This weekâs podcast reviews the major astrological energies affecting us right nowâincluding the ongoing global realignment of partnerships, authoritarian restrictions against individual freedoms, the transgression of previously established boundaries, and the potential of the U.S.âs involvement in war, to name a few.
Since Israelâs attacks on Iran began on June 13, & the Sunâs entrance into Cancer at the summer solstice on June 20 (where he joined Jupiter & Mercury there), & Mars in Virgo, the U.S. decided to join also attack Iran on June 21 as we approach the Cancer New Moon on June 25.
Sensitivity is the name of the game right now, whether we overreact due to hyper sensitivity & lash out, or whether we run and hide to avoid any future pain. As the Sun & Moon conjoin at 4â08â Cancer, they both join Jupiter at 3 degrees Cancer to form a square to both Saturn & Neptune in Aries, which inserts an element of confusion into whether transgressing Iranâs boundaries by dropping bombs on their nuclear facilities was at all successful.
This Sun/Moon/Jupiter conjunction has lent itself to massive over enthusiasm that the âobliterationâ of any nuclear threat from Iran, which may well turn out to be false. Similarly, their squares to Saturn/Neptune in Aries may highlight the hubristic nature of Americaâs unquestioning trust in Israelâs vaguely defined assessment that this threat was (or is) imminent over Americaâs own intelligence assessment which concluded that this is currently not the case.
This podcast look at the astrological energies leading up to this point where Iran has now retaliated against the U.S. base Al Udeid in Qatar located close to the Iranian border, and whether threats by Iran to actually close the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping are real or exaggerated.
We explore the triggered effects of the Mars/Uranus square which perfected on June 15, and how itâs brought us to this point of sudden warfare. And the effects of the Jupiter/Saturn square which has pitted old, restrictive conservatives against the young progressives a la the mythological battle between Zeus & Cronos, aka, Jupiter & Saturn.
Further, we explore the meaning of the two yods, or fingers of fate, formed now since the June 20 entrance of the Sun into Cancer at the summer solstice & which will reverberate still through the upcoming Cancer New Moon at 4â08â Cancer at 3:32 a.m. PT & 6:32 p.m. on June 25.
Voices--of both protestors against and adherents for war--may get louder as Mercury enters Leo on June 26, while Mercuryâs trine to Neptune late June 27 or early June 28, depending on your time zone, may make it easier for some to swallow as true anything from denials to complete fabrications.
By the time Mercury opposes Pluto on June 29, weâll have a recurrence of the natal energy of the U.S. Sibly birth chartâs 8th House Mercury opposite its 2nd House Pluto. So keep any eye whatâs happening by then with Congressâs budget reconciliation bill currently stuck in the Senate as the GOP continues to believe that it can make tax cuts for the wealthy permanent at the expense of removing health care and more from U.S. citizens.
This podcast includes how Uranus at 29-degrees of Taurus, known as the Pleiades point, may well result in metaphorical âblindnessâ about the potential negative results of actions taken now. At least until they become obvious in the future, since Uranus will hit this degree again not once, but twice before the end of May 2026. This weekâs podcast discusses how the U.S. Pluto return has brought us to the point where people protesting in the streets against the âdisappearanceâ of people under the orders of the government-sanctioned Immigration & Customs Enforcement agency may well mark the beginning of the recurrence of the American Revolution.
This podcast discusses all thatâs occurred as we continue to wax toward the exact Mars/Uranus & Jupiter/Saturn squares on June 15. And how that includes President Trumpâs use of the Los Angeles protests to justify usurping Californiaâs Governor Gavin Newsom legal authority to call in first that stateâs national guard, and then the federal marines.
That we are in a recurrence of the time of the birth of this nation, and since the exact Pluto return to its natal place in the U.S. Sibly birth chart, seems more undeniable than ever now. This podcast explains how recurrent energies work and highlights how the events of the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol insurrection a year before the first exact Pluto return conjunction on February 20, 2022, set the U.S. into revolutionary motion.
We further discuss the transits & progression to the U.S. chart on January 6, and how the âbig lieâ by sore loser Donald Trump created illusion, confusion, & delusion of millions in this nation by the time of the U.S. progressed lunar new moon on March 25, 2024. And how, since Mercury & Jupiter entered sensitive, nurturing, protective Cancer on June 8 & 9, respectively, & as we approach the June 15 Jupiter/Saturn waxing square, weâve seen emotions expand in reaction to actions taken by a tyrannical wannabe dictator against his own citizenry.
âIt feels as if the underbelly of the entire country is now on full view,â Eddie Glaude, Jr., Princeton University academic & political pundit recently stated. In doing so, he aptly sums up the nature of Plutoâs current energies, that of exposing all our dirty laundryânot to mention this nationâs history of political dirty tricksâto the surface for all to see.
Whatâs been made clear since the June 11 Sagittarius Full Moonâwhich formed a mutable cross to the transiting nodal axisâis that we must eschew the more myopic perspective for a much larger, bigger picture understanding of whatâs actually happening now.
And thatâs especially true as we wax toward the explosive nature of Mars in Leoâs square to Uranus in Taurus, best exemplified right now not only by the sudden martial actions taken against U.S. citizens by its own government, but internationally as well.
Though not covered in this podcast since it occurred post recording, we know now that Israel has bombed Iranâs capital and killed several prominent leaders there, including those in charge of its nuclear program. This, not only as we approach the exact Mars/Uranus square, but also as transiting Mars quincunxes the U.S. natal Pluto.
Ya canât get more of a plutonic message than that, between whatâs going on here and the U.S.âs pre-knowledge of Israelâs actions, since the government moved many Americans out of its nearby embassies in the Middle East.
As the Saturn/Neptune in Aries dance continues, weâre also seeing far more instability not only in the U.S., but worldwide. Today marks a day when the waxing Saturn/Pluto synodic cycle, begun on January 12, 2020, continues to illustrate a global realignment of power. We sit on the potential doorstep of WWIII and wait and watch to see how Iran will make good on its threat to retaliate.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on the military parade in Washington, D.C., on Trumpâs BD June 14, as all this chaos now swirls around not only the U.S. but the world. Will something sudden happen that involves the military? Will the troops whoâve been assigned to this parade and to California be needed elsewhere while theyâre distracted by being in D.C.?
