Lauren Minear, a singer/songwriter from upstate NY.
Lauren released her debut album, Invisible Woman, in October this year with a sold-out launch show at the Red Room in Manhattan.
The album explores womanhood and the role of a mother in the modern world. Lauren was inspired to make the album after having her second child just as the pandemic started and navigating the difficulties of motherhood/postpartum depression during that strange time.
Lauren's story is a fascinating one; raised in Nashville, graduated from Yale, worked in Finance in NY, trained as a psychotherapist, is a mother to 2 boys, now pursuing a career in music and building real momentum.

We're back, baby!
Glen and Matt discuss all things 80s music in preparation for the upcoming Best of the 80s Tournament. -
Coach Chase Tolleson and I discuss the making of his debut album - 'Mystical Giants'!
Spoken word over lofi hip-hop, 'Mystical Giants' is truly an album like no other.

"Chase is a men’s life & fitness coach & his Primal Man Pathway Program helps men finally become proud of the man in the mirror – both on the inside & out. With fitness as a staple in his house growing up, he learned the value of daily movement & resistance training at an early age. Directionless & bored in school, he joined the Navy after 4 years of “trying” college. After the Navy, he found his passion in helping people and ran a boutique personal training gym for 8 years. He now serves men online using language and stories to demolish their inner critics and help them build the body – and life – of their dreams." -
Glad to be back on the airwaves!

TODAY, Emily E Finke is on the show to promote her latest single, 'Maybe'.
Before we get into the single, Emily and I talk about her origins in music, her upbringing, and how and when she got into singing. We also talk about why she is so drawn to classical music and vintage film-making.
We also discuss her creative process and how she balances MANY different balls in the air: from composing, producing, video production to audio engineering, songwriting and the performances themselves.
**Also, of note - the music video for 'Maybe' will be released on March 5th. It will premiere on Emily's YouTube channel (linked below).
The song has a classical feel to it, with a degree of musical theatre to it - the song tells a beautiful story :
Creative powerhouse Emily E. Finke once again captures the listener with her rich, mezzo-soprano voice and extraordinary songwriting in her new, original single, “Maybe.” Created with the soul of early 20th-century pop, the range of classical training, the inspiration of her Christian faith, and the ingenuity of an indie creative, “Maybe" takes the listener on an emotional journey of discovery to a place where “…dreams aren’t always what they seem.”
We spin the song 'Maybe' at the end of the show, so stick around for that!! 🔥

From Calgary, Alberta - TJ Elkin is on the show today to promote his projects release!
Tawni Bias is the project name, 'SEL Fellow' is the album title.
The album is a lush, beautiful & eclectic collection of genres and layers. The project started back in 2019 and has been TJ's labour of love for the past few years, helping himself deal with & process some personal grieving - as well as providing an empathetic soundtrack to those going through their own grieving.
We talked a lot about TJ's creative process in this episode, too, which always makes for fascinating conversation!
Great interview, wonderful album..and TJ is a super rad guy as you will hear.
**He will be back on the show very soon to do his own #10Albums 👀
