When firefighters responded to 33-year-old Joey Lynn Offutt’s burning house in Sykesville, Pennsylvania, on July 12th, 2007, they were shocked to discover the remains of her infant son, Alexis Brolin III. In een dorpje in Friesland speelde in 2014 ook een vermissingszaak. De 34-jarige Sicco Cuperus verdween op weg naar zijn werk. Alleen zijn auto werd teruggevonden. Net als bij Hanno. Iris en Dija gaan op bezoek bij de ouders van Sicco in de hoop dat zij hun verhaal willen doen. Sicco’s vader is argwanend. Ze hebben de afgelopen jaren veel te verduren gehad van zogenaamde ‘luchtfietsers’. Ook gaan Dija en Iris praten met Franck Wagemakers van Slachtofferhulp Nederland.

Negen jaar na de vermissing van Hanno van Mil bij de Pyramide van Austerlitz, vindt totaal onverwacht een nieuwe zoekactie plaats. Brengt de tip die bij de politie is binnengekomen, nieuw licht op de zaak? Want raadselachtiger als deze verdwijning bestaat bijna niet. Hanno’s auto werd een dag na zijn vermissing op 12 april 2014 gevonden in het bos bij de piramide. Met de sleutels nog in het contact en zijn telefoon in de houder. Iris volgt de zaak al vanaf het begin en constateert dat mensen met plezier de meest wilde theorieën bedenken over de verdwijning. Samen met Dija brengt ze deze scenario’s in kaart. Maar wat heb je daaraan als verder ieder spoor ontbreekt?

Een 18-jarige jongen uit Almere is in korte tijd betrokken bij drie overvallen. Op een goudhandel, een drogisterij en een woning. Bij die laatste twee overvallen gaat de tiener zelfs gewapend naar binnen. Terwijl zijn gezicht bedekt is, bedreigt hij zijn slachtoffers met een mes.
De eerste zittingen beroept de jongen zich op zijn zwijgrecht, maar tijdens het proces verandert zijn houding en vertelt hij in tranen wat er is gebeurd. (Kinder)rechter Susanne Terporten behandelde de strafzaak en legt uit hoe die proceshouding van invloed was op de inhoudelijke behandeling van de zaak en de uiteindelijke uitkomst.

Het is oktober 2022. De 22-jarige Junlin fietst op klaarlichte dag door het centrum van Rotterdam, waar hij vrouwen aanvalt die gewoon een rondje lopen of op weg zijn naar een eetafspraak met een vriendin. Waarom?
De uit China afkomstige man kan het niet goed uitleggen. Wel is duidelijk dat hij in die periode zijn medicijnen tegen psychoses niet slikt. Hij hoort stemmen in zijn hoofd. Vijf van zijn zes slachtoffers doen aangifte tegen hem. Duidelijk wordt dat hun levens zijn veranderd na het incident. Eén slachtoffer liep PTSS op, een ander brak haar studie af, omdat het vak dat zij volgde haar deed denken aan de aanranding.
Verslaggever Adrianne de Koning van AD Rotterdams Dagblad was aanwezig bij de zaak. Een ingewikkelde zaak, waarbij zowel de rechter als de advocaat van verdachte Junlin zich afvragen of hij wel alles meekrijgt wat hem gevraagd wordt. En wat moeten ze aan met de man, die geen vaste woon- of verblijfplaats heeft in Nederland?

De 60-jarige Wageningse Marian Heij overlijdt op 13 mei 2012. De oud-boekverkoopster kampte al langer met klachten die leken op het syndroom van Guillain-Barré. Today, October 31, 2022, the Indiana State Police, in conjunction with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, United States Marshals Service, and the Carroll County Prosecutors Office, held a press conference where they made the announcement thousands of people have been waiting to hear: an arrest had been made for the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German.
Here’s what we know:
A man named Richard M Allen, 50, was arrested on the morning of Friday, October 28, 2022.He has been charged with 2 counts of murder and has plead “not guilty” on both counts.Much of the evidence, timeline of events, and how they got to him has not been publicized, so we’ll have to wait until his trial in March 2023.Even though there has been an arrest, ISP is keeping the tip line and tip email open, so if you have any information about Richard Allen or anything to do with the Delphi case, you can call (765) 822-3535, or email [email protected].