As for the pending June 15 Jupiter/Saturn, this podcast discusses how the mythological battle between Jupiter (Zeus) & Saturn is one between the old & the new, the old & the young. Weâre seeing this play out now in American politics as Democrats resist allowing older Congressional incumbents to be primaried by younger people.
Weâre also seeing the tension between established law (Jupiter) & authorities who want to bypass those laws to achieve their immediate aims. Itâs here that the Saturn/Neptune in Aries energy comes into play, as it dissolves the boundaries of foundational structures. The question is whether pushback against dismantling foundational constitutional norms will succeed or be overthrown.

As we wax toward the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11, we first experience the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Gemini June 8 which, as its been waxing has broadcast some interesting news about a major break up. Seems the public spat between President Donald Trump & billionaire Elon Musk made its way onto social media & weâve been privy to the exaggerated claims & taunts of both men.
The pending breakup of this bromance had long been forecast by astrologers, especially since transiting Uranus once again conjoined âoff with his headâ fixed star Algol circa May 4. This energy began when Mars & Uranus conjoined close to Algol July 15, 2024, & on July 13 an assassin tried to shoot Trump at his political rally in Butler, PA, on July 13. When we combine this Mercury/Jupiter in Gemini spat with the energies of the waxing first quarter âcrisis in actionâ Mars/Uranus square (which perfects on June 15), we see their influence on this sudden, acrimonious, loudly conducted & widely publicized bromance breakup.
This podcast explores how both Trump & Musk have Sun/Uranus aspects in their chart, yet neither of them seem to consciously notice their own erratic tendencies. Plus, how Muskâs Cancer Sun/Libra Uranus cardinal square makes him futuristically progress-oriented, while Trump's SU/UR conjunction in Gemini seems to be about destroying conventional norms but then adapting by taking us back in time.
Their recent public social media argument (it is Gemini season, after all, & this archetypal energy joined with Jupiter in Gemini likes to loudly exaggerate) has become the breakup fight heard âround the world. During their back & forth, Musk called for Trumpâs impeachment, Trump threatened to withhold billions of dollars of Muskâs current government contracts, & Musk retaliated by saying his SpaceX companyâs Dragon Spacecraft would no longer resupply the international space station or ferry astronauts there & back.
Their whole argument began when Musk suddenly objected to Trumpâs âbig beautiful billâsâ inclusion of the elimination of electric vehicle tax credits which are valuable to Musk's company, Tesla. The bill now sits in the Senate, which has not yet sent its version back to the House. Meanwhile, Trump would lose out on Muskâs financial support for Republicans in future election battles, never mind that Musk funded Trumpâs presidential campaign to the tune of $230 million in 2024.
Before long, however, Musk backed down from his last threat & is seeking âa conversationâ with Trump, which makes us wonder how long it will be before both money-obsessed characters (& yes, you can be a billionaire & still be obsessed about money, lol) might kiss & make up. And whether or not breaking up is actually hard to do, lol...
Thus far, Trump has refused, so whether Trumpâs natal wounds around partnership, plus his current transits--such as the fact that Uranus in his 10th is now squaring his Leo Ascendant/Aquarius Descendant, denoting sudden changes in partnershipâwill last, who knows? We also see heâs approaching a Mars return as transiting Mars approaches a conjunction to his natal Mars in Leo on his Ascendantâthe latter a recipe for having a chip on his shoulder--& has a few other interesting transits & progressions, so tune in to find out more!
Meanwhile, Venus is now in Taurus since June 5/6 as Mercury & Jupiter both enter Moon-ruled Cancer on June 8 & 9, respectively, & we wax toward the June 11 Sagittarius Full Moon which forms a mutable square to the transiting nodal axis. Hard on the heels of the recent transit of Jupiter square to the Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, there will likely be much legal news as a result, especially out of the Supreme Court now that itâs term has ended & we know decisions are forthcoming.
A couple of things seem certain, too, the first being that our emotional sensitivityâespecially around our financial stability or lack thereof (Venus in Taurus)âwill be heightened now. Along with this, however, we may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities (Jupiter in Cancer) to see beyond the boundaries of our local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future. (Perhaps Muskâs 5â53â Cancer Sun will benefit from the pending conjunction by Jupiter between now & July 5, & reunited with Trumpâhey, you never know, if not, they both have a lot to loseâŠ)
Meanwhile, by the time we reach this weekâs Sagittarius Full Moon which occurs at 20â39â of Sagittarius at 12:44 am PT & 3:44 a.m. ET on June 11, we may experience the height of changed perspectives because we now know that we may have been tricked into believing things we were told were in our best interest are actually far from that.
As always, this full Moon reflects the light of the Sun back onto itself, revealing its shadow side. So, this particular lunationâin the U.S., at least--has the Sagittarius Moon highlighting the trickster nature of the Geminiâs Sunâs attempts to bamboozle us through his sleight of hand âif we take from the poor to give to the rich, itâs to benefit YOU.â
Hence, we are asked at this Sagittarius Full Moon to release our old perceptionsâbased on the Geminian tendency to collect & pass misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, & conspiracy theories without analyzing any of it.
This may prove hard to do, however, since Venus forms a fixed square to Pluto & Mercury squares Neptune still at this lunationâboth recipes for financial coercion & obfuscation about, or distortion of, facts. This becomes relevant, in the U.S. at least, to continued attempts by the U.S. Congress to come up with an acceptable budget reconciliation bill which itâs trying to do by July 4 to avoid having the U.S. fall off a fiscal cliff.
All of this as we approach the exact Leo Mars/Taurus Uranus opening square in its synodic cycle, and the same when Jupiter in Cancer forms an exact first quarter cardinal square to Saturn in Aries, all on June 15. Things are bound to heat up on many fronts, especially by the military street destroying parade scheduled for June 14, which happens to be Trump birthday AND âNo Kings!â protest day around the U.S.
