A beautifully filmed, directed and acted epsiode, picking right up from the high standards set last week by the entire Shadowhunters team.
We discuss pain, self-harm, loss, grief, death... This episode of tDiE is an absolute laugh riot, basically. For a bit of levity, we do also debate Harry Shum Jr's height, the warlock case files and Alec's willingness to do anything to make things better with Clary, including building a pyramid of frogs. Obviously.
The discussed archery post by aimedtrue can be found here, Michelle's obsessive mapping of Magnus' flat can be found here.

In which Jace is suicidal, the Clave continue to be a despicable organisation, Izzy discovers Yin Fen, Magnus' back story is further explored, Alec & Clary are forced to work together - which is always delightful - and difficult choices have to be made by all of our core cast.
This episode is jam packed with character development, poignant revelations, beautiful cinematography & directing and stellar acting all around.

In which Jace is having a seriously bad day; Magnus is awesome; Clary finally shows up for a best friend; and we hope that Matt Daddario caught up on his rest this week.
In addition we discuss this whole parabatai thing, sleeping beauty analogies, and all the many ways in which we are done with Jocelyn. Last but by no means least... Maia's here everybody!!!
As discussed in the espisode, check out firebenderkatara's fascinating meta post about the parabatai oath and the Book of Ruth, HERE.
We thoroughly recommend it!

In which Alec continues spiraling, Jace is being pushed to murder more Downworlders, Clary runs into walls no matter where she turns and the only thing that cheers us up is Magnus and Simon going on a wacky adventure to India.

Kicking off with season 2 - in which everything is shiny and everything hurts. Alec's a mess, Magnus has turned the catty up to 11, Izzy's the best sister anyone could have, and Jace's ability to take a punch is put to the test. Ouch.

Website - Tumblr - Twitter Final Episode of Season 1! Where we discuss the Malec of it all, including fandom portmanteaus, outfit choices made by Magnus and Jace throughout the episode and, of course, The Kiss. We then wrap up the season with Valentine and Jace setting sail on the HMS Evil... Cheerful!
-
Website - Tumblr - Twitter Where we discuss the logic of portals, that the law is the law and the joy of Alternative Universes, before we are surprised by meeting Jace's dad. Who is also Clary's dad. Curve ball! Big kudos to MalecCrazedAuthor on tumblr for the fantastic timeline she has put together for S1 and S2 of the show. Check it out HERE

In Episode 5 Clary wavers on whether to vamp or not to vamp Simon. We meet Lydia, who it turns out we like in spite of her encouraging Alec to make dubious decisions for the both of them. We end the episode with the Downworld united, the Parabatai separated and us contemplating hitting the whiskey to drown our sorrows.

In episode 4, we get excited about Izzy's transformation and Magnus's potion brewing; Alec pulls a disappearing act; Clary is a little frustrating; we wax lyrical about Alberto Rosende, and discuss the implications of our first big kiss...

Episode 3, in which we debate if Brooklyn is the only borough with a High Warlock, before we get into the friction between Maryse and pretty much everyone; discuss Clary, Simon, and Alec making an odd trio, and the weird vampire stuff still going on with Simon...

It’s the penultimate episode with our Good Omens Episode 5 review of “The Doomsday Option”. We discuss it all in our spoiler-filled podcast.
Good Omens Episode 5 “The Doomsday Option” SynopsisCrowley (David Tennant) has lost his best friend but in the burning remnants of A.Z. Fell & Company has found the prophecies of Agnes Nutter (Witch). He doesn’t know what to do until Aziraphale, Ghost Angel (Michael Sheen) finds a way for his ghostly body to talk to the drunken demon. The angel tells Crowley (Demon) to get his arse to Tadfield Air Base while he finds a body to possess.
Luckily Madame Tracy (Miranda Richardson) is holding a seance to earn a little extra cash but gets a real visitation as Aziraphale merges with her and leads Tracy and Shadwell (Michael McKean) to the start of the end of the world.
Meanwhile at Hogsback woods, Adam Young (Sam Taylor Buck) is having trouble keeping control of his friends. He wants their support but when he gives them their free will back they turn and walk away including his beloved Dog. The Them finally convince Adam that what he’s planning is all wrong and he realises that he needs to work hard to stop the apocalypse.
As the Riders of the Apocalypse arrive at the US airfield base, with some directions from the local Neighbourhood Watch representative JP Tyler (Fleabag’s Bill Paterson), Tadfield starts to get busy, busy as everyone else converges on this teeny tiny village in rural Oxfordshire – the new centre of the universe and final place for the Armageddon standoff.

We chat about all of the signs of the apocalypse in Good Omens Episode 4 “Saturday Morning Funtime”. We discuss it all in our spoiler-filled podcast.
Good Omens Episode 4 “Saturday Morning Funtime”The world is getting weirder. Atlantis has risen from the deep, a Kraken has arrived to destroy all Japanese scientific vessels that definitely aren’t whaling ships, and aliens have landed to give a message of “cosmic harmony and suchlike” for everyone in the whole wide world.
In Soho, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) is not being listened to, even though he knows how to find the antichrist, stop the apocalypse and prevent the war between heaven and hell. Crowley (David Tennant) isn’t faring any better as Hastur and Ligur find out that he lost the real Antichrist, and come to take him back to hell.
As forces begin to forge around Adam Young (Sam Taylor Buck), Newton Pulsifer (Jack Whitehall) travels to Tadfield and meets Anathema Device (Adria Arjona) fulfilling another of Agnes Nutter’s Prophecies (under the bed). As Shadwell (Michael McKean) gets a premonition that Newton is in trouble he tries to get some money from Aziraphale and mistakenly sends the angel back to heaven.

It’s time to go in depth into the 6000 year relationship of Aziraphale and Crowley in Good Omens Episode 3. We discuss it all in our spoiler-filled podcast all about “Hard Times”.
Good Omens Episode 3 “Hard Times” SynopsisThroughout their 6000 year relationship Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) have discussed the ineffability of God’s plan. From the flooding of Mesopotamia, to the crucifixion of Christ and from the Roman Empire to middle aged England they realise they could carry out each others jobs.
In return for Crowley saving Aziraphale from a beheading in Paris and some Nazi’s in London in the 1940s, he asks for some holy water in case everything goes wrong. Aziraphale finally concedes.
Meanwhile as everyone begins to see the signs pointing to Tadfield, Adam (Sam Taylor Buck) gets an education on the world’s issues from Anathema Device (Adria Arjona) and Famine (Yusuf Gatewood) receives his call to war.
