A new mix of an episode coming with this addition to the series: Two artists from Canada, Niteshade and ZOVAH join for a conversation. With ZOVAH being a bass artist and Niteshade being a house artist this conversation is definitely a first for Artists Talk, however it doesn't stop them from being great friends and even playing sets together. In listening to this one, you'll hear some solid advice for artists as well as really great views on staying happy throughout life. Something that no one can use enough of!

Adding some new sounds to the Artists Talk roster for this episode, bass artists Dack Janiels and Decimate join to give a perspective on the dance music industry from an angle outside of house music. Dack Janiels founding his record label, 40oz. Cult, which he runs alongside his sister Wenzday, spoke a bit about its origin and what it means to him. There are so many "hard truths" about being a professional in the industry that these two touch on in this chat, including the topic of how all-encompassing the job of an artist is nowadays. Never a dull moment either, with great stories throughout the episode.

On with a pair of artists in the house scene who have honed their craft and have been supported by many labels and artists, Tombz and Phantasm. Both of these guys have gone through their fair share of career transitions, with Phantasm having rebranded recently from his prior house project of "Achilles", and Tombz splitting up from being a duo project a couple years back. Throughout the episode, we talk about being a DJ in a city's music scene and how the artists in every scene are interconnected, effecting eachother with actions that they take in their career. Also, we have some fun talking about how producers in dance music play a role in videogames. Now how's that for a topic out of left field? Take a listen and enjoy a friendly chat between some talented artists.

Joining me for episode three, a duo from deep up north in Canada, FOOTWURK, come on alongside a fellow east coast house producer of mine, Mekii. Chatting about Mekii's musical background involving fresh sounds of jazz and pop music, as well as the tight-knit party vibes that FOOTWURK aim for in performances, it's easy to say that this talk was diverse. Exchanging music, sharing opinions about releasing music, and what the label game looks like outside of the house scene comparatively was even eye-opening for me. Give this one a listen if you want to hear a great Canadian accent and conversation about awesome house music!

Talking with two artists who are quickly getting more and more recognition in the UK bass scene, Kyogre and 1997. In this second episode of the season, we talked about the advantages current artists have over others who have come before them, how Kyogre made the transition to his current style of production, how 1997 does creative work outside of just his music, and more. Take a listen and get some more insight into these great UK producers' backgrounds.

Coming back with a big opener for the second season of Artists Talk, Wenzday and Birthdayy Partyy came on to chat with me about the music industry, the meaning of music in their lives, and their beginnings as artists. Birthdayy Partyy being a duo comprised of two brothers, they shared stories of growing as artists together and experiences they've shared. Wenzday, having her own record label, 40oz Cult, talked about how it got started and where it's headed. Season 2 kicking off with a bang!

Finally reaching the final episode of our first season, we're going out with a bang. Having Kendoll and Hotfire join, both part of the Night Bass record label family and good friends with eachother. Catching up throughout the episode, talking about their new music and directions, as well as sharing some of their favorite music production techniques, this episode was very cool one to sit back and listen to for me, and I'm sure it will be for you too!
Thank you for those who have listened to the episodes in this first season of Artists Talk. I have had so much fun meeting all of these artists and bringing you all these great conversations to learn from and enjoy. Next season has many more great artists in store, with more memories and knowledge to get out of its episodes. Can't wait to keep this series going! Two of the freshest house producers join me for this episode of Artists Talk, one from Spain and the other from Korea. I'm talking about none other than Eleganto and LOOZBONE! Both have been carving their own path and making names for themselves in the house scene with Eleganto even recently releasing an official remix for Martin Garrix. LOOZBONE pushing dance music in Asia as IN/ROTATION's developing new mainstay, specializes in a very crisp tech house sound. Unfortunately, Eleganto's mic went in and out while crackling here and there throughout the episode, so this turned out as a shorter episode. Regardless, hearing some exclusive new music from these two as well as enjoying some great conversation makes the episode more than worth it to check out!

We're into the Pacific Northwest of the US for this episode with Seattle-based artists, GRAYMATTER and Avenue. These two share label ties with me, being part of Sub 49 Collective, a bass house label out of Seattle which GRAYMATTER the label manager of. GRAYMATTER himself is a DJ at heart, with a background of open-format DJing turned to audio engineering, as he recently graduated with a master's degree at Berklee College of Music. That being said, this episode is packed with knowledge that any music producer could learn a thing or two from. Avenue on the other hand is a producer melding bass house production with his love of tech house, resulting in a rhythmic style while maintaining his aggressive basslines. He has feature releases on several labels including Boat House, Ghetto Ghetto, From The Hood, and (of course) Sub 49. There's a lot of history in this one between the artists as well as about the city's premiere bass house record label!

On the mic with two of the most genuine house producers in the scene, NOISES and Doggo. In this episode, we talk about staying confident in our abilities as artists as well as how music outside of EDM influences their styles when they produce. The two friends share a lot in common and also comment on the importance of maintaining strong bonds between fellow artists in the music community. The positive energy from these two flowed throughout the entire episode and made this session a joy to be a part of!