Whether, as we enter then the waning portion of this monthâs lunar cycle, we learn with greater clarity whether this military parade is the âbattle,â while the protests are the âlong term strategy,â remains to be seenâŠ

This podcast explores how the recent history between the May 17 Sun/Uranus conjunction & the May 24 Mercury/Uranus conjunction in Taurus, & the May 29/30 superior conjunction of the Sun with Mercury direct in Gemini have awakened us through unexpected sudden revelations--of the âI can see clearly nowâ kind--between then and now.
Awakened us to what? Well, when we look at the symbolism--from the announcement on May 18 of former president Joe Bidenâs stage 4 prostate cancer to May 22âs U.S. House passage of its âfriendly to the richâ budget reconciliation bill & May 24âs yet again flip flop on tariffs by President Trumpâwe start to see a pattern.
And that pattern, combined with announcements made between May 28-30--including a court ruling banning Trumpâs on-again-off-again tariffs followed by a swift reversal of that ruling, along with the announcement of pardons for convicted individuals who have donated bigly to Trump--starts to smell like somethingâs rotten in Denmark.
What we may have missed the first two Sun & Mercury conjunctions to Uranus in Taurus, thatâs inherent now in this latest Sun/Mercury get together in Gemini, is the sleight of hand deceit and deception thatâs been going on all along.
This clearly correlate Geminiâs archetypal role & reputation as the trickster, who uses more devious ways to fool those around him. Whatâs different now, however, is the fact that deceit usually takes place behind the scenes.
But when we equate Bidenâs sudden announcement on May 18 with the symbolic nature of the currently ongoing U.S. Pluto return, we glean from the symbolism that something thatâs been hidden for a long time has now become obvious. Since the prostate is archetypally aligned with Plutoâs Scorpio, & Bidenâs illness was reportedly long in the making but unknown to his doctors, this sudden revelation symbolizes how the U.S. has likewise been rotting from the inside out for quite some time & we simply never noticed.
Now, however, all of these recent Sun, Mercury, & Uranus aspects in the sky have alerted us to the fact that this current presidentâs grift-- now so commonplace, so boldly out in the open--is so easily accepted by those who could/should call it out for what it is. As the rest of us begin to understand with greater clarity that the emperor truly has NO clothes, we likewise recognize those who benefit from both his grift & his delusions.
So, as we wax into this monthâs first quarter âcrisis in actionâ lunar square of the Virgo Moon to the Gemini Sun on June 2--accompanied by June 1âs Venus/Chiron/Eris conjunction in Ariesâwe now see the tension between verifiable Virgoan facts & Geminian casual passage of non-verified information. And how much of the latter was behind such âyou canât have possibly missed itâ glaringly obvious financial transactions by now.
Venus moves into its own sign of Taurus June 5/6, depending on your time zone, while Mercury conjoins Jupiter in Gemini June 8. Shortly after, Mercury will enter the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer June 8, & Jupiter follows suit on June 9. Our emotional sensitivity heightened, we then may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities to see beyond our more boundaried local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future.

This weekâs podcast begins with a look at the chart of former president Joe Biden since his shocking prostate cancer diagnosis was announced May 18, just after the exact Sun/Uranus conjunction in Taurus on May 17. We take a deep dive into his horoscope, starting with his Progressed Lunar New Moon @ 1â30 Aquarius on May 5, 2019, through to the previous & current opposition to his 12th House Scorpio Sun by Uranus in Taurus as it transits his 6th House of health.
We posit that Bidenâs journey from winning the presidency in 2020 & helping restore America to full health during the Covid-19 pandemic, to his current announcement of metastasized cancer, symbolizes the current âill healthâ of the U.S. In other words, that Bidenâs sudden shocking announcement of previously unknown cancer is awakening Americans to the same "weakening" as part of the trajectory occurring within their nation.
How do we know this? Because weâre under the auspices now of the current Pluto return triggered essentially since the January 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol, which occurred a year before its exact return in February 2022. An insurrection incited & caused by sore loser Donald Trump in the November 3, 2020, presidential election based on false claims of election fraudâjust as we approached the new Jupiter/Saturn synodic cycle on December 31, 2020, at 0â30â AQ which foretold a change in leadership.
We look at how the Pluto return is annihilating the former legal rights of individuals here in conjunction with the current transiting Jupiter square to the transiting nodal axis, particularly to the Virgo South Node. And how the Mercury-ruled Virgo archetype affects our health as related to the recently passed reconciliation bill in the U.S. House of Representative which seeks âperfectionâ through numbers to balance the budget, yet attempts to do so by denying average citizens their previous right to government-funded health care.
And thatâs just the tip of the iceberg, as the House bill now goes to the Senate as we approach Saturnâs entrance into Mars-ruled Aries on May 24 & the Gemini New Moon & Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries on May 26. Whether the Senate discusses reducing the health burden the House placed on individuals to pay more to take care of their health needs or not remains to be seen.
But one thing is clear: The Saturn ingress into Mars--as Saturn begins his slow journey toward an exact conjunction to Neptune in Aries on February 26, 2026--we have the opportunity to awaken to the amount of wounding & chaos already caused under the guise of âfiscal responsibility.â This hypocritical claim by the U.S. Congress persists despite the fact that the current legislation wants to extend tax cuts for corporations and the rich at the expense of those in the lower income brackets to the tune of increasing our national debt by $3.8 Trillion over the next decade.
That this has weakened our previous alliances & global partnershipsâpart and parcel of the waxing Saturn/Pluto 36-year cycle in Capricorn begun on January 12, 2020--becomes obvious as weâre also still under the auspices of the currently waxing Jupiter/Saturn cycle in Aquarius begun December 31, 2020.
We look at the prescient words of renowned astrologer Stephen Arroyo written in 1984 about the meaning of the change from 200 years of Jupiter/Saturn cycles in earth to air, the latter of which began in 1980 in Libra. Join us to learn more about what this âgrand mutationâ has meant between then & now, despite the 2000 conjunction in earth again & its return to the air element for the long term in 2020. (Hint: It concerns the âreestablishment of old-style capitalism,â & the redistribution of wealth from the poorest to the richest.)
Now, as we approach Saturnâs entrance into Aries, we might look at the bright side of this otherwise potentially frustrating & depressing combination of archetypal energies. On the one hand, we have the potential for an increasingly slow reduction of our rights to free speech (& more), & the resulting depression that can set in when we think we have no recourse but to bury the frustration of being told to shut up and take it.
