  • Serial killers have long perplexed normal members of society, for a number of reasons. One of the main questions we ask is, ‘How do they get away with it?’ Some people operate with total anonymity by being ruthless and yet blend in, staying in motion, or being undetectable based on their personality traits. But, was Keith Hunter Jespersen really one such killer? Using the façade of “family” man and provider while simultaneously murdering women across several states, were his exploits really that shocking to those who knew him well? Join Eye for an Eye as we talk about Keith Hunter Jesperson and his murderous exploits, as well as where we can find him today.

  • Eye for an Eye returns with our ‘Through the Looking Glass’ series of interviews with a returning favorite. Casey Sherman rejoins Lisa, and Matt for a breakdown of the book that made him a star investigative reporter.
“A Rose for Mary - The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler” is personal for Casey. His aunt, Mary Sullivan, was the final and youngest victim of the Boston Strangler. Boston Police supposedly caught the Strangler - or did they? Casey investigated every level of this case, which is not only gripping for its subject matter, it’s an unwinding of the world of deceit and self-preservation at the highest levels of the Criminal Justice system.
Join us as we explore how the case played out, how it was handled in the time it happened, and how one family member sacrificed everything to uncover the truth.

  • Some cases challenge us because the outcome isn’t what we anticipated. Others have so many twists and turns, we have to keep our thoughts straight to discuss them. And some cases are more mystifying than others, to the point that we not only don’t know the cause of death for the victim, but we don’t even know their real name. Join Eye for an Eye on one of our most puzzling Blind Eye cases, where we discuss the man known to the public as Lyle Stevik, a man who has become more famous in death than it seems he ever intended…

She’s not holding back any opinions or information, so we get a firsthand look inside the criminal justice system. A rare glance reveals the truth about what being a police officer in a large American city is really like. • Join Jules, Lisa and Matt on a thought-provoking and chilling journey as we explore the evidence, scrutinize the theories, and question the verdict that has left many perplexed and divided.
In the quiet town of Rowlett, Texas, a seemingly idyllic suburban home transforms into a scene of unimaginable horror. On June 6, 1996, Darlie Routier, a young mother of three, claimed that an intruder had broken into her home, brutally attacked her and her children, and left her fighting for her life. Tragically, two of her sons did not survive the ordeal.
But as investigators delved into the details, inconsistencies emerged, and Darlie soon found herself accused of a heinous crime: the murder of her own children. The case captured national attention, fueled by sensational media coverage and a series of shocking revelations that challenged the initial narrative.
In this gripping podcast series, we explore the complexities of the Darlie Routier case, dissecting the evidence, examining the forensic analysis, and exploring the motives behind the prosecution's case. We delve into the courtroom drama, revealing the strategies employed by both the defense and the prosecution, and examine the role of public perception in shaping the outcome.
We confront the lingering questions that continue to haunt this case: Did Darlie Routier commit these unspeakable acts? Or was she a victim of a flawed investigation and a rush to judgment?
As we peel back the layers of this compelling story, we also explore broader themes of justice, the death penalty, and the impact of media on high-profile trials. We invite you to join us on this riveting exploration, where we seek to shed light on the Darlie Routier case and challenge your own perceptions of guilt and innocence.

  • The human brain is an incredible organ. You see, our brains spend every single moment firing signals so we can simply exist. On November 15, 2004, investigators would get a firsthand look at just how powerful the human brain can be. Peter Porco, a 52-year-old state Appellate Division court clerk and married father of two, was a man of habit. Peter had a simple morning routine- as many of us do, and November 15th was no different. Peter got out of bed, changed out of his clothes, went into his bathroom to freshen up over his sink, walked down the stairs, made some coffee, emptied the dishwasher, packed a lunch, wrote a check, walked over to his front door and ...collapsed to the floor...in a pool of his own blood. In truth November 15th was different…. Very different. Join Lisa, Matt, Jules and our very special guest Melissa- as we unpack one of the most savage crimes we've ever covered and debate who we believe was to blame. In the end, only you can decide- did the punishment fit the crime?
