This episode explores the concept of "pinkwashing" and "homonationalism." Pinkwashing refers to the way in which the LGBTQ+ rights movement is co-opted by governments and corporations to promote a positive image, while ignoring human rights abuses. Homonationalism refers to the way in which the LGBTQ+ rights movement is used to exclude and marginalize certain groups, particularly immigrants and people of color. The podcast delves into the ways these concepts play out in the US, Palestine, and my daily life.

Coming out seems to be a cornerstone of the queer experience, but I don't think we ever stop coming out. I come out every day when someone asks me my fiance's name assuming it's a girl or when I talk about personal experiences in public. Coming out isn't a one time event, but I tried to capture some of my experience coming out in this episode. I hope you like it.