However, on the other hand, we can use this transit to devise carefully thought out long-term plans to regain our rights. Saturn in Mars-ruled Aries can slow the warriorâs roll just enough to avoid impatient or impetuous moves & to direct our energies toward succeeding through hard work.
The 6â06â Gemini New Moon, at 8:02 p.m. PT & 11:02 p.m. ET on May 26, can help us plant seeds to gain new perspectives by listening to the facts. Since Gemini likes to collect & pass information, but not to analyze it for conclusions, we can use our mental adaptability to consider alternative viewpoints now about whatâs causing our current state of chaos and how itâs wounded us.
The Gemini archetype is related to tactics. However, itâs Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, its archetypal opposite energy, that plans overall strategy. So, in the short term now, we can begin to discuss how to plan to regain our rights in the future, courtesy of Saturnâs entrance into Mars.
The upcoming Sun/Mercury conjunction in Gemini, occurring late on May 29/early May 30, depending on your time zone, may reveal more information from on high in the form of a major announcement of some kind. And this, in turn, may further awaken us to how much the recent discord & chaos has wounded us--via wounded healer Chironâs conjunction to dwarf planet Eris in Aries-- & how weâve seemingly been stymied over the past few months by chaos-induced inertia.

It seems clear now in hindsight that the May 12 Scorpio Full Moon asked us--& asks us still in the waning portion of this monthâs lunar cycle--to release any attachment to making sudden changes in, or reversals of, long held, deeply felt values.
In essence, the May 12 lunation served as a warning that a sudden change in values may not serve the overall evolutionary process--which understands that things cannot remain the same forever but also that change must occur slowly because that is how the evolutionary process works. Ergo, we need to release our tendency to decide to suddenly do an about face vis-a-vis our long held traditional values.
This becomes even clearer when we remember two things: That Pluto is now transiting through the Uranus-ruled sign of Aquarius, denoting that evolutionary change over the long term is necessary & that it may be led by the eventual progressive empowerment of groups; & that the U.S. is undergoing still its Pluto return which began in February 2022.
The Taurus Sun normally does not like change. It likes its creature comforts & finds security in its resources, including land, money, and its physical body & possessions. In short, Taurus is reluctant to change what it deems pleasurable. And whatâs pleasurable is what Taurus values.
However, when the Taurus Sun exact conjoins sudden change maker Uranus on May 17âparticularly in stubborn change resistant Taurusâthe Uranian principle that the longer change has been resisted the more sudden & shocking it will seem when it inevitably occurs becomes prevalent. In addition, Uranus, which rules Aquarius, tends to bring us suddenâsometimes shocking & often unexpectedârevelations with lightning speed that provide us stark clarity. Thatâs why astrologers often refer to Uranus as the âgreat awakener.â
The Sun also represents the leader in mundane astrology. And, whatâs changing rapidly now is related to his or her personal values, rather than those of the collective (read: the people.) Given that Neptuneâs now in Aries, we are seeing an awakening, or new birth if you will, of the need for freedom of choice within the greater collective, especially in America.
And this has presented us with a dilemma in terms of this nationâs long held values around equality & freedom from tyranny. The current U.S. Pluto return, in effect for several years ahead still, denotes that adaptation will be necessary in order to avoid total extinction of the democratic process here.
This podcast takes a deep dive into the sudden, recently attempted changes to both the 236 year-old U.S. Constitution & its long held & accepted legal premise around issues such as habeas corpus & the right to due process, the emoluments clause, birthright citizenship, and more.
While itâs true that the U.S. Constitution is in need of a modern-day upgrade, sudden change is not the way. Thatâs because we donât want to throw the baby out with the bathwater in terms of its basic principles such as that âall men are created equal,â and that the U.S. Government is one âof the people, by the people, for the people.â
What will be necessary in the years to come, under the tutelage of Pluto in Aquarius, will be an update to the meaning of these words. âAll men,â for example should not mean only White male Christian aristocratic landowners or corporate robber barons. It must extend its humanitarian Aquarian nature into a more collectively Neptunian sense that ALL humans deserve equal rightsâincluding minorities, women, immigrants, LGBTQ+, etc.--& that corporations & billionaires must not tyrannically control the masses.
These are the immediate issues to ponder as transiting Jupiter in Gemini forms a square to the transiting Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, which urges us to move away from trying to control every aspect of our environment & toward relaxing into a more empathic, inclusive one. This is especially true right now in terms of Jupiter-related archetypes: law, immigration, higher education, religion, & a free press (read: freedom of speech.)
As we move toward the third quarter monthly âcrisis in consciousnessâ lunar square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sun on May 20, the tension between groups of people and a stubborn pleasure-loving executive may become even more palpable. Perhaps objections by the people to our president accepting a $400 million âpalace in the skyâ jet from Qatar IS a violation of the American Constitution & a step too far, eh?
When the Sun enters Gemini later that day, perhaps there will be an about face, as Gemini can be fickle. And, since Americaâs current presidentâs natal Sun/Uranus conjunction in Gemini has proven to be part of how American policy is decided at this point, a change of mind is always possible. We begin by discussing all the ASTRO NEWS YOU CAN USE from this past week, how itâs played out, & whatâs on the horizon as we make our way through this monthâs lunar cycle which began with the Taurus New Moon square to the Mars/Pluto opposition on April 27.
Since Venusâs entrance into Aries April 30 (until June 6), weâve seen some âlet them eat cakeâ resistance to consumer prices heating up due to pending tariff wars begun by the U.S. Government. And the Venus/Neptune conjunction in Aries May 2 illustrated a likewise laissez faire attitude toward the U.S. Constitutionâs Fifth Amendment by President Donald Trump who, when asked on Meet The Press if he agreed âthat citizens and noncitizens in the United States were entitled to due process,â was less than comforting.
âI donât know,â Mr. Trump replied. âIâm not, Iâm not a lawyer. I donât know.â This as we waxed toward the first quarter monthly lunar âcrisis in actionâ square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun May 4, illustrating the vague nonchalance yet recalcitrance of a stubborn leader (Taurus Sun) to take responsibility for the due process rights of individuals (Leo Moon) under U.S. law.
