In this episode Michelle talks about how space weather has the ability to impact our energetic bodies here on earth. Recently we witnessed the greatest solar storm in the last two decades through the impressive Aurora Borealis display May 10th, 2024 (and 11th depending on where you are). It is easy to take for granted the impact weather and even lunar cycles can have on our body, but the Northern Lights make the invisible visible. This gives us an awareness of the space weather that can be affecting our nervous systems at different times.

There are all kinds of stats out there stating the average time it takes to learn something new. I think of myself as “above average” so I “should” learn quickly. When I don’t learn something right away, you can count on frustration and lack of patience showing up quickly. In this episode I share some reasons why it takes longer than we would hope to build a new way of doing and how we can override our bodies protection mechanism to learn more quickly and install neural pathways that last. You’ll also find some techniques that you can use to keep your nervous system feeling safe so that your brain can learn and create these new pathways with greater ease.

I believe truth has a frequency. We can feel it, but we can also hear a truth. In this episode, I talk about two occasions when I heard the same truth and how I unpacked the lesson that came with it. It’s no secret that when you’re stressed, you might be more sensitive or reactive. Have you considered that it might literally impact the way you see the world? When we are stressed, we are more apt to be defensive and see a different perspective than we would if we were to see it from a more relaxed state. In this episode I (Michelle) share a story from when I was highly dysregulated and “lost it” on my neighbor. It’s totally embarrassing but I’m sharing to help the masses prevent this from happening to them! It was a learning opportunity and I’m so grateful for the example my neighbors set for me.

I don’t believe that your hardships or how hard you work make you any more deserving of success. I understand this is an unpopular belief in a society driven by the hustle culture. We would all love to see someone who has struggled for years win. But can we also be happy for those who found success without the blood sweat and tears? In this episode, I’ll tell you why I think deservedness is your birthright and everyone deserves it no matter how hard they work. I’ll also talk about how we can’t confuse it with entitlement.

In this episode I talk about how many of us were raised on the belief that if you don’t ride during the week, you don’t deserve to go on the weekend. I believe this can be a limiting belief and is likely the reason many women have quit competing or quit horses all together. Especially when they get to the “making meals, changing diapers, moving water trucks, baling hay, working full time and driving a combine” stage of life. While it can be difficult to motivate young people without the use of shame, I think we need a better strategy. I believe you still deserve to be there if you missed a few days of riding this week. There needs to be a balance of maintaining a horse’s fitness level and a life away from horses. You deserve to be there, that has nothing to do with how much you rode this week. Give this one a listen and get yourself some permission to seek this balance.

Whether you’ve ever been drawn to hike in Utah or not, I hope this episode inspires you to go on your own adventure. Spending time on your own is a good opportunity to clear your energy and tune into your inner compass. Your adventure need not be grand, it can be to your local park or your own backyard. Adventure within your means, but don’t let adventure sneak out of your life. In this episode I talk about my recent solo adventure to Utah and many of the serendipitous events. You’ll hear how I follow my own compass and listen for clues and messages I need to hear along the way. You can do this too, in your own guided way.

A broken heart isn’t just an expression, it can really happen. The grief and trauma we go through as humans that is normalized, can also have an impact on our hearts. In this episode, I share how we can subconsciously create a wall around our hearts with the intent on protecting ourselves from hurt. The result however is that we’ve created a wall that potentially blocks love from getting in and out. I believe it can also impact our ability to feel our hearts and lead from the heart so that we can truly lead an unbridled life. Fortunately, this energy block can be healed and cleared but for starters listen to learn how it happens.
