But when they are approached by a mysterious old man who has lost a priceless family heirloom, their only clue leads them to a troublesome gang of familiar boys who may have gotten in over their heads - and dragged Felix and Allan deeper into the mystery than they ever expected. Felix Fleming and Allan Reed are childhood friends living in the sandy wastes on the outskirts of Drywater with dreams of making it as big-time journalists. After finding the crashed remains of an old rocket transport, the duo are able to turn the wreckage into a broadcast antennae for their own pirate radio station so they can speak truth to power on the airwaves. The only problem? Now they actually need a story to report. But when our heroes stumble upon a long-forgotten artifact while lost in the woods, they uncover a rabbit hole of corruption that goes deeper than they could possibly imagine.