Keep in mind that our short-term monthly mission since April 27âs Taurus New Moon has been to plant seeds that reflect our more present-day values--as opposed to old, outdated, no longer applicable ones, like say, that trickle-down economics is the way to go, lol. However, the major point of this monthâs lunation is that once we discover (or rediscover) our soulâs true, lasting values, we may have to fight for them, as per the Mars opposite Pluto signature at the Taurus New Moon.
Meanwhile Plutoâs station retrograde on May 4 (until October 14) provides us all the perfect opportunity to dig deeply into our psyches to better discover our soulâs true, lasting values. In doing so, we discover our shadow sides and bring them out into the light to be forever vanquished. The end result is that of greater personal empowerment, yeah!
We look too at the upcoming entrance of Mercury into Taurus on May 10, & the already anticipated slowdown of both travel & trade. Ports on the West Coast are already reporting fewer ships docking there from places like China, a redux of the pandemic era's import shortages from only a few short years ago. Likewise, tourism to America and spending on travel within America, is down and forecast to stay that way for the foreseeable future.
As we wax toward the May 12 Scorpio Full Moon which conjoins Juno, the archetypal symbol of partnership, & opposes the Taurus Sun, Uranus, & goddess of health Hygeia, weâve already seen a few surprising firsts. On April 8âafter a surprisingly quick conclave in Rome that lasted less than two full daysâthe first American-born Pope was chosen to lead the worldâs 1.4 billion Catholics.
In addition to being the first American to become pope, Pope Leo XIV is also the first member of the Augustinian Order, a Catholic religious order founded in 1244. He attended St. Augustine Seminary near Holland, Michigan, and spent much of his career as a missionary in Peru.

It also awakened in us the knowledge that the governmentâs denial of the constitutional right to due process by paying the El Salvadoran dictator $15M to house such prisoners is coming out of taxpayer money.
By April 20âs third quarter crisis in consciousness monthly lunar waning fixed square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sunâwhich included the Moonâs opposition to Mars & conjunction to Pluto, along with the Sunâs square to Marsâwe knew this was a set up for something potentially alarming to happen.
And so it did, as hours later as the Moon perfected its conjunction to Pluto, the lord of the underworld, Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 during the early hours of April 21. This event, occurring two days before the Taurus Sunâs exact square to Pluto, & five days before the third Mars/Pluto opposition on April 26, echoed those of the recent past.

By the time Venus moves back into Aries on April 30, Mars becomes her dispositor. That means Venus is once again the warrior &, as the ruler of the Sun in Taurus, weâre all more inclined to defend & protect not only our own rights, but to fight for the rights of those who are less able to defend & protect themselves.
By the time Venus conjoins Neptune in Aries May 2, we may well see a greater empathic response from the collective related to a myriad number of issues, the importance of which the collective will have awakened to by then. Thatâs as long as we allow the Taurus Sun to ground us & we donât go off into flights of fantasy about whatâs really happening around us.

Trump is a Gemini Sun/Uranus, which in its lowest manifestation is far more than âmercurialâ--& as has been proven throughout his time in the presidency--to be erratic & mayhem-oriented.
So, the whipsaw like back and forth on tariffs during both Mercury & Venus retrograde periods should really be no surprise. (This podcast highlights how the recent Mercury retrograde period triggered an important T-square in Trumpâs chart, so give it a listen!)
Whatâs changing now, however, is how undeniably obvious this has become as well as how potentially disruptive to both the U.S. & global trade & economy. With Mercury now direct, however, weâve seen yet again additional changes in plans from the U.S. Government vis-Ă -vis tariffs.
Whatâs becoming more and more obvious, however, to even the average news absorber, is that Trumpâs assumption that his tariffs will succeed when theyâve been historically proven to weaken Americaâs dollar, lead to losses for American companies, & create turmoil in the financial markets, is their complete unworkability.
We approach now the April 12 Libra Full Moon, which occurs at 23â20â Libra in opposition to the Aries Sun conjunct wounded healer Chiron, while they all form a cardinal T-square to Mars in Cancer. Less than an hour later Venus stations direct in Pisces, telling us itâs time to check in on the status of our partnerships.
Can you spell "F-R-U-S-T-R-A-T-I-O-N?"
As both Venus & Mercury begin to gather speed in their forward trajectory, we can see more clearly the results of how these astrological energies are currently playing out, at least here in America. This lunation highlights that we have here a âwounded king/ruler/autocrat wanna-beâ facing opposition from the âpeople,â who desire to be more partnership-oriented with the rest of the world rather than less.
In essence, this lunationâwhich has the Libra Moon reflecting back to the wounded Sun its own lightâasks us to release any tendencies toward an âitâs my way or the highwayâ type leadership that leads only to opposition, and to begin to negotiate & compromise. This becomes difficult, however, since whatâs wounded the Aries Sun is its lack of ability to back down in the face of having proactively made disastrous decisions.
We look forward now to Mercury reentering Aries on April 16 or 17, depending on your time zone, and Mars reentering Leo April 17/18. Will Trump double down on his losing proposition to impose 145% tariffs on Chinese imports as China ups the ante by raising its tariff rates on U.S. goods to 125 percent on April 12?
Especially when economists already know that this kind of trade war will result in higher prices for American consumers. âChinaâs factories produce more than those in the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Britain combined, and many of the products imported to the United States come from China,â according to the New York Times.
And thatâs not mentioning how the U.S. House of Representatives managed to pass a continuing budget resolution on April 10, as we waxed toward the Libra Full Moon, that will keep Trumpâs 2017 tax cuts for billionaires & cut trillions from government services. This passed 216 to 214, with zero democrats voting for it & two republicans jumping ship to side with the democrats.

For example, in addition to the devastating storms that raged through the U.S. after the March 13/14 Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse, and just before the Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse on March 29, we learned of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar. The massive destruction there has now left 3,455 people dead, another 4,715 people injured, and 341 missing, according to Myanmarâs military-led government.
