Lucas and Luna sit at a data-science workstation, two thin laptops open to scatter plots and clustering visualizations, and ask: what can we actually learn from the numbers? Each episode of The Data Science Podcast with Fexingo is a grounded, specific conversation about a single analytics problem or machine-learning method — from regularization in regression to the bias-variance trade-off in random forests. Lucas leads with a journalistic eye for how models are built and tested in the real world, citing actual case studies like how Netflix used matrix factorization for recommendations or how healthcare researchers apply survival analysis to clinical trials. Luna keeps the discussion honest, asking about data quality, feature engineering pitfalls, and whether a model’s accuracy actually translates to business value. They never resort to buzzwords: instead, they walk through the workflow from data collection to deployment, discussing trade-offs like interpretability versus performance. The show serves data scientists, analysts, and engineers who want to stay sharp on methods without the hype. Listeners walk away with a clearer understanding of why one algorithm beats another on a given dataset, and what that means for their own projects. Can a neural network ever be truly explainable? And if not, should we trust it anyway?#DataScience #MachineLearning #Analytics #DataEngineering #Statistics #Python #RStats #DeepLearning #AI #BigData #DataVisualization #PredictiveModeling #CausalInference #DataQuality #FeatureEngineering #Business #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #TechnologyKeep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Subscription models, marketplaces, SaaS, and service companies each have distinct unit economics, growth levers, and competitive moats. In this show, Lucas and Luna dissect how businesses like Netflix, Uber, Salesforce, and McKinsey actually make money — comparing CAC, LTV, churn rates, and contribution margins. Lucas brings journalistic rigor, cross-referencing financial filings and case studies; Luna challenges assumptions about scalability, pricing power, and customer lock-in. Each episode centers on a single model or a head-to-head comparison, avoiding fluff for concrete numbers. This is for listeners who want to understand why some subscription businesses fail while others thrive, why marketplace liquidity matters more than user count, or how SaaS companies balance growth against profitability. No founder hype, no generic advice — just the mechanics behind real companies. How do you choose the right model for a new venture? When should a marketplace pivot to managed services? What makes a subscription truly sticky?#SubscriptionModel #MarketplaceBusiness #SaaS #ServiceCompany #UnitEconomics #CAC #LTV #ChurnRate #ContributionMargin #Netflix #Uber #Salesforce #McKinsey #BusinessModel #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #Entrepreneurship #StrategyKeep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Join Rachel Vinrace as she sets sail for South America aboard her fathers ship, embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery akin to a modern mythical adventure. The eclectic mix of passengers serves as a canvas for Virginia Woolf to satirize the quirks of Edwardian society. This novel not only introduces the iconic Clarissa Dalloway, featured in Woolfs later work, Mrs Dalloway, but also includes characters inspired by real-life figures close to Woolf. St John Hirst channels the essence of Lytton Strachey, while Helen Ambrose reflects elements of Woolfs sister, Vanessa Bell. Rachels evolution from a sheltered existence in a London suburb to a life brimming with intellectual challenge and freedom mirrors Woolfs own escape from a restrictive upbringing into the vibrant world of the Bloomsbury Group.

With classical, lyrical tones, and frequently feminist-influenced themes, Sara Teasdale’s Love Songs established her as one of the leading writers in the new Romanticism movement. The book of poems, originally published in 1917, saw five additional printings before its 1918 edition owing to the tremendous demand for her work. The collection was selected as the 1918 winner of the Columbia University Poetry Prize (a precursor to the Pulitzer Prize for poetry). In spite of her commercial success and influence on other female poets such as Edna St. Vincent Millay, the style of Teasdale’s work fell out of fashion and has often been ignored in anthologies of work from that period. Here we offer a reading of the 1918 edition of her work. - Summary by Elise Dee

The staid academic title belies the freewheeling prose of D.H. Lawrence's essays, which are as contrarian, penetrating, and sometimes unpalatable as one might expect from the author. "America has never been easy, and is not easy to-day. Americans have always been at a certain tension." - Summary by Kazbek

Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning shared one of the great literary and romantic marriages of the 19th century, eloping to Italy to escape the objections of her family. Although they both wrote poetry throughout their married life, this collection was selected and edited after the death of both writers and there is no evidence that they themselves ever intended these poems to be a single collection. - Summary by Alan Mapstone
