What makes you a heretic? Journalist Andrew Gold believes that, in an age of group-think and tribes, we need heretics - those who use unconventional wisdom to speak out against their own groups, from cancelled comedians and radical feminists to cult defectors and vigilantes hunting deviants.
Learn from my guests how to rebel, think differently and resist social contagion. From Triggernometry's Francis Foster and the world's most cancelled man Graham Linehan to Robbie Williams and gender critical atheist Richard Dawkins. These are the people living with the weight of their own community's disappointment on their shoulders. -
The definitive podcast about the Burma Campaign of World War Two. Later series will consist of around 12 episodes, and will include a few interviews with historians, relatives of veterans, and plenty of deep dives into anything and everything related to the Burma Campaign - or the China-Burma-India Theatre as it is known in the USA. Step through the garden gate and join me, Josef Lloyd, on a journey to discover and champion Britain’s hidden horticultural treasures. Garden Wanderlust is dedicated to shining a spotlight on the independent gardens and hidden gems that often go unnoticed - spaces brimming with history, creativity, and passion.
Starting in my native South Wales and South West England, I’ll uncover the stories of these unique gardens by meeting the incredible people who care for them - gardeners, designers, volunteers, and visionaries. Together, we’ll explore what makes these spaces so special and why they deserve to be celebrated.
Whether you’re a seasoned horticulturist or simply someone who loves a peaceful escape into nature, Garden Wanderlust will inspire and delight as I explore the beauty, heart, and soul of Britain’s tucked-away horticultural havens.

This podcast features the lives of the people who live in Church Stretton, Little Stretton, All Stretton and surrounding villages in the Shropshire Hills. It's a tourist area and we welcome visitors from all over the world to enjoy The Shropshire Hills AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). You will find our guests not only on top of the Long Mynd, but nursing a craft beer in the warm glow of a pub fire or having reasonably priced coffee and cake in one of the handful of tea rooms in town.
We are the first village podcast and the first community podcast in the world. We aim to be fun, entertaining and informative without any ranting, rudeness or intolerance. We're non-political, non-religious and self-funded. When deciding upon content, we prioritse the quirky, unusual, interesting, funny and curious. We get asked by many local organisations to feature their upcoming events and good causes but we're not a public service broadcaster and just because something is important, doesn't mean it's interesting. Because we are self-funded, we only publish what we find interesting and it turns out that many other people find it interesting too.
We are village people. We want to give a voice to the villages in the Shropshire Hills so we have a dedicated monthly section which we call The Village Hall Reports. Here, several members of village hall committees in the area will give us a report of what;s been going on and what's upcoming. This helps publicise the events in these villages, increases engagement and improves the economy of these remote rural communities.
We would like other towns and villages to join our movement, wherever you are, get in touch and let's get started.
We're independent of any organisation and published every fortnight with bonus long form interviews once a month.
Enjoy it, subscribe and follow to help us get visibility and grow this podcast. We have a website http://thestrettonspod.com/.

A series of interviews that seek to unpack and explore the concept of 'heteropessimism' as well as its travels throughout scholarship and popular culture, with the ultimate goal to find a way forward, towards a 'hetero-optimism'. This is a podcast for straight and queer folks alike interested in thinking holistically about gender, relationships and sexuality today.