We discuss also whatâs occurred between the inferior conjunction of the Sun in Aries to Venus retrograde on March 22 and its heliacal rising circa March 29, which echoes the themes of this eclipse series--with the addition of the fall from grace of prominent people. This theme was mirrored in last nightâs removal by the high court of the South Korean president after he instituted martial law back on December 12, 2024, and may represent a harbinger of the future elsewhere.
Here in America, there are plenty of people losing their positions, such as unelected billionaire Elon Musk whoâs responsible for major labor cuts and funding throughout the federal government thatâs just now beginning to take effect by touching peoples lives personally. But the real news is that the tide is beginning to turn as voters in Wisconsin elected a democrat to the state's supreme court on April 2, reducing GOP influence in a swing state that voted overwhelmingly for Trump last November. And, although two GOP House representative won their special elections in deep red regions of Florida, the turnout there severely alarmed GOP operatives as the percentages of those wins dropped drastically from last November.
In addition, the democrats in Congress show signs of beginning to wake up and fight back since this Aries solar eclipse & as we approach the waxing cardinal first quarter monthly lunar âcrisis in actionâ square on April 4. Even some hardcore GOP members of Congress are now objecting to Trumpâs massive tariffs on nearly all foreign nations that trade with America. These eclipses, combined with Mercuryâs retrograde period starting on March 14 at the lunar eclipse, have included a review of trade contracts & agreements.
Between the combination of Venus retrograde from March 1 through April 12 & Mercuryâs retrograde cycle from March 14 through April 7, weâve seen the weakening of global partnerships (Venus) with America mainly through the issue of trade (Mercury.)
And, as the U.S. continues to maintain its isolationist âus versus themâ stance on trade and its expansionist threats against its partners, retaliation is threatened by these partners (Aries)âagain. Fingers crossed that mercurial unpredictable President Trump will come to a final conclusion on his tariff threats, due to go into effect on April 5, by the time Mercury stations direct again on April 7.
Such threats have already tanked the financial markets, alarming many, even though the jobs report today was a positive one. But the federal worker cuts have not hit the unemployment stats yet, and we have not yet felt the full brunt of economic effects based on the increase in prices of goods imported into the U.S. Economistsâ estimates this will cost the average American between $1600 & $3,800 per year--which essentially amounts to a rise in taxes.
As people begin to wake up to all of this and how it will affect them & those they love personally, attitudes are beginning to shift in alignment with the post Aries New Moon solar eclipse energies. In addition, Neptuneâs ingress into Aries on March 30 is slowly allowing the birth of a new consciousness around the worldâs current predicament to arise and events indicate now that action will follow.
Looked at symbolically, NY Senator Cory Bookerâs record breaking 25+ hour speech on the Senate floor on April 2 that excoriated Trump, Musk, and others for their careless, callous edicts & actions (hereâs lookinâ at you Pete Hegseth & Mike Waltz), represented the birth of a new political awakening & retaliatory defiance.
In addition, a new era is heralded by Neptuneâs entrance into Aries for the next fourteen years until 2038. Since Neptune rules the natural 12th House of gestation, and Mars-ruled Aries the proactivity necessary for the act of birth, weâre witnessing now the birth of consciousness within the collective that the old order is falling away and a new one will eventually mature into adulthood.
While weâre still a long way from that phase of Neptune in Aries, we know that Neptune will be joined soon by Saturn in Aries on May 24. It seemed back then like things were only going downhill from there-- what with unelected billionaire Elon Musk in charge of gutting federal governmental services that U.S. citizens rely on under the guise of eliminating waste & fraud.
Moving fast and breaking things his specialty, Musk didnât take long to fall out of favor with Americans suffering from his financial cuts by the time we reached the March 6 first quarter lunar crisis in action mutable square of the Gemini Moon to the Pisces Sun. Muskâs reply?
âEverybodyâs talkinâ at me, I donât hear a word theyâre sayingâŠâ
Things were in flux all right, and by the time of the March 7/8 Pisces Sun trined Marsâby then direct in Cancer since February 23âit was clear that everything was not going to be ok. It slowly began to dawn on larger numbers of people that Americaâs current situation was not sustainable and that a radical change would be necessary for the future, as Erin Sullivan defines this aspect in her book âRetrograde Planets.â
By March 8, U.S. green card holdersâlegally allowed to live and work here--were being arrested without being charged with a crime or the right to an attorney & sent to harsh ICE prisons. By March 9, both Americans and Canadians were fed upâthe former with Muskâs federal job & funding cuts beginning to reverberate negatively throughout society & the latter as the U.S. president refused to shut up about making Canada Americaâs 51st state--& began attacking Tesla dealerships.
Meanwhile, lawsuits against the Trump administrationâs actions began to deluge the courts and now total 146. Approximately one-third of these are now under judicial restraints via various judgesâ rulings against federal employee firings, the defunding of Congressionally approved programs, veteransâ healthcare and other benefits, and so much more.
With Venus already retrograde in Aries since March 1 & Mercury having stationed retrograde in Aries 14/15--just after the first Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse on March 13/14âit seemed inevitable that the truth was beginning to dawn even on those whoâd voted for this current administration of billionaires. Not to mention their GOP Congressional sidekicks whoâd by then become too afraid to hold public town halls with their angry constituents.
However, since the Sun/Neptune conjunction in Pisces March 19 & the Sunâs entrance into Aries at the spring equinox March 20, a shift began to take place. Such an obvious lack of compassion of the âlet them eat cakeâ kind, combined with a callous inattention to detail, began to give way by the time the Sunâs entrance into Aries called us all into the fight.
Since they, weâve been morphing away from delusional Piscean energy & toward the higher Piscean manifestation of empathy, & into a more proactive âfight for the right to have rights!â Aries battle cry. And with Venus retrograde have reached her inferior conjunction with the Sun in Aries March 22, weâre now, by March 29, at the heliacal rising at time when global leaders tend to lose their heads, so to speakâŠ
At the Sun joined Mercury in Aries on March 24âusually an important announcement of some kind from or about leaders, as I noted in last weekâs podcastâwe learned about how top secret U.S. military classified information was disseminated via the unprotected Signal chat app. As we move closer to early Mayâs conjunction between transiting Uranus and âoff with his headâ fixed star Algol, no surprise that calls for the resignation of our current Pisces Moon Defense Secretary are, in true Aries fashion, getting louder by the day.
