“Hollowed out in 1946 from a single log, the Famous One-Log House was created from a redwood tree over 2100 years old! This section alone weighed 42 tons. It took two men eight months of hard labor to hollow out a room 7 feet high and 32 feet long. Enough chips came out of it to build a five-bedroom house! This special log home includes living, dining, & bedroom areas just like any other trailer or motor home.Museum of Death
Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles. It was established in June 1995 by J. D. Healy and Catherine Shultz with the museum’s stated goal being “to make people happy to be alive”. “We collect everything and anything about death,” said perky Cathee Shultz, “everything from body bags, coffins, mortician instruments, to execution devices, to letters from murderers.” A caution from Catherine — “It’s extremely graphic, and we always recommend it to mature audiences”Bridge to Nowhere

How do you research for a place to spend your vacation?
In this day and age the avenues to find information on any one destination are virtually ENDLESS! TripAdvisor, Google, word of mouth, social media, travel agents and, most often forgotten, tourism magazines are all viable ways of making informed choices before you start calling for reservations.
Steve and Sandy, while hopped-up on espresso from their new favorite coffee café "Classic Rock Coffee Co", talk about all things they discovered in travel brochures and pamphlets that they have accumulated over the past three years. Steve and Sandy peruse brand new tour guide magazine's, from their "Bucket-List Destination" Oregon..

The Jewels of the Ozarks.
What's that?!
It's a part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways; home to some of the largest freshwater springs in the country.
Big Spring, Alley Spring, Blue Spring, Round Spring. Pulltite Spring, and Welch Spring are all ready for exploring.

Ozark National Scenic Riverways
When we reserved a Kayak, at the Pulltite Campgrounds, on the Current River, it was only the second time ever that we had been in a Kayak.
An unreasonable fear has played a major part in what has held us back. Here we are, in our late forties, trying to overcome a few awkward fears that have much hindered our enjoyment of life.
I'm reminded of the qoute from Franklin D. Roosevelt, "The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”.
But, on second thought, I think Mark Twain said it BEST...
"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear."
Come along with us, in this episode of Two Tenderfoot Tourists, as we tell you of the beautiful, the frightful and the hilarious.Find us on: Facebook , Instagram and Twitter

Once again we belly up to the third potluck. This time Steve and Sandy are serving up a Road Trip to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park owned by Mr. Bass Pro himself, Johnny Morris.
1. Dogwood Canyon Nature Park has picturesque limestone bluffs and waterfalls. Bridges formed of native stone with hand-crafted wrought iron of Amish construction.
Sadly, due to a misunderstanding, a 20 minute wait in line, Steve and Sandy disappointingly walked away.
Listen so you're not mislead too, about this amazing park.
2. In that same day we visited an delicious BBQ restaurant Branson West. Hear what we and Marco had to eat at the popular local restaurant.
3. To end the day we visited the shoreline of Table Rock Lake. While there we used our 360° camera for the first time.
4. We rediscover an AMAZINGLY versatile website called on "Only In Your State" . So many gems in this website, its a vacationes DREAM!. In fact there are 100s and 100s of gems within this site, as they go through each state and reveal little known secrets that each state holds. We will talk about a few random articles of different destinations in just Missouri.
5. Vacationing with sleep apnea. What we've learn from Steve's resent diagnosis of this sleeping disorder. For instance, what is Sleep Apnea? How to be better prepared to stay at a hotel with a CPAP machine.
6. Steve and Sandy talk about simple and sometimes over looked travel advise.
We'll cover potty breaks! The importance of grocery store plastic bags. The many uses of the simple snacks! Then finally, the scary warning of using a GPS!
This and a WHOLE LOT MORE is all in this episode of Two Tenderfoot Tourists podcast. Sit back, relax, laugh and learn from our mistakes.Find us on: Facebook , Instagram and Twitter

Welcome to Episode 50, The One About Colorado ... Oh Wow! part 2 of 3. If planning a trip to this amazing state and looking for things to do, we've got ya covered. This episode....Sandy's mom, Donna, showed us where she spent part of her childhood; in Golden Colorado. For her birthday gift, she got to see the home she hadn't seen in almost 60 yrs. Arapahoe Bar Gold Panning Park - Charlie, Sandy's step-father, has gold fever! We all went panning for gold in the Clear Creek stream, that passes through Golden Colorado. Did we find gold? Listen to find out? Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum - On top of Lookout Mountain rests Buffalo Bill. Why is Wyoming mad about that? Why is there money thrown on to Buffalo Bill's grave? Lookout Mountain - 7,379ft high and we saw Coors Brewery, BUT can Donna see her home from there? Stanley Hotel - A Ghost Tour that's listed on our Bucketlist can now be scratched OFF! Sitting in the middle of the Rocky Mountain National Forest Park is a little town called Estes Park Colorado. In that little town of Estes Park is the Stanley Hotel. Built buy Freelan Oscar Stanley, American architect and inventor in 1909. Its mysterious rich history and beauty has captivated and inspired many people. Just to name one, Stephen King. Ever heard of "The Shinning"?We decided to take a Spirit Tour of this infamous hotel. We ain't afraid of no ghosts! Manitou Cliff Dwellings - Hands on history! These are AMAZING pueblo cliff dwellings left from the Anasazi people over a 1000 years ago. Just a quick observation. Speaking from experience. The entryways of the the cliff dwellings were designed for much "smaller" people. Steve was challenged, by his daughter Olivia and niece Hannah, to go climbing where "hefty" people shouldn't. Did he get stuck? Listen to find out! That aside, this 40 room site (with tiny doorways)was originally located in McElmo Canyon, which is in the southwest corner of Colorado near Mesa Verde and Dolores. The process of relocating, brick by brick, of these cliff dwellings began in 1904 and was completed in 1907 and opened to the public. Its been attracting tourists for over a 100 years. It's really worth the visit!! Red Rock Amphitheatre - "Oh the chaos!!!!" Listen to find out what happened?
