fan and how that came about. Closing with talking about the start of the NASCAR season in all three series. Including asking the question of what would do if you were Hallie Deegan? Does she need to go to the Xfinity to learn more rather than stay in the Truck Series.