My March 26âs Mars square to wounded healer Chiron, it was obvious how this incident âwoundedâ our military by weakening its defenses through allowing those listening (are you listening Russia? How about you China? Oh, and what about Iran?) as one of the participants on that chat was actually IN Moscow on an unsecured line at the time. Are ya wakinâ up yet, folks?

We have the recent storms which swept through the American south & southwest beginning March 14, the day of the Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse that sparked tornadoes, wildfires, high winds and dust storms across eight states over. The result? At least 42 people dead and dozens injured.
In addition, the Trump Administration authorized an attack on the Houthis in Yemen on March 15, in which at least 53 people were killed, including five children and two women, and 98 others were wounded, according to the Houthi-run health ministry. The Houthis have described the attacks as a "war crime" and vowed retaliation.
Thatâs in addition to a fire in a nightclub that killed 59 people in North Macedonia March 16, the deportation of 261 Venezuelans in America accused of being gang members & sent to El Salvador March 15. Itâs been discovered since, in true Neptunian fashion, that not all are gang members & that at least one is a professional soccer player who fled Venezuela after having participated in protests against the Maduro government and was arrested there & tortured.
Israel declared the ceasefire in Gaza over & resumed airstrikes in Gaza March 18, killing more than 400 people including many women and children, and injuring at least 500, according to Gaza health officials.
As we approach the Aries New Moon solar eclipse at 9-degrees Aries on March 29, should we expect more of the same? When we look at whatâs going on now in the U.S.--with an algorithm system having been given more credence than quality of life--we can see what kind of mess the U.S. is in right now. As jobs & servicesâparticularly those related to health & human services--âdisappear,â the Virgo Moon reminds the Pisces Sun that facts DO matter when it comes to quality of life.
In essence, the Virgo Mon reminds the Pisces Sunâgathered together with rigid Saturn & often confused Neptuneâof two things: 1. That you cannot ignore facts or make them up to fit your wishful thinking (or delusional) plan; & 2. That itâs time to ground this plan in reality using a strictly analytical âjust the facts, maâmâ methodology.
However, this is not what is happening now as the U.S. governmental foundations implode under their own weight and the balance of democracy itself weighs in the balance. While everyone seems to agree that Virgoan efficiency is necessary to cut out waste & fraud, no one seems to have derived the proper methodology to calculate the correct numbers and to create a viable plan that doesnât shock everyone into a rebellious stance.
Letâs not forget that Mercury's Virgo rules the 6th House in whatâs known as the natural chart in western tropical astrology. And the 6th House rules service, health, & work, in terms of what we do on a daily basis. The Virgo Moon at this lunar eclipse reminds the Pisces Sun & his friends Saturn & Neptune that you cannot simply fire people en masse with little notice & zero compassion and expect a positive response.
There is an irony at this lunar eclipse, however, which is that the Virgo Moon conjoins the Virgo SN at this lunation, which means itâs opposing not only the Sun, Saturn, & Neptune now, but the Pisces North Node as well. And in evolutionary astrology, we are to move away from the shadow side of Virgo energy & toward the more empathetic spiritually healing energy for which Neptune-ruled Pisces is known.
As evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest put it in his recent newsletter: ââŠthe south node of the Moon represents the gravity of old habits which are holding us back, while the north node symbolizes the remedy that can liberate us...Right now,â he continues, âthe bottom line is that we are all collectively beginning to experience the pressure of any unresolved âVirgo karmaâ we may be holding onto--and hopefully looking to Pisces for some answers, resolutions, and a new direction.â
But the U.S is experiencing now its already triggered Pluto return, which means weâre in the process of evolving, though no one knows yet what this nation will evolve into. We can simply look at the tariffs imposed by President Trump against our closest neighbors & strongest trading partners that went into effect March 4, but were then delayed at the first quarter monthly lunar âcrisis in actionâ square of the Gemini Moon to the Pisces Sun on March 6.
Again, breaking up is hard to do, eh? We may see an answer between now and the March 13/14 lunar eclipse--which occurs at roughly the same time as the U.S. budget deadline in Congress--If negotiations result in a compromise OR not, causing the U.S. Government to shut down at 12:01 a.m. on March 15.
Itâs clear the energy of this upcoming eclipse will be in play as we wait and watch to see if the desires of billionaires for tax cuts trump the needs of average hard working Americans for governmental services.

The danger here lies with the fact that the current commander in chief of the armed forces is Donald Trump, who during his last administration wanted to use the military to shoot Black Lives Matter protestors. He is now setting the stage to be able to do exactly thatânext time protestors take to the streets.
Then thereâs Venus stationing retrograde March 1 through April 12, when Venus will move back from Aries into Pisces. This is a period during which--according to Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan in her book âRetrograde Planetsâ--we begin a time of global review.
Between now and the inferior conjunction of the Aries Sun with Venus retrograde on March 22, & its heliacal rising March 28/29, is when âthe reconsideration of what is diplomatic, & what is necessary to maintain a balanced world view & sense of integrity, is precisely what happensâ to us both individually & collectively, Sullivan says. It's clear now that the February 14 Leo Full Moon has awakened many to the fact that the Aquarius New Moon planted seeds allowing us to gain a new perspective. And that Uranus direct has led to the revelatory aha moments for which itâs known by the time the Leo Full Moon revealed how ideological ideas of âperfectionâ are difficult to manifest in the real world & that the sudden changes ruled by Uranus can cause trauma.
And that unconventional government oversight based on idealistic notions by unelected people placed in positions of power now hold our future security in their hands. That the âpie in the skyâ visions of the ideological fundamentalists begun earlier this month now in charge of the U.S. Government have caused both individuals--and groups of peopleâactual harm through loss (Pisces Sun.)
Now, as we approach next weekâs Mars station retrograde in Cancer on February 23 & Mars begins to gather speedâin combination with this past monthâs Aquarian awakening--we begin to realize that this retrograde period brought up from our unconscious whatâs really most important to us on a deeper soul level. AND that THIS is what's rousing us out of our apathy to fight back against.