The artists who joined me in this session, although great friends, live on complete opposite sides of the world. These two being Castnowski and PEACE MAKER! Castnowski being from the Montreal, Canada, includes a wide range of sounds in his music, from his well-known bass house to his more recent style of lush, summery vibes. He takes his creative vision one step further in the form of his own notable record label, Fraudulent Records. PEACE MAKER!, an artist from Lisbon, Portugal, is known for the groovy, driving basslines in his tech house tracks. Having signed songs to many respected labels in the game such as Myth of NYX, Repopulate Mars, Dim Mak, and This Ain't Bristol, PEACE MAKER! is definitely seen to be a very talented artist in the dance music scene. Seeing the interactions between these two was great to see as the banter had no end!

Have you heard of a kolache? Well I didn't before this episode with Isenberg and Milazzo, two bass house and UK bassline artists residing in Texas. Being good friends with one another, they have multiple collaborations and have supported eachother's careers for a long while. Isenberg has featured his fresh form of aggressive bass house on labels like Night Bass, Confession, and In Rotation, whereas Milazzo has released on some more UK-based labels such as Yosh Pit, Primitive UK, and About Last Night Records. Milazzo's vocals also gives her tunes a staple sound and attitude across her discography, working with other artists like Makla, Albzzy, and SILK. More awesome memories and laughs to listen to in this one between myself and these two talented artists!

From across the globe, one artist being from Las Vegas, Nevada, and the other being from Israel, this episode connected two artists in the bass house scene, by the names of Sebastian Knight and Tomix, who pursue very niche sounds within the genre. From the deep groove of Sebastian's basses to the weird and new sounds of Tomix, these two have definitely carved out their own spots in the music community, releasing on labels such as Confession, Gold Digger, Mixmash, and Noir Sur Blanc. The discussion in this one goes all over the place, from the artists' origins in dance music, to the expectations of record labels, and even to video games and VR. Speaking with two people who have completely different cultural perspectives made this one really interesting in itself!

Talk about unique and less common styles of dance music when it comes to this episode. I'm joined by Morelia and Notthefather in this one to chat about the paths they've walked inside and out of the music industry. Some fun stories were told and opinions on limitations and expectations put on artists were shared. Also, Morelia running his own label, Teethy, got to speak on what he's trying to do with the sound they are developing as well as where it stands as far as genres go as well!

Two UK artists bring a new dynamic to the podcast for this episode as mentor and student. Albzzy and Sando join me on this one to talk about their different perspectives on growing as artists in two different stages of development as well as what it takes to rely on the music industry for a full-time career. Another talking point of this episode is Albzzy's growing record label, About Last Night Records, which Sando co-owns with Albzzy as the two have grown close through the mentorship. The points discussed in this one are interesting whether you're a part of the music industry or not, definitely making this session, in particular, stand out in the series.

Representing some very large labels as up-and-comers, Nukey and Bonkr chat with me in this episode about their experiences being groomed by some of the most knowledgable industry teachers and companies in the electronic dance scene. With Nukey, a tech house duo from the UK, being on track to release with Spinnin' Records' main label in a matter of time and Elias Veer, an artist from the Netherlands, starting to release with Revealed Records, this episode is filled with talent.

Bringing artists together is the goal of this entire podcast and it gets even better when bringing together two best friends. For this episode, two rapidly growing bass house artists, Fox'd and PR!CE, join me to reconnect and chat about what they have going on in their lives inside and outside of their music. A lot of fond and funny memories are shared and I even decided to bring a special guest on for these two. This is a heartwarming one to hear.

Unique sounds coming from the artists on this episode, Fantom Freq and SPACEWALK. With them residing in Los Angeles, the two are very active in the entertainment industry, where Fantom Freq has even started his own record label recently, Thicc Freqness. Both artists have released on an array of labels among the likes of Bite This, Jadu Dala, and In Rotation. During our session, we got to chat about outlets for destressing, music branding/promotion, and what role music plays in our lives. It was a fun, laidback conversation with some great knowledge shared.

Spending some time with two very skilled Canadian bass house producers on this episode of Artists Talk, Brandon Mints and Ian from the duo, 2Below. The conversation in this one primarily revolves around the topic of where the future of the music industry is going as well as how these two got started with their journey in it and what they do to keep up with their own music. Some good memories were reflected on during this talk and there are definitely several points to be learned by other musicians in this one!

We're all about the energy and vibes on this episode of Artists Talk, with Cloverdale and CASHEW joining me to talk about some high-octane house. Both artists being part of the Vibrancy record label, started by Cloverdale himself, strive to bring fresh and energetic takes on house music with every release. Aside from Vibrancy, the two have a multitude of releases on other well-known labels as well such as Confession, Insomniac's In Rotation, and Gold Digger, just to name a few. Get ready to hear some interesting stories, hear a thing or two about what it's like being a non-American artist in the EDM industry and see what the Vibrancy label is all about!
