Facial Eczema is one of NZ's most challenging ruminant animal diseases. It is also one of the most misunderstood and underdiagnosed. It is a dangerous liver disease, causing pain and stress to cows and a significant drop in production – which can force you to dry off up to 60 days early. This episode is from a recent live conversation with Farm Source Senior Veterinarian Manager Mike Shallcrass, and Seales Winslow Consultant Nutritionist Paul Sharpe. We discuss zinc dosing and the merits of the different methods available, and we want to hear from you on how you manage your herd zinc intake.