As we begin to identify with our âinner warriorâ weâll experience the Pisces New Moon on February 27 with its waxing square to Jupiter & its pending trines to Mars, which the Sun completes on March 2 & 7, respectively. Greater empathy for those suffering in the "there, but for the grace of God, go I" are the seeds we are called to plant then.
Meanwhile, Venus will station retrograde in Aries on March 1, while Mercury moves into Mars-ruled Aries March 3, as the U.S. Congress continues to argue over whether billionaires deserve additional tax cuts reliant on financial cuts to services for the average American citizen.

Discussion includes how this past weekâs Leo Full Moon exposed the plight of individuals against ideological notions of âa more perfect unionâ as the ongoing U.S. Pluto return reveals how corporate greed is rotting governmental foundations from the inside out.
Pluto=other peoplesâ money=taxpayer dollars. Pluto also=joint resources=federal loans & grants. In Uranus-ruled Aquarius, which Pluto will transit through until March 2043, itâs about transformation of joint resources due to ideological notions of a âmore perfect union.â
But Aquarius is an âof the people, by the people, for the people,â humanitarian archetypal notion. The kind that represents humanitarian advances in technology that make life better for us all. However, given that the effects of U.S. Pluto return--triggered initially @27â33â Capricorn in 2022âwill last until about 2036 if history proves educationalâitâs highly likely this period will culminate as a time of âpower to the people.â
It's just that itâs going to take a while to get there and it wonât happen without a fight. However, the signs of an infected U.S. governmental systemâbased on financial policies such as more deregulation, fiscal austerity, trickle down economics of the âstarve the beastâ kindâhave burst through into consciousness during the new Trump administration.
The February 9 Sun/Mercury conjunction in Aquarius, squares by the Aquarius Mercury & Sun to sudden change maker Uranus on February 10 & 11, & the February 12 Leo Full Moon, respectively, have brought alarm & consternation, but also additional clarity as these aspects highlight disenfranchisement of the individual.
In addition, as the news continues to fly so fast and furiously that itâs hard to keep up, one fact stands out in stark relief. And that is that technology matters more than people. Thatâs because non-elected folks like billionaire Elon Musk continue to use AI to parse out what the tech bros describe as âwaste & fraudâ in the American Treasury Departmentâs systems of payments.
With no oversight, they seem to be the only onesâalong with newly appointed billionaires who now head major governmental cabinet postsâin charge of the U.S. payment system. And that includes not only humanitarian medical & food aid both at home & abroad, but Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, student loans, and much more.
When oligarch wannabes steer the ship, itâs becoming easier to see that the final destination is NOT enhanced people power, but rather corporate power uber alles, which means âabove everything else.â
Will the upcoming entrance of Neptune into Aries on March 30 save us? What about when Saturn enters Aries on May 26 and the two planets run side by side in 2025 before they exact conjoin at the 0° Aries point on February 20, 2026. And how about the upcoming trine of Uranusâafter it enters Gemini July 7âto Pluto in Aquarius, the effects of which weâll begin to feel in 2025 and which will last through to 2029.

There is no doubt, since the January 29 Aquarius New Moon & the direct stations of Uranus & Jupiter, that the news has been flying so fast and furiously that itâs been difficult to keep up most days unless youâre a diehard news addict. No wonder sudden shock (Uranus=sudden change) related to codified U.S. law (Jupiter=law, immigration, higher education, religion, philosophy, ethics & morals) has shaken many Americanâs faith in their governing systems.
Venus represents who we value as partners, finances, and what we do to earn our money, a.k.a., work, or our âjobs.â And now, since Venus in Aries sextiled Pluto on February 7, these most unconventionalâand many say illegalâorders out of President Trumpâs White House have prompted legal push back. And the fight (Aries) over governmental finances, jobs, & between existig allies & trading partners (Venus) continues.
The opportunity to fight back against Plutonic efforts to disempower people by imposing tariffs against allied trading partners, withholding funds from Americans, laying off government workers, discontinuing funding for charitable efforts, etc., has began to bear fruit, considering that a double-digit number of lawsuits have been filed to date. And word has it there will be more anonâŠafter all, the Jupiter mission, now direct, is expansion, lol...
We wait to see if there are any new major shocking announcements of the legal sort between now & February 9âs Aquarius Sun/Mercury conjunction, Mars/Saturn trine, February 10âs Mercury/Uranus square, & February 11âs Sun/Uranus square, as we head into the February 12âs Leo Full Moon.
We do know that Trump's been experiencing a square from transiting Saturn in Pisces from his 7th House of partnership to his natal 10th House Gemini Uranus (which conjoins his Gemini North Node & Sun there), likely spurring his need to shock through unconventional pronouncements.
Since several judges have stayed his Executive Orders on issues concerning U.S. birthright, stoppage of funding via USAID, lay-offs of federal workers, granting non elected individuals access to the Treasury Department's payment system, and more, to date, we may well have Saturn to thank. Especially since transiting Saturn will go on to exact square his natal Nodes, Sagittarius Moon, & Gemini Sun--all by April 12, we may see more delays or shut downs of these efforts. We shall see...
This Leo Full Moon forms a fixed cross as the Leo Moon opposes the Aquarius Sun & both luminaries square Juno in Scorpio (the partner in the sign of joint resources) opposite Uranus (sudden change.) This period will likely shock even more people out of their complacency over Trumpâs attempts to take a wrecking ball to Americaâs usual civil & legal structures. Some are calling this a coup from the inside, which puts a new slant on Trumpâs âdeep stateâ propaganda to mean that HE is the âdeep state.â *(Well, it wouldn't be the first time that he is what he projects others to be, right?)
Meanwhile, we delve into the meaning of the recent shift of the transiting nodal axis into a Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, & take a look at the health implications (not only for the U.S. but for the world) since the Hygeiaâs (asteroid goddess of health) conjoined with the dwarf planet Eris, the goddess of chaos & discord on January 9. This as we await whether the February 11 Senate voters confirm that RFK, Jr., will become our next U.S. Secretary of Health & Human Services.
This, as wounded healer Chiron in Aries (wound around the previous inability to take action or to be proactive) heads toward its exact conjunction with Eris on May 26. A lot will likely happen between now and then, given other major astrological shifts coming up, so weâll wait, and watch, and seeâŠ
